Stopped in last Saturday for an early lunch. Got a booth in the back where we could see the water. The dining room is festive with plenty of tables and chairs. They've got a good sized menu with lots of options. They bring chips and salsa to the table right away, we asked for a side of guacamole. Our server was friendly and ok with my request for no dairy. I ordered the crab enchiladas with green sauce - - there wasn't much sauce so not sure how tasty it was. Rice and beans were fine, nothing special. My boys would eat Fresh's carne asada tacos every day if they could! They have yet to order anything else off the menu and we've been several times since moving to Waldport a couple months ago. My husband and I, on the other hand, have enjoyed exploring the menu and haven't had anything yet that we wouldn't order again, including the carnitas de puerco, the pollo all crema, chili verde, and this taco salad-the photo doesn't show the ample amount of ground beef and refried beans that's underneath the lettuce. It's a solid menu, the service has always been good, and the food arrives impressively fast. Fresh Mexican has some good Mexican food. I went here twice with a group of people and we really enjoyed the food. First, I ordered the Enchiladas and Tamales. The chicken in the Enchiladas could have used some more seasoning, but once I added their delicious salsa on top of the enchiladas, they were just right. The Tamales tasted good and I added salsa to those too. The next time I went, I have the three fish tacos combo and I felt that the fish was kind of bland. I added salsa to those tacos and they were okay, but it isn't something I would order again. The rice and beans were tasty and I could have eaten them alone. The staff are friendly and attention. First visit. Was greeted promptly and informed I could choose my own seat. Chose a booth by the window. They bright me chips and salsa. Ordered a single chicken chimichanga. It arrived quickly and the plate looked attractive. However the food was uninspired. While the chicken tasted fresh and moist it had no flavor. The refried beans and rice were also bland. $11.50 for one chimichanga with a portion of rice and beans is a bit steep, but this is the coast. Other concerns: - Waitress never came by to ask how my food was. This is kind of a pet peeve of mine. - Looked up at the ceiling and there was a large spot where dirt or something was hanging down. On Google, this restaurant is called Fresco Family Restaurant but it's the same place. We walked in and placed a takeout order but noticed they had every other booth closed during COVID and the outdoor seating area looked like a great spot to enjoy dinner with our dogs had we wanted to eat outside. My husband got the fish tacos and the house margarita and I got the carnitas burrito and a horchata. The fish tacos and the horchata were delicious, but the burrito and margarita left us wanting a little more. We also enjoyed the chips and flavorful salsa that came with it! Not many options in Waldport for dinner on Easter Sunday but this place got our vote. My wife and I had the two taco dinner (her) and I had the Puerco Carne Asada tacos. They got 2 stars cause there chips and salsa were good, the rest was crap for basically 50 bucks with tip ! I've had decent meals here before, but a few days ago I went in to get some food to go. This is a sit down restaurant, so I decided to order just a side of beans and rice to make it simple. I ordered a diet soda to sip on while I waited. After a few minutes, I received my little plate of beans and rice. The portions were very meager. I honestly thought the plate was empty when the counter service employee handed it to me. It was a tiny paper plate, covered with aluminum foil. I opened it up to see About a quarter inch layer of refried beans on half the plate, and on the other half, a 1/4 inch layer of rice. it took me about two minutes to eat this portion. It was about seven bites of food. With the soda and the food it cost $11. When I asked the counter service if this was an accurate portion for the order, she didn't feel at all apologetic. I would personally be ashamed to serve someone such a small portion of food for $11. The beans were very bland and the rice was also forgetful. I think if this were my business, I would have done whatever I could to remedy the situation and make the customer happy. But this particular place did not have that attitude and therefore I will not be going there again. read more

We didn't come here for an authentic Mexican food experience. We came here because we were hungry. Service was very good; the server was quite attentive. Food was cooked fresh and quickly, and came out hot. My daughter doesn't even really care all that much for Mexican food and she loved the steak fajitas. No one left hungry, that was for sure.
