Horrible customer service! Parts get ordered for a wheelchair that started breaking and falling apart in a short amount of time. Arm rests & front wheel casters get ordered w/o even taking into consideration that they are not the correct size matching original parts. We play the insurance approval wait game and get wrong parts. Not to mention a footrest plate that was ordered to replace a broken one gets put on backwards and created a injury risk to myself lifting my son and to him.Yes the guy comes back within hours to fix & also gets handed back the new arm rests as I pointed out they were not even the correct height matching his old one, Never got back the one working old arm rest. So my son's w/c has been w/o arm rest for almost 6 months now. Called to update with doctors name & contact, customer service failed to follow thru with that doctor & to find out after all this time the service order was cancelled and my son's chair has no arm rests. WOW!! unacceptable. Customer service lady was rude when I called to find out why we hadn't gotten called to schedule service with new parts. Acted as if I'd never called in Nov. with Doctor's name and phone number, never mind I was on the phone for at least 10 minutes looking up info. on the internet which the lady could have done as easily as myself. Only one Pediatric Neurologist with Peoria OSF with the last name LIU. Asking me for fax number instead of calling the office themselves the first time. read more

I purchased a wheelchair from Numotion about 7 years ago, using my insurance. My insurance was charged over $7k for a decently built wheelchair. About two years into, a spring on one of breaks broke, so I contacted Numotion to set up an appointment to get it fixed. What I was told by this company turned my stomach... they told me that it'll take about four weeks to get a spring (little over an inch curved spring) and the most outrageous BS they told me was that meantime (since I did not have second wheelchair) I will need to rent a wheelchair from them. Hell no thanks. This company will sell you what they claim to be "great" chair (started breaking down after two years of use) but there are zero after sales support. once again the customer service is horrendous. call for repairs, takes 2-3 days for the technician to call back. he calls 5 times in 20 minutes. while I'm now in a procedure in the hospital and had been put to sleep. they don't say when the tech will call, just that they will. he did his 5 calls in 20 minutes and was done. 2 days later nothing again. so I call back and the lady Mariel said the tech would call me promptly at 7:30am the next morning. so I change my schedule and was ready. waited and waited and nothing. I call back again and customer service says well we don't even open till 8am. still nothing. they expect that if you are disabled and in a wheelchair, you should have no life and just sit around for them and their convenience, not yours. this has been a chronic problem and seems to be getting NO better. promises made and not kept. but since I purchased my chair through them, other companies won't take on repairing the chair so Stuck with NuMotion and their not caring until I can get a new chair. read more

Absolutely horrible. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My dad has ALS and his wheelchair keeps breaking, he keeps trying to get a hold of someone from Numotion and they never call back. His wheelchair continues to stop working and has to be turned off then on again, and he is not able to do that himself. Numotion will not send anyone out to fix it and he's been getting the runaround on everything. This is not the first time it has broken, it's been numerous times and they continue to take advantage of people who are disabled. read more

I purchased a light weight wheelchair from Numotion. The total cost between insurance and copays was about $4000. After only 6 weeks the left tire came off the rim. I have to wait almost three weeks for a service call. This company has the poorest customer service I have ever seen. I definitely would not recommend them. read more

NuMotion has a blatant disregard for, not only its customers' satisfaction, but also their safety and well-being. I've never encountered a company that was so willfully apathetic and incompetent. A good friend of mine had a power chair that needed repairs, and after waiting over a month for a response from them about when he would receive the chair back, he gave them a call, only to find that they had not even read the repair request--it was still sitting amidst a pile of papers on their desk. After his call "expedited" the process, my friend received his chair back two months later (two months!!!), only to have them tell him that the chair required additional repairs. When they came out to fix the first issue, they noticed a second issue (this was after they'd had his chair in their custody for three months... why were they just discovering these problems now??). They have yet to come out to fix this second issue, which concerns the chair's navigational lever.... kind of important. Today, while using his wheelchair to get to work, my friend found that one of the tires on his chair burst. During their "repair" of his chair, NuMotion had replaced its solid, much more durable tires with air-filled ones without telling him. So now, after over three months of waiting, calling, and tolerating shoddy inspections and defensive staff, he is now stranded fifty miles from home. How is NuMotion paid for this? NuMotion handles high stakes situations--their products, in an ideal world, help people from being paralyzed at home or else being vulnerable when they do have do commute. That's a responsibility that shouldn't be treated cavalierly. And yet, as other reviewers have detailed, NuMotion goes out of its way it seems to inconvenience and endanger its clientele. read more

