I got a full set about 6 months ago at Number One Nails and was going back for fills every 2-3 weeks which I was always happy with. I decided to have the set removed today to go back to natural nails for a bit and I am really happy with how my nails came out given I had the hard fill material on for so long. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the salon is lacking a calm/spa feel, but they certainly are quick with their service, they do a quality job, I will definitely keep coming back for my usual manicure schedule. read more

So the positive first. I have to say for once, the nails stay on. No lifting! Now for the other issues. The shape is never right. I always ask for coffin and always get squared. My nails are always filed crooked at Least 2 of them end up crooked every time. They told me my nails grow crooked lol. I went to nail salons for the last 25 years and my nails never "grew crooked" until now. It's because it's filed that way. A couple of the techs there are very nice but they have one (which I won't name or call out) I know she's popular because she's the only one who can do designs.... But she charges more and more and more every time u go. One week you might pay $70 and before you know it.... It's $100 for a fill! Just to add metallic which literally took her 2-5 mins more.... Made my fill $90. These are exquisite designs. I was hoping this was my permanent nail place now but after about a year.... And referring them to other people also.... I'm done. read more

DANGEROUS!!! I NEVER complain about anything but this place is dangerous for your health. Dirty, used tools were taken out of a drawer and I watched in horror as the nail tech wiped the tips with alcohol. News flash: alcohol does NOT kill HEPATITIS C! I stopped her and asked for STERILE tools. She argued with me that she had sterilized them with alcohol. I asked again for sterile tools, to which she finally got up and got truly sterile equipment, still in the autoclave bag. She then proceeded to do my nails in hatred. I even tipped her and she just gave me a dirty look. Do NOT allow any place to do your nails unless you personally witness the tools coming out of a sterilization bag that SHOWS the watermark seal of being truly sterile. read more

I went into this nail salon the other nite. To get my nails done. Now I had them done previous and they turned Brown!!! so went back in and got them done again. They are the gel nails. didn't think I would get charged again but they did. Ridiculous! Now when i called they told me i could write a check. The woman there is so rude! it may be the owner. So, when I paid I starting writing a check. They said no! we don't accept checks. They totally ignored my comment about the check. so I had to leave and get cash. the owner was so rude and stated leave your license or your phone!! Just to shut her up I left my phone and got cash. Traffic was so bad it took me about 30 min to get the cash. And also there was some blonde girl in there that had to put her two cents in which wasn't necessary. She had blonde and straw like hair. She had the nerve to say "oh don't rip them off". I was like mind your own business!, and basically told her to go pound sand. I should have told her to take care of that nappy blonde hair of hers! Moral of story...I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE! They talk Chinese or whatever it is and are so damn loud! Just plain ignorant!!! and they suck at nails!!!! read more

I came here because it was conveniently near a friend of mine's work and I have not stopped since. They are so nice here and ACTUALLY make an effort to talk to you and start conversations while doing your nails. I get acrylics here and come every three weeks for a fill. The guy that works here always does my nails and always does a PHENOMENAL job. I mean out of this world. He takes his time and focuses on detail and makes sure everything is perfect and exactly how I like it. I've been disappointed with my nails before but this is one time I actually hate how they turned out. I got the dipping powder, and first off I picked a color that I wouldn't say I loved, but there weren't many options to select from. Once she started taking my precious set off, she noticed a few nails had tips, and her and her coworker started talking so I couldn't understand what they were saying but of course they made sure to ask where I got them done before. So after pointing out that they were previously done wrong, they said the right way to do it. At that point I was excited thinking I'm going to have amazing nails, especially after reading all the great reviews. I've been getting dipping powder nails for almost 3 years, and never have I had grainy looking nails. Also, I've never had gel polish put on top of dipping powder. The main point of dipping powder is that it's healthier for your nails and you don't need use the harmful UV light. They didn't even clean my cuticles or clean off all the cotton fuzz after taking the previous polish off. On a positive note, I had a good pedicure, although they do not use a fresh/clean set of tools each time. read more

Let me start with the fact that I've been getting my acrylics done for 6 years now. I used to go to number one nails when it was under a different ownership and had different staff than now. Once it was under new management, I found a great nail salon at Super nails and spa 2, but the rest of my family still went to number one nails so I figured I'd give it a try. The day i got my nails done, I've never had a worse job done in my 6 years of having acrylics. I showed him a physical picture of what i wanted which was coffin and what i recurved was not coffin in the slightest bit. After 2 weeks, 4 nails have broken off WITH my real nail while doing the simplest tasks such as scratching MY DOG. They're not out grown at all, so this should have never happened. This place has been taken over and has new ownership by Phoebe and her husband Tai. I have followed Phoebe from salon to salon for many years and I'm so happy she finally got a salon of her own. I'm extremely particular about having my nails and pedicures done and have tried numerous places and people. After finding Phoebe I decided that was it! She's very detailed, they look natural, she's quick and very reasonably priced. Anyone I've taken there says the same thing. The other staff she's brought with her are all equally as conscientious as she is, I've tried them all when she's been too busy. Horrible. Do not go here. The pedicure took forever. I'm not sure the dude who did my pedi was even 18, let alone certified to do nails! I had them put on an acrylic nail on one of my big toes because I'd broken it by accident and it looked ridiculous lol. It took THREE of them to figure out how to do this AND they cut me twice. Charged me $28 and looked at me sideways when I gave a $4 tip -- I would've given nothing but I'm in the beauty industry myself and I know how that feels! It was dirty too. I'm talking gnats everywhere and old moldy food near the bathroom. Unsterile instruments used over and over again. For real just don't go. Find another place. read more

i ONLY came in here because my daughter was in a class in the same shopping center but i'd never come back. just kind of dirty, barely any magazines, and obnoxiously loud chinese television (on someone's phone!) playing. the pedicure was pretty rough, and whenever she finished with a tool she threw in in the water where my feet were to soak. kind of gross feeling all this stuff swirling around my feet. I'm giving the place two stars mostly on the basis that it felt like the whole place had a thin layer of slime, and the ambiance was non-existent. HORRIBLE I went for a manicure and after telling the woman three times that I did not want a Gel manicure because it ruins my nails she finally said ok. My French manicure was messy looking, my nails were still rough like she forgot to file them after she cut them and only used a top coat and the white (very chunky looking) tips. Usually they will put a light pink or cream color on. I had to go to CVS and get a nail file and a light color to put on top. I went in on a Friday afternoon and they were already chipped by Saturday. The place was also dingy looking and not very clean. I will never go back. read more
