I originally contacted Miele, but they could not send a technician for several days. Techvill told me that because it was a Miele appliance, they would send a specialist, and they had someone available the following day. Based on that, I decided to use Techvill. The technician's visit was very concerning. He spent a significant amount of time on his phone, appeared unfamiliar with operating the cooktop, repeatedly turned the cooktop breakers on and off, and did not use any diagnostic equipment that I could see. He did not lift or open the cooktop to inspect the internal components, even though my husband suggested that it could be lifted. Despite this, the technician concluded that the control board was faulty and recommended a repair costing **$2,015 plus GST**. His written report specifically stated that the control board was not sending the proper voltage to the affected burners. I subsequently contacted Miele directly and was told that Techvill is **not listed as a Miele business service partner**. I was also surprised that the technician arrived without a Techvill uniform, company shirt, or visible identification. I was charged **$271.95 for the diagnostic visit**, which I have asked Techvill to refund. I have also made it clear that I do not authorize them to order the control board or proceed with the proposed repair. For me, the biggest issue is that I specifically chose Techvill because I was told a Miele specialist would be sent, yet my experience did not give me confidence that the appliance was properly diagnosed. I would recommend getting an independent diagnosis before authorizing an expensive repair based on this service visit.

The appliance suffered severe, irreparable structural and electrical damage. Allstate sent a technician from Kirpal Calgary to assess the damage. This technician conducted a completely negligent review. Despite visible charring, compromised internal components, and exposed electrical wiring sticking out of the unit, the technician claimed the appliance "looks good." It was abundantly clear that his only priority was collecting his service call fee, showing an absolute disregard for safety, liability, and professional ethics. I have provided numerous photographic records and video evidence clearly demonstrating that this appliance is a total loss and a severe fire hazard. It is deeply concerning that Allstate is choosing to accept the word of a negligent third-party contractor over indisputable photographic proof.

He and his wife donned slippers and masks when they arrived which made us feel more comfortable about having two people in our house during Covid - 19. It turned out the problem with our dishwasher was quite the enigma, but Andy wasn't going to let it defeat him! The repair took longer than expected, but Andy did not charge us a whole lot more than the estimate. He wasn't about to guarantee the length of the fix, and rightly so given the age of the dishwasher. He did however, advise us to call him if we needed new appliances, and he called us the next day to confirm the dishwasher was still working. Excellent customer service and I would hire Andy again.