I am writing about my experiences with NuMotion in the Seattle area. In my very first contact with NuMotion the service tech came and placed his tools in the head of the tiller of my mobility scooter and sparks and smoke issued forth. The scooter was working before this but not consistently now it did not work at all. He replied it would take 3 months to fix. I cried. The next time I had to contact NuMotion was for a battery replacement. A different service tech came and pulled my scooter back with out unplugging it so she could find the SS#. (I had offered to give this to the office prior to the visit) She did not know where to looks for it, so I went and found the book and gave it to her. In about three weeks a different tech came with the wrong battery. Two weeks later he came back with the correct one. But he refused to clean out the space where the battery had to sit, which was filled with years of dirt, stones leaves and twigs. He said He did not clean. It was not part of his job! My mouth dropped and asked him to do it. He said OK but only this one time... I could not believe he was trying to force the battery into the place it needed to go on top of all the debris in there. It took him 10 minutes or more to pick out the stuff and would not brush off a leaf that was on the platform in front of the area... There is so much more I cannot even go on. Like when a new scooter was ordered they made changes without asking me and after 6 months the wrong scooter came which was unusable. I have never experienced a more unprofessional, inept, rude, unskilled, company in my entire life. No one listened, personal did not record information, and on and on. All in all it took me 1 year to receive a correct scooter from a different company. I never want to ever do business with NuMotion again in my entire life. read more

My wife just gave notice at NuMotion after 17 years working for them as ATP and was Ambassador for years.  Because of how this company operates she felt it time to put in 2 weeks notice.  The Management tried for 45 minuets to convince her to stay but she said no and they showed her the door.  They paid her small salary ( these employee's earn there money on commissions ) for 2 weeks so she worked at home 50-60 hours in those 2 weeks putting in her final orders to get the next person caught up and of course for payment of commission.  NuMotion said they would not pay here any commissions for the orders she put in while still employed, this is how they treat there people.  Integrity is not NuMotion strong point and upper management does not have a clue what the ATPs go through in the field.  They may advertise caring for people but I see this company another way and that there number one concern is the bottom line.  Maybe they will make good with my wife and pay her for her services or maybe won't.  We shall wait and see....more to come. read more

All medical wheelchair shops know they have you over a big big barrel. They can take their time, be rude, inconsiderate and they know you'll be back, your hands are tied. After all, they are not disabled. It took NuMotion 6 weeks to get my wheelchair parts installed. They came out and found the problem. I called an emailed them 3 or 4 times a week for a status. Come to find, After they determined what parts I needed, they forgot to order the parts for 3 weeks. The technicians are good, it's the front and back office that need help. Not all NuMotion reps. are bad but, you're only as good as your weakest leaks. They need an efficacy expert to review their personnel. I am unhappy with NuMotion, but then, they don't have disability needs like us. The saga continues... Iwould give negative stars to infinity if I could. They made an appointment with my son to do the repairs 01/25/23 between 9:45 am and 1:45 pm. No one showed up. No call. My son called and was told by someone named Alex that the parts were damaged. He had no response to why no one had called. I then called Numotion and spoke with Isabel who, at the time, seemed helpful, was going to get the parts overnighted and promised to stick with this to the end. I was supposed to hear from her 1/25 or morning of 1/26. I finally emailed her and was give a response that Cynthia (who is no help at all) would be contacting my son when the parts arrived (no indication if they were abe to overnight or not) and that they no longer offer "on site" repairs - you have to go to their facility in Santa Clara. My son lives a good 80 miles away - how is he supposed to get there? This problem has been going on for months and months and months. His legs are atrophying in his broken chair. I'm on the war path against Numotion now. Stay away from them if you possibly can - they are dispicable and have no compassion for the disabled! read more

