Jessica was working the front counter and she was breath of fresh air, polite and friendly. I also didn't realize how big it was in there and the place was spotless and they have some old school video games in the back side area, with some nice classic booths. I've always liked Numero Uno, not just for the pizza, but because it had that old-school Valley feel where the service was personal and people seemed to genuinely care. Unfortunately, the last few visits have felt different. A few times I've ordered ahead and arrived only to find they didn't have my name or seemed confused about the order. On another visit, my wife placed the order and I went to pick it up. Someone who is normally very nice was surprisingly rude and repeatedly said, "It's Friday, we're busy." I understand being slammed on a Friday night, but you're a pizza place. Being busy on Friday should be a good thing! The pizza is still good, which is why I hope they can get the hospitality back to where it used to be. Both times I've come to Numero Uno, the pizza was absolutely delicious. We ordered the same thing as last time: the Alfredo chicken deep dish pizza. I honestly think they have the best deep dish pizza, better than the spots in Chicago. The flavors blend so well together and as heavy as each slice is, I find myself going back for more and more until I can't stuff myself anymore. The Alfredo chicken deep dish pizza is a must order. The garlic bread is also pretty good. They give complimentary garlic bread when you dine in. Service is excellent. The workers there are kind and helpful. We've been to Numero Uno a couple of times for dine-in, and the service has always been amazing--quick, friendly, and reasonably priced. This time, we ordered through DoorDash and got an extra-large pizza and the ravioli. As expected, the prices were a bit higher on the app, but nothing unreasonable. The pizza, as always, was fantastic! The crust is some of the best we've had, and it never disappoints. The ravioli wasn't bad, but next time, we'd probably try one of their other pastas instead. One of the only Numero uno locations other than the Tarzana location that tastes just like how I remember it as a kid. Always hot, always delicious. Laid back location, cozy feel..... super sweet managers and staff. Even when we have the food delivered, it tastes as delicious as it does there. This restaurant has the best employees. First off went there Friday night Steve was working. I ate in with my mom and we couldn't have had better service. He welcomes everyone who walks in the door, he is always smiling. The best positive attitude and his service made my mom and I feel like Queens. I thought he was the owner but found out he is a regular employee. What an awesome employee. My mom loves their House salad so we went back the next afternoon on Saturday to just have a light lunch no pizza. We had pizza the night before and as always absolutely fabulous. We met Kyle on Saturday. He was so kind and patient with my mom who takes quite a bit of time deciding what she wants to order. He also gad a never ending smile. I am just so impressed by seeing employees being kind and respectful and treating customers like we matter. The food is amazing too, but I wanted to give props to these wonderful employees.
