This place is heaven. Mostly the service is great, sometimes someone is having a bad day. Don't forget to ask for a sample if they forget to offer one. This location is cute and has all the nice goodies that See's Candies always has. All the different truffle types, the boxed prepackaged candies, the peanut brittle etc. There is also the limited time truffles too which are good too like pumpkin, birthday cake, egg nog and so many more. Can never say no to See's when there is chocolate from them nearby. While this location is convenient and easy to go to, it still has it's problems. It can be a pain as the lines can be unorganized and the staff maybe a bit confused too when that happens. This can lead to frustration when trying to check out or finish up shopping here. read more

I just got totally ripped off for the last time. I had not been in a See's for a few years and was hesitant, but figured it wouldn't have been too much more expensive than before since it was already out of control. First of all, the layout of the store did not make you feel like picking out what they had to offer. Normally you walk in and the displays made you feel like picking up one of everything. The clerks in the store didn't act like they were happy to assist. I asked if they still had the option of picking out certain items and I was told it was more than the price per pound to pack a box. I noticed the candies were a lot smaller on some of the pieces. I bought 2 -1lb. boxes already prepackaged and I had 1/2 pound packed and my total came out to over $91!! The price of the prepackaged is already a ridiculous price and the 1/2 pound cost almost the same as a whole pound prepackaged box! Not everyone likes their prepackaged assortment and they like to choose specific kinds they enjoy. To add another couple dollars to choose what someone wants is ridiculous! Plus the people who they hire need to be trained to be more friendly, rather than act like robots. I will NEVER step foot in another See's again! read more

The welcome I received from Bernadette along with the samples and patience trying to help me with a custom box of chocolates made the experience. Well, I made the mistake of going back to this San Ramon Sees Candies with my daughter today. While we were greeted when we when in, we still received the same bad treatment when I asked them a question regarding bagger California peanut crunch - the staff answered in a very rude and disrespectful way. But wait, when she was servicing the white customer behind us, it was all smiles, spoke to them with respect a professional attitude. I guess I should've know better as we experienced the same bad service 9 months ago at this store. Hence, unless you are white, don't come to this store. Go the the one in Livermore outlet as they have always been very polite and I never felt the kind of racist servicing I noticed at the San Ramon store. read more

Decent location, but definitely a lower volume See's candy store compared to other locations such as Walnut creek and Stoneridge Mall location. Smaller stock and not the Friendliest customer service you would expect from See's. There was no one in the store, and all the employees were heard chatting in the back, even when there is a Door chime letting employees know a guest is in the store. A employee who was leaving, had to go back inside to let the others know that a guest is waiting, and still took a few minutes to get service. The employee seemed annoyed that I was interrupted her chat session and gave a rushed and passive aggressive shopping experience. Id pass on this location and tell others to do so as well. read more

Hi. I'm Randy, and I'm an addict. Admittedly, I've only written a couple of See's Candies reviews because I've been embarrassed. I love how when I walk into a shop, I'm offered 1 or 2 pieces of free chocolate before buying (3, if you play very confused to select). Then, when I buy and get to my car, I eat another 2-3 pieces. This, my friends, is a quality product, and it has been for years. I've gone from loving the chocolate with nuts, then the chews, now -- the Bordeaux and California Brittle are my two specific favorites (just in case you are looking to gift me). A big shout out to the Manager and staff at the San Ramon location for great customer service and tasty products. Due to Covid-19 the buying experience is much different and sometimes challenging. Here is my story that makes the San Ramon See's location 5 stars. I swung by yesterday and the store was busy. I wasn't sure of the name of the candy I wanted but I was to describe what I wanted. Since the store was full and I couldn't go to the case and find the name or point out the product. I described it as a marshmallow candy with butterscotch or caramel on the outside wrapped in paper. An employee was nice enough to take my order so I wouldn't have to wait for the line in front of the display case to clear. Unfortunately, my wife opened up the box this morning and I believe we got marshmallow covered with caramel and chocolate. Most likely with masks on it might have been hard to hear everything I said. I spoke with an understanding employee who communicated the issue to the Manager. The Manager said that See's wanted to make sure I got what I wanted and prepared a bag of Scotch Kisses for me. Long story short, great experience, all of the staff were just absolutely really nice people, what a joyful group. Will that be my "Go to See's store". Yes, definitely and I encourage everyone else to go there too. read more

Sunday she turned me on to this Victoria toffee which is no longer available but will be coming back Nov-Dec, is it too soon to say I'm waiting (sad) I know but pray for me. Not really sure a review is necessary. Come on, it's Sees Candies! Everyone knows See's. And, in the unfortunate circumstance that you don't, you really need to change that. Simply put, they make really good chocolate. They have been around for ages and there is a consistency in the deliciousness of their chocolates that keeps me going back. Where to start? They have a lot of different types of chocolates, milk chocolate or dark chocolate (dark chocolate for me), nuts or no nuts, and so much more. Even more so because it was just us and another group in there, I can see how it could get busy though with only two working there at a time. My Valentine Day savior! Thank goodness they were open early for v-day! I got to run in at 9:00 am (normally 10:00 or 11:00 depending on location) and grab sweet treats for my little loves. Tip, don't expect to get in and out if you're wanting custom boxes of chocolate, the line was out the door at 9:02 once they opened. I grabbed the premade boxes and waited a couple mins and was out. Except for folks like us, who always seem to get the exact same thing at See's - a can of toffee-ettes that could last weeks to months! These are very similar to almond rocas, but perhaps with a bit more crunch on the outside and softer toffee filling insides. We've always had decent, friendly service here at See's, and yes they do offer a free sample after you make a purchase. Solid 3 stars. What's maybe missing for me is I'm not finding a whole lot of other chocolate types to wow us or make us switch from our favorite toffee-ettes. Many of the other nut-filled, fruit-filled, or truffle-filled chocolates are just too sweet from the free samples. read more

Wow! The employees here during this pandemic really shouldn't be working with people. I got shorted one item and I realized this after I was already home. I called and let them know I was shorted an item. I get the the store and the front says "please wait for an associate." I wait and no one comes. I ask if it's okay if I come into the store and this guy acts like I'm an idiot and says "yes." So I go inside and the gentleman walks over to help. I have long had a love affair with See's Candy. My mom once threatened to disown me when I was 16 over a box of See's (long story, but it had to do with me being stoned or something and biting the corner of all the pieces in a 1lb. box to find the kind I liked). Anyway.... I came here the day before Halloween with the hopes of getting this cute little box with just enough candy to give to my love. (You see, I have been trying not to eat too much junk food and even bought the kind of candy neither of us would eat to hand out for Halloween). Unfortunately, they were sold out-along with most Halloween offerings. Sigh. So, the nice lady behind the counter offered me a piece of candy. A kind I don't like so I refused.