This place is AWFUL stay away. I'm a 43 yr old man in a wheelchair. Needless to say I've bought a few wheelchairs from various places in my life. I thought I'd try Numotion because it's very close to where I currently work. I've NEVER experience such awful customer service and communication. Spend your money elsewhere. After calling a few times, leaving messages and never getting a call back I decided to just go pop in, again because it's so close. After taking to a people and letting them hand write my contact info, they still haven't gotten back to me. I wanted a new electric chair, (probably around 30k after is all said and done) and new tires for my manual chair. Not to be braggadocios but I'm not the typical wheelchair user. I'm a tech worker and make over well 100k, I was going to pay CASH! They as a company should be all over that! They save money by not having to submit anything to insurance and it's just way easier for them to complete an order. I've heard NOTHING and just left another message. If there was a way to give zero stars, I would. The only pleasure I will get is if they ever call me back and I get a chance to tell them why they lost my business and how I will tell everyone I know who is ever interested in getting a chair this story. read more

My experience with mobility equipment providers has generally been poor. NuMotion rises to the top of the trash heap when it comes to poor customer service and responsiveness. I only continue to work with them because my insurer requires it. I have been trying for weeks to get the mobility scooter that they provided two years ago repaired. They were fairly responsive about sending a technician in the first place, but when he was here, he fully disabled the scooter which was functional, though misperforming. I have repeatedly called asking them to send the technician back to make the scooter function again while we wait for the necessary part to restore it to full service. I have indicated that in lieu of that, I would accept a loaner scooter. I have explained that I am disabled and rely upon my scooter. After numerous calls, I have not received one call back. I do not have a functioning scooter, I have no idea when the malfunctioning part will be replaced, I have no loaner and I have no confidence whatsoever in NuMotion. It took them months to provide the scooter in the first place and they were equally unresponsive at that time. If your insurer requires you to use a third party company, ask them for any one but this one. read more

I've been dealing with this NuMotion location since it was ATG Rehab. I can't say anything bad about this place! My almost 6 year old daughter with cerebral palsy has had many pieces of equipment provided by them. We've had wheelchairs, bath chairs, standers, activity hi-low chairs and more all from NuMotion. Our school has ordered identical items for use at school from them as well (minus the bath chair, of course). We have had frequent maintenance and adjustments to keep up with her rapid growth, all performed by very competent professionals. There is a very good reason we keep going back. They are the best! Mark, the Assistive Technology Professional, and Jennifer, the Sales Coordinator, are both very passionate about their jobs and their clients, as are all the technicians that perform the deliveries, maintenance and repairs. Our physical therapists and occupational therapists would never even think about using other vendors. I'm glad for that and very grateful for NuMotion. read more

I have been dealing with them since it was ATG 13 years ago. I wish there was another company to deal with. They constantly mess EVERY order up. I turned in my power chair fir repairs on June 27 2021. I have gotten 2 substandard unusable loaners .y insurance is paying for, since, I found out today, July 15 2021 they gave me the date of the repair for August 9 2021...my insurance pays for loaners/rentals only 30 days. Numotion is also NOT accredited with BBB. I will not ever use them again. My insurance is even considering removing them as a sub contractor. STAY AWAY from Numotion. This is the most unprofessional and disorganized company I have ever worked with. It has taken 4 months to "get " my wheelchair which is not the wheelchair my doctor and PT ordered. It was to be delivered today at 1:30 and it is now 2 pm. I finally called the office and they transferred me to a phone which said the person was on maternity leave and the message box was full. I called back and they said they couldn't reach the tech who was supposed to be out delivering it. So here I sit. There must be a better place to deal with. The office staff is a nightmare of zero service, follow up, they're disorganized, chaotic, unresponsive, and I have no idea how whoever manages this office and service department even have jobs. I'm giving one star because it won't let me give less. This company is so poorly managed, so abysmal in its customer service, I just don't even know where to start. The reps and techs are great - the service manager and office - I just don't even have words for how awful they are. Even corporate doesn't have it together enough to get the story straight, and in response to my very angry message, were giving me terms and issues that were ages old yet still showing open on their records (items and repairs that were just as frustrating to get as my current situation). I'm a nice person. But I am no longer tolerant of this sort of ongoing, years long level of customer service so appalling, and highly suggest those with special needs look elsewhere to get the desperately needed items and any future repairs or service required for said items. Once I was able to talk to a sales lady in their Sacramento office through calling Numotion's 800 customer service phone number she was very nice and tried to be helpful. One star for her. I've been working with this company since it was Rehab Specialists, then ATG & now NuMotion. I got my first chair when it was Rehab Specialists. It took 7 months. It's hard to know who was really at fault for the delays. My insurance, my medical facility, and Rehab Specialists were all pointing fingers at each other, playing the blame game. My current chair took 6 months. Getting a chair takes a long time, no doubt. The patient has to be persistent and keep calling. The more noise you make, the more you'll be heard. That's just the game you have to play. I have no complaints about their repair service. Anytime I have needed service, repairs have been completed quickly. Today I went in at 4:00 pm, was seen and had repairs completed in less than 1/2 hr. read more

