I like this place. It's very welcoming . It's very easy to get in and very easy to move around. The seating is comfortable and very friendly to get around. I have trouble sometimes getting up and the chairs folded nicely . The view of the floor for basketball's is fantastic. There is no bad seat in the house . I highly recommend seeing a game here or any event for that matter... just say yes. The food selection is " ok" I wed to look around more but we needed to get to our seats. Great venue with friendly and helpful employees. We went to see a Monster Jam event here and the security process was easy and efficient. My son tripped on our way into the venue leaving him a little banged up and the staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful, whisking us off to their first aid station the second I did so much as ask for a bandaid. Great variety of food, drink and vendor tables available. Always a great experience here and will continue to attend events here without question! read more

I love this venue! The location is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking even for large concerts. Once inside the arena, it is easy to navigate and find your way to your designated seats. The bathrooms are easy to get to and have several stalls in each. The food and beer area has a decent selection and it's best to hit it right away before the lines get too long. As far as the sound of the arena goes, of course it's no MGM Garden Arena or Staples Center, but for the size of it, it has really good sound even from the upper levels. Most recently I have seen Metallica and Bob Seger here and the sound quality was very good. read more

I attended the State B basketball tourney and it was organized and well attended. On Friday evening I asked the helpers how to exit building to get to the south side ground level. I was told to exit down the stairs, so we did . No one was on the stairs and it was completely empty. As we were going down the well lit stairs someone said we could not exit that way and to go back up the stairs to go outside to the long stairs on East side of the building. We did go that way some people were coming up on the left side, so we went down the right side by the statues. I fell on the last flight. I am an elderly lady and it was not well lit, and one of the lights was out. I was not hurt, but I went and reported to some personnel and they never asked how I was, but said they would handle the light. I really felt you need a well lit stairs at night if that is the only way one can get to the south side of building.I do not see well at night and for safety I feel this needs to be addressed. Went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra and will never go back. First I felt sorry for the cops trying to direct cars and foot traffic in such a disorganized setting. Once inside, too few staff and poor signage resulted in confused people in wrong seats. Then the music was so ridiculously loud it lost all sound quality with the distortion. Couldn't understand most of what they were singing about and couldn't wait for it to be done. Afterwards the crew started taking down the equipment and blocking the people trying to exit, ignoring the security staff telling them to wait. What a waste of money. read more

Spokane arena is like any other place that holds events, but many people around me was stating how unorganized the gates were but with that many people I understand can't please everyone but staff was helpful and enjoyed the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert. read more

We have been season ticket holders for the Spokane Chiefs for years. But we were recently invited to sit in a box with several friends... So we did! The seating was awesome, the view of the ice was great. The game was great! Unfortunately the service.... not as much... In the box you are assigned a server to bring everything in for you. Part of the experience, part of the cost. We ended up getting our own refreshments... having to leave the box several times. Other than that... It was a great experience. The two starts unfortunately fall heavy on the wait staff.... 35 minutes for a beer or popcorn.... Not acceptable. read more

We attended the Monster Jam here today. It was the first time going to this venue for any event, and I thought it was amazing! Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were nice and new looking. All the restaurants that I saw had a clean and modern look to them! I have attended many different types of amazing events here at the Spokane Arena for the entire 20+ years we have lived in the area. From Stars on Ice, to Barnum Bailey Circus, but my all time favorites are The Rock and Worship Roadshow and Winterjam. Though I prefer smaller venues for Concerts I love our enthusiastic and supportive Spokanites and PNWesterners who show up! So we need LOTSA room to accomodate everyone. We should all be very thankful we have such a place to host the many things we want to see and be a part of. Ample parking, and if you don't wanna pay the price there is plenty of off site parking as well. It is well staffed and has a plethora food and concessions. I think it may be some place we take for granted. Oh, and when we were just there for the Roadshow Sunday March 11, 2018 we had purchased the special early entry ticket, it was my husbands birthday. He was so excited to find the same seats we sat in for one of these concerts previously. We had been in them for like an hour and it was about 30 minutes before the show would start. All the general seating ticketed people were in finding their seats when out of no where a arena employee came and said she needed to seat a family of 5 with a wheel chair we needed to move. I was happy to let them sit there but the problem I had was they were not marked. We had no idea that we were not supposed to be sitting there? Anyway I went to speak to Guest Services to ask why there was no signage and where we were supposed to go. They called for a Supervisor and she had to think for a few minutes but was awesome enough to escort us to the 200 seat section letting us pick our seats in the front row before everyone else was allowed in that section. My husband and I went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra on Friday night. We arrived over an hour early to the venue but were stuck in traffic for over an hour. The lots were full and the police would not let my husband pull in to drop me off, even with my handicap sticker and neck brace. We ended up parking off of Washington and walking over. This was SO, SO, SO painful! I was literally in tears. The security at the door asked me if I was okay and we told them what happened and they were so shocked. Literally ruined my entire night. I was embarrassed from crying, in so much pain and so uncomfortable. Even though police were there in the streets, they were not directing traffic. Complete disorganization. read more

