The food was excellent! It was the best Carnitas De Pollo I've had! The sauce was flavored with chicken stock and tomatoes and spices. Peppers, onions and mushrooms were fresh and flavorful! The service was excellent. Our attentive waiter was knowledgeable and consistent with filling our water and keeping us in napkins. Ordered Camerones ala diabla spicy shrimp, the food had a really good flavor. I wish they had homemade tortillas with this type of plate, this would really make this place even better! Also tried the wrapped in bacon shrimp, their portions are decent. Orders come with rice & refried beans. I do recommend it. This restaurant is within walking distance of the hotel I was staying at. I decided to give it a go and glad I did. I ordered the Burrito Special with Carne Asada. Although not made as huge as so many restaurants do these days , it was delicious. I was also glad to be full, but not feeling regret. I also tried their strawberry Margarita, which was excellent, but expensive. I should have asked before ordering a $13.50 drink. One star off for the cost. Otherwise an excellent meal. read more

Was very good quality food..it did lack some flavor and portions were good although there could have been more rice and beans. A couple more stops to our table would have been nice as we would have gotten more tortillas for our fajitas and another round of drinks. Was traveling through the area and came across Fresh Mexican food. It was busy but was seated immediately and had great service. The food was delicious and tasty Margaritas. I accidentally left my cc there and didn't realize it until the next day when we were 100s of miles from there. I called them and they had it. I asked them to mail it to me which they did. Stopped in last Saturday for an early lunch. Got a booth in the back where we could see the water. The dining room is festive with plenty of tables and chairs. They've got a good sized menu with lots of options. They bring chips and salsa to the table right away, we asked for a side of guacamole. Our server was friendly and ok with my request for no dairy. I ordered the crab enchiladas with green sauce - - there wasn't much sauce so not sure how tasty it was. Rice and beans were fine, nothing special. With not too many choices in the area my date and I stopped for lunch. Not too busy at lunch with mostly tourists. My friend got an a la cart chili relleno and two taquitos a ala carte. I ordered the combo with a chicken enchilada, taco and tostada. Her plate came out pretty hot but mine was luke cold, so I asked for a reheat. They obviously miked it as the entree was hot but not the plate. Her taquitos were dry and unchewable as they used shredded breast meat that was more like jerky. The chili relleno had mozz inside that turned to rubber and the egg coating was almost non-existent. The chicken in my enchilada was the same and needed a knife to cut it. I do not believe they use salt in any of the dishes. Even with a fried jalapeno and a side chopped raw onions spread generously over all and the house salsa on top the meal was still incredibly bland. The place had tourist trap written in bold letters. Second star was for OK service. We will not be back. read more

Fresh Mexican has some good Mexican food. I went here twice with a group of people and we really enjoyed the food. First, I ordered the Enchiladas and Tamales. The chicken in the Enchiladas could have used some more seasoning, but once I added their delicious salsa on top of the enchiladas, they were just right. The Tamales tasted good and I added salsa to those too. The next time I went, I have the three fish tacos combo and I felt that the fish was kind of bland. I added salsa to those tacos and they were okay, but it isn't something I would order again. The rice and beans were tasty and I could have eaten them alone. The staff are friendly and attention. They provide quick and accurate service. I would definitely visit the restaurant again next time I visit the area. read more

My boys would eat Fresh's carne asada tacos every day if they could! They have yet to order anything else off the menu and we've been several times since moving to Waldport a couple months ago. My husband and I, on the other hand, have enjoyed exploring the menu and haven't had anything yet that we wouldn't order again, including the carnitas de puerco, the pollo all crema, chili verde, and this taco salad-the photo doesn't show the ample amount of ground beef and refried beans that's underneath the lettuce. It's a solid menu, the service has always been good, and the food arrives impressively fast. It arrived quickly and the plate looked attractive. However the food was uninspired. While the chicken tasted fresh and moist it had no flavor. The refried beans and rice were also bland. $11.50 for one chimichanga with a portion of rice and beans is a bit steep, but this is the coast. Other concerns: - Waitress never came by to ask how my food was. This is kind of a pet peeve of mine. - Looked up at the ceiling and there was a large spot where dirt or something was hanging down. I've had decent meals here before, but a few days ago I went in to get some food to go. This is a sit down restaurant, so I decided to order just a side of beans and rice to make it simple. I ordered a diet soda to sip on while I waited. After a few minutes, I received my little plate of beans and rice. The portions were very meager. I honestly thought the plate was empty when the counter service employee handed it to me. It was a tiny paper plate, covered with aluminum foil. I opened it up to see About a quarter inch layer of refried beans on half the plate, and on the other half, a 1/4 inch layer of rice. it took me about two minutes to eat this portion. It was about seven bites of food. With the soda and the food it cost $11. When I asked the counter service if this was an accurate portion for the order, she didn't feel at all apologetic. I would personally be ashamed to serve someone such a small portion of food for $11. The beans were very bland and the rice was also forgetful. I think if this were my business, I would have done whatever I could to remedy the situation and make the customer happy. But this particular place did not have that attitude and therefore I will not be going there again. read more

On Google, this restaurant is called Fresco Family Restaurant but it's the same place. We walked in and placed a takeout order but noticed they had every other booth closed during COVID and the outdoor seating area looked like a great spot to enjoy dinner with our dogs had we wanted to eat outside. My husband got the fish tacos and the house margarita and I got the carnitas burrito and a horchata. The fish tacos and the horchata were delicious, but the burrito and margarita left us wanting a little more. We also enjoyed the chips and flavorful salsa that came with it! The staff were friendly, and we waited less than 10 minutes for our food. Highly recommend! read more

Okay!! Previous experience was a lunch meal .. I had the Taco Salad in a fried shell! Went back for a dinner... I ordered the Supreme Nachos with ground beef! Three others ordered Tostada, Chicken Quesadilla, Combo plate taco, enchilada .. The service and service staff stands out in a good way.. felt inviting and cared for.. friendly, fun, also food delivery and table side attention was awesome 4 stars The Chips and Salsa was promptly served... The Salsa was and is very good... it is spicy so be aware.. but i love spicy!! The chips were just mediocre at best.. and for 4 people not enough ! They did however on request bring more.... The main course was delivered within reasonable time and was hot to the table.. The food was good! Yes i would return for a meal here for sure!! What's disappointing is its really not different than most other run of the mill Mexican restaurants!! Food presentation was as always , flat with little garnish if any, rice and beans like the plate had been run over by a steam roller before hitting table!! This seems to be a standard at most !! Doesn't have to be though and shouldn't be!! It would be nice to find a culinary cultured Mexican restaurant !! Now having said that, it was good food the service made it shine!! The atmosphere is not great but can be overlooked... the menu prices for what you got were acceptable.... The mens bathroom was a reminder of a 1962 roadside gas station experience....
