I walked in, didn't look around because I needed a quick look, so I walked up to the staff member (Sarah) who directed me to the chocolate and mint flavored Aero bars! Talk about buried treasure! I stopped by this See's location on 12/01/2025 to see if I could still redeem it. Upon entering, I was greeted by a young female employee. A quick glance revealed a clean interior well stocked with chocolate treats. I asked her about the certificate, and she confirmed it was still valid even though See's stopped selling them years ago. Per my request, she put together a one‑pound box of assorted nut clusters. She was friendly and very helpful throughout. I had a few pieces after I got home, and they were just as good as I remembered. All in all, this was a nice surprise all around -- easy service, great chocolates, and a fun find from the past.

The owner and Freeze-Dryer-in-Chief was manning his booth and offering very generous samples of everything. Though he freeze-dries many things (e.g. pickles, marshmallows, ice-cream sandwiches) it was the Chamoy-infused, freeze-dried Skittles that won my heart. I left with a bag of the Watermelon Chamoy Rainbow Puffs and the Mango Chamoy Rainbow Puffs ($9.99/6-oz. bag). The Mango Chamoy version was ransacked (by me) as I sat in traffic days later. The Watermelon Chamoy bag was devoured by the person at home waiting for me. These are the treat you didn't know you've been missing. I didn't wait for an East Bay event where I might again encounter Freezin' Awesome. I went on their web site and ordered enough product to get free delivery and, wonder of wonders, my 10 bags of freeze-dried Skittles arrived at my home the very next day. This could be habit forming.