We came for a Blink 182 show. We didn't have any negative experiences personally but I saw a lot of stupid things happening down on the floor where general admission was (we were in the seats). Security needs to do a better job and be clear on what their protocol is. Sometimes people crowd surfing were forced to leave the building. Other times, they were just let in the back of the GA section. I also saw people getting choked out unnecessarily (confirmed by another reviewer here). You're getting paid to keep order and keep people safe (on top of technically getting to see concerts/shows for free)... The bathroom stalls are also weird. There was a weird stall (which, of course was the only one open) where I could directly see the person on the toilet next to me (our stalls were in an L-shape) and they could see me through a half inch gap between the stall wall and the actual bathroom wall. Of course, I noticed it through my peripheral vision and didn't actually look through it. It was really awkward through and luckily the person in the other stall had a friend with her that eventually stood in front of the gap. read more

Spokane Veterans Arena is a good small venue to catch events. I was here for the NCAA tournament first round and found it to be a pretty nice site for the event. On-site parking is fairly cheap ($5) and is reasonably plentiful. The parking is right next to the arena, so there's no Baatan Death March to get to your seats. Several lots nearby were trying to undercut their prices ($4) and it's only a few blocks until you can find free parking on the streets of Spokane. As noted above, the arena is of the smaller variety, but has fairly steep aisles. What this creates is good sightlines (even smaller members of our party could see overtop of the row ahead of them) and this also allows the upper decks to be close to the action. We had lower deck seats, but ended up wandering into the upper deck during an intermission: it's actually a pretty good view, especially from the first few rows. The seats are the basic plastic kind with a drink holder in front. Nothing too plush here. The concessions are fairly basic: reasonable hot dogs that will set you back typical event markups ($3.75). Not a huge variety of concessions though (expect hotdogs, soft pretzels, hamburgers, nachos). read more

Great arena for a mid-sized city. Easy access to (cheap/free) parking, reputable restaurants, and great atmosphere. Right next to Riverfront Park, so if you want to eat south of the river, there's a bridge right there. The concessions inside are reasonably priced if you're short on time. No seat seems like a bad seat here. The aisles are steep, making a close-in feel. Saw the Chiefs play earlier this month and had front row seats in the upper level and saw the action perfectly. I remember the old Boone Street Barn as a kid - this place is much more open and comfortable. read more

It's a great venue for hockey and concerts, but God forbid you want food or drink. I'm always braced for high concession prices at events, but Jesus Christ! At least make the food of decent quality or quantity. $4.50 for less than a handful of chips and a small cup of cheese is ridiculous. And if you want a tiny cup of cheese with a pretzel, it's $1.25. Ridiculous! Why the citizens of Spokane tolerate this is beyond me. Four stars for the venue, zero stars for the concessions. read more

This is our arena. Our Spokane arena. Can't get any better than that. I had my high school graduation here, went to the Garth Brooks concert, and have attended the Monster Truck events. It really is just a staple in Spokane that where all the big things you want to attend, they are going to be here. Overpriced bottles of water and hot dogs and hard to walk through places, but it is the spot where you attend events for so many people and watch so many things happen. It really is an awesome space. I hate the pricing on the food and drink but really enjoy the events and the transitions. read more

I went to the Spokane Arena to see a Foo Fighters concert. And the concert was amazing. Dave Grohl is a legend. The doors opened about 90 minutes prior to the start of the show. I I made it to the front of the line and I was able to get to the front row up close and in the action. Dave Grohl puts his fans first always. I know he just wants his fans to have a good time. Especially when they spend $100s to be there and when they travel from far away just to see them. I was one of the first people on the floor & there were already some people up against the barrier but there was a space between a lady and a guy so I grabbed that spot and made a comment that I was just going to " slip right in here" and the lady said to me oh hell no you ain't and started elbowing me and everybody around us saw what she was doing and stuck up for me and I was eventually able to stay where I was at because there was plenty of room for me to be there. The security guard saw this whole thing take place when she was elbowing me and cussing me out. However they didn't do anything. They couldn't even give her a warning. After the show the band started throwing their pics and drumsticks out into the crowd. A pick landed right in front of me and I was trying to reach to pick it up and I asked the same security guard if he could please hand it to me and he gave me a dirty look and rolled his eyes. Then after the Foo Fighters had gone backstage I saw the security guards picking up the pics and putting them in their pockets. I'm sure this isn't illegal or anything but it's very disheartening when the band threw those mementos out to the crowd. they were intended for their fans. I've been to many venues where the security guards were super chill and cool. Regardless I'll never forget this show it was amazing. so thanks Spokane Arena for giving me the Foo Fighters read more