My family member who had a stroke waited 2 months to get his motorized bed repaired. It needed a new remote. The company did not have a hand crank to operate the bed either. The bed was stuck in a 45 degree angle. So he could not be turned because the head of the bed was elevated from being on his back all of the time. He got pressure ulcers. He died the night they finally got a new remote to him. This is absolutely unacceptable service. I called many times and the staff were friendly. But 2 months is too long! If I had a choice I would not use this company. read more

It is now November (over a year since we started having problems) and this issue is STILL not resolved. My son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is still using the loaner scooter that is completely ill-fitting. Please do not subject yourself to this place. If you buy a piece of equipment and there are no problems, you will be fine, but if there are repair issues, it will be a complete nightmare. This is so sad and discouraging! read more

Completely unacceptable! I'm a quadriplegic that has been waiting for my power wheelchair to be fixed for over a year. I've been fortunate enough to have a backup wheelchair that I paid for out of pocket; otherwise I would have completely lost my mobility & independence for the past year. It's an insurance issue with getting the replacement part approved, but seriously come on its been over a year. We ordered a elec. wheelchair repair on Jan.2 2019 its now April 18 They have been out 5 times and the chair is still not fixed, The office staff dose not pass along the problem to the field staff the repair staff have been good but never have the parts they need also ordered a new seat cushion 3 mounts ago that we have yet to receive . I am a disabled person that suffers from several medical issues that cause me to be mobility impaired. Being that I have state medical Insurance, I'm forced to use NuMotions for my mobility needs. I have been a customer of NuMotions for approximately 9yrs and have had multiple negative encounters with the NuMotion company and staff. They've never deliver the product as ordered or promised, their merchandise is always cheaply manufactured and grossly overpriced ripping off insurance companies and under serving ADA clients. My personal experiences are as follows; NuMotion has recently delivered a wheelchair to me after waiting 1yr for delivery. I was hospitalized during the waiting process for 1 year and 1 month waiting for the delivery of my wheelchair only to once again be delivered a totally UNUSABLE and poorly manufactured wheelchair, I've attempted to contact the company over a dozen times with no response or callback from ANYONE! Also the wheelchair is a health hazard for it has jagged rough edges that cut into my legs and buttocks which has the potential to cause a major medical issue being that I'm mobility impaired. I'm at my wits end feeling as if I have absolutely any legal recourse or resolution because once your wheelchair is delivered it's as if NuMotion falls off the face of the planet because it becomes impossible to reach a live person after leaving nearly 30 voicemails. I would NEVER recommend NuMotions company to ANYONE for your medical needs or Power Wheelchair because the product you receive will not be what you've ordered or expected and if you have repair issues it will take an act of Congress to get them to honor the product warranty, they need to be investigated by the state of California and the ADA for their improper business practices. read more

Not surprised that they get such awful reviews. Totally incompetent service. Equipment breaks or needs adjustment over time but they are totally unresponsive. Been working with them (begrudgingly) for a few years but there has to be a better option. They are slower than slow, felt like a number in a very long line. Horrible customer service. Last time I bought a chair and cushion, I never received a call that my new equipment was in on two separate occassions. My chair and cushion sat on the shelf for weeks, until I called them. I have been in the market for a new chair so I contacted them again and nobody has replied or called me back from my very recent request for assistance. This company only cares about getting your money and then they forget about you. I HIGHLY suggest to use different provider. I regret giving them my business and so will you!!! Pretty sad how this company takes advantage of people. Also keep in mind that I'm an elementary teacher and life coach. My opinion matters. Also paralyzed for 22+ years. read more
