The person on the phone told me she did the designs but would be out of the shop. She asked me to show the other tech my style when I arrived to see if she could do it. When I arrived, everyone was friendly and the shop was clean. Each tech's credentials were listed and their health score was 100. There was one other customer and I was seated immediately. There was no water in the bowl and I really didn't have a chance to soak my feet which was strange since no one was waiting to be seen but that was fine. Gel has a $10 up charge but it was noted on the menu which I appreciate. I showed the other tech my photo and she confirmed that she would be unable to do that design. I guess I didn't make it clear that I still wanted my hands done so I told her that as my pedicure was ending. I move to the table and she cuts all of my nails off. Then, the other customer and I are told to switch places. The gentleman begins working on my nails. He adds the tips, rounds them per the new photo and then begins to add the dip powder. He finishes four of my five nails and then points to his hand and apologizes. One nail was a bit mishapen so I thought he was maybe apologizing for that. He continues to apologize and starts taking the powder off. I asked, "Do you not like any?" and he responds, "No." I assured him that it was okay and everyone has days. I wasn't upset or anything but I also was thinking maybe he's starting over. Then, not only does he take off the powder, he takes off the tips. All the while, the other tech has finished the other customer but isn't jumping in to assist-just checks me out. And yes, I still tipped. So, now I'm left with no nails and no explanation. Oh, and when I got home and looked at my pedicure it was spotty, the gel isn't even across my toes-no pic because I don't like my feet. It was strange and really just disappointing. We booked ahead of time in hopes of doing that but were not given the option when we got there. They had Fox News going instead of spa music. It was not relaxing. Who wants to listen to the awful news while you're trying to relax for a change? Also, I had a gift card I turned in to pay for the service. We paid then got in the car and tried to decide where to go have dinner. The lady runs outside and says my gift certificate was no good. She said it was too old. There was no expiration date on the card. She explained they had new owners and that there was a sign. I had to go back in and pay the full amount. She then pointed to a sign that was on the back side of a column that I never once saw while I was in there. The experience was stressful and my friend and I won't be going back. I stopped him as he started to put the top coat on and asked about it. He said it was too late for the design I wanted and he said I could pick a "sticker" to go on top. Fine, whatever! Two nail techs at this place that did that. They took advantage of me being new to the nail world. Another thing I just found out is not the proper procedure, when they took off my set they took an acrylic tip and wedged it in between to pop the set off. Proper procedure is to soak them off. They did not do this gently either.

My french tip for toes and nails has seemingly gone from $20 to $56 for polish alone. A french tip design shouldnt be $18 by itself. They also lie alot about the services they provide on the receipt break down. All this to say, i'm tired of having chipped nails after 1-2 days after the service. This nail chipped from opening an envelope. The nails are not well prepped and the techs dont let your gel cure since they are in such a rush to get you out of the chair. I havegone to this salon atleast 5 times and have had the same issue everytime. I won't be returning.

I requested Jack because I admired his work and wanted a simple, clean, masculine set. He refused solely because I'm a male. This was my first time experiencing discrimination, and it genuinely affected me. I didn't ask for anything inappropriate or unreasonable--just to book with an artist whose work I respected. This will be my last time supporting this establishment. If equality and integrity matter to you, I do not recommend booking with Jack. To Jack, if you're reading this: I want to be sincere and fair. I understand that you may have felt uncomfortable, and that is okay. I would never want anyone to feel pressured or forced to do something they aren't comfortable with. My intention was never to put you in that position. I genuinely admired your talent and your work, and that's why I requested you.