I've attended hockey games and concerts at the arena and I have to say, I haven't had any reason to complain. Parking is easy, employees are friendly and helpful, its easy to find and get to your seats without major congestion, concessions are easy to get to from just about anywhere and bathrooms are well placed. I love the atmosphere of this place during a weekend hockey game. Everyone gets really into it. Its a great time. read more

IF YOU LOVE TO WAIT IN LINES AND GET PISSED OFF THEN LOOK NO FURTHER! First off you will wait 20+ minutes in line for parking only to find out that the lot is full and the only parking available is on the street like an idiot. Don't worry about locking your car yet though because after you wait in another line to get into the arena, you will have to return to your car and leave your handbag there. Any bag over 6" is not allowed anywhere in the arena so it must be left in your car. The staff is really nice because they don't tell you this until you get to the front of the line. If you're a husband like me this is your time to shine. Get ready to run back to your car and drop off the handbag in the car, they aren't allowed in the area due to Covid. But don't worry, you will see dozens of other husbands doing the same thing! They are all very happy to do so as well and this extra trip back to the car just starts the night off right! Now once inside and you are ready for food go stand in any food line. This is a great way to waste time and look like an idiot doing it. The items on the menus are actually just for show. They don't have anything in stock. It's very important to wait in the food line for at least 20 minutes though because once you get to the front and find out the food is all sold out you will remember what a terrible decision it was to come to the SPOKANE ARENER!! I read a few of the reviews on this venue that seem to be more related to unruly and intoxicated people. Or the line was too long or the food prices are crazy. I have yet to ever be to any place that holds these events that these things aren't true. And I have been to many in many parts of this country and others. That said, we attended the Trans Siberian Orchestra show on Nov 24th. Lines were a little long but that is the times we live in. If you have to go thru security it will take longer. I found the security people to be friendly and quick. OMG! can you believe it? The food is a little spendy and the alcohol more so. But it all was of good quality. If you want to eat and drink for cheap, do it before you go in! Now the meat. This venue has excellent seating and viewing. Seats are padded! Still not like my Lazy Boy, but much better than a hard plastic or metal seat. The acoustics are excellent. No echo that I could hear. The show was amazing and we could see and hear everything from beginning to end. Even very soft singing. Getting out was a breeze. We took a side door exit onto Lincoln and walked to our car parked at Lincoln and Boone. Took less than 5 minutes to get on the freeway at Monroe. I think it's one of the better venues for concerts and events that I have ever been to. read more

I attended the arena for a Spokane Chiefs hockey game. It was great! The arena was large enough to impress, but not-so-large that you needed to pack energy gels to make your way around. It was a full house, but wasn't uncomfortable. Nice people, clean restrooms, better-than-Bud Light beer offerings. Entertaining! read more

Came here with my girlfriend and our 4 year old and her family on 10-30-16 for the 11am Disney On Ice show, the show was great and the seats we had about 10 rows back center were good seat, the arena is not that big but was set up perfect for the show, as for the event it was very entertaining, the only thing that sucks about going to these type of shows is the sell them dam light up toys that 20% of the audience buys and they all hold them in the air during the show, they should avoid selling them till after the show or tell people to keep them off and down during the show, as for prices it's an arena so there prices are high, as for the Disney vendors the prices are so high I'm surprised people even spend the money on anything their, is say if your going to go leave your extra money at home and just go watch the show read more

Just seen My Darkest Days, Seether, Bush, and Nickelback at the Arena, it was totally awesome. The sound radiated very well with in the complex. I will be coming back for another concert for sure! Would not mind catching a hockey game either. read more

Went to non-profit event night and i had a blast. It is a nice arena with commemorative veteran painting and memorabilia that i liked and was honored in seeing. Loved the mini doughnuts and the lounges they had, especially the good drinks. I'd stay away from a 6.27 bud light though. read more

I went here for the Blink 182 show. The place was great, the employees were very helpful. My only complaint (which I can't completely blame on them) was the sound. We were in section 115 lower seats and it was right in front of the speakers....so it was blasted in our face. I wish the seating chart would indicate where the speakers were so I don't make this mistake again. Other than that it was a great experience! read more
