This is, by far, the absolute worst auto shop I have ever dealt with. If I could give this company negative 5 stars, I would. In retrospect, it's my fault for ignoring the customer I heard complaining to the management about his experience when I was dropping my car off. Without getting into details, these guys are scam artists, like what you expect at a stereotypical used car dealer. Their communication is terrible, and, in short, no one takes accountability for their mistakes. In short, I was promised a day and a half fix, and they bricked my car. Then they sat on it for days, only to tell me that a dealer needed to fix it. The dealer then did a proper job, and told me that they had Mickey Moused some wire they were supposed to fix, and that their assessment was incorrect. I will be using my dealer from now on, for the same price (if not less), and with the reliability I expect from professionals. In other words, the complete opposite of what this shop delivers. read more

You pay close to $300 for a warranty, but if you need to use it, you're charged a $200 diagnostic fee to determine whether the issue is actually covered. The fee is waived if the repair qualifies under the warranty, but if it doesn't, you're responsible for the cost. This policy can discourage people from bringing their vehicles in, especially since most customers don't know the cause of a mechanical issue before it's diagnosed. If a problem appears within the months following the service, I think the vehicle should be inspected without requiring a $200 fee upfront just to find out whether the warranty applies. It doesn't feel like a very customer-friendly process, especially considering that you are paying a premium coming to this company in the first place. read more

Had a great experience today. I message this company online to get a price quote for an oil change. I brought my own filter and oil for my GLC 300. They were very fair and honored the price when I arrived. Even though they were short staffed they accommodated me on short notice. Extremely kind and the waiting area had plenty of food and drinks. I went to Placentia Super Service for a second opinion and the price of item was inflated from $156 to $2003 and they were trying to keep my car by calling me on the phone trying to shake me down for more money. The owner did call me but I refused to take my car back there after being swindled by them. I didn't believe my car needed all that work but it was a classic bait and switch. I got new tires from Costco and was referred here for an alignment. After the service, my steering wheel was off and pulling to the right, so I had to call and come back to get it fixed. I wasn't happy about needing a second visit for something that should've been done correctly the first time, but they did fix the issue when I returned. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with snacks and drinks available. There's also a window to watch the technicians working. Overall, the service was good. In terms of price range it was about $180 for the alignment. I appreciate Ricky and Korean guy forgot his name but appreciate both of their help! read more

I took my 2019 Mercedes GLC 350 here for service. First of all, they don't have their own loaners on site, they just use a rental company and say they have loaners. Second, they take way too long to service simple jobs, took like 2.5 weeks for my repair for spark plugs, coils, and replacement of 2 shocks. Third, asking for updates is like pulling teeth. I had Joe. I can still remember his name because he threatened that he would stop the repair and I can take my car back without it being repaired just because I was giving him pressure. Fourth, I am sitting at another repair shop now ONLY AFTER A YEAR and some later and I am being told that the spark plug that was replaced was over tightened and that the coil is in pretty bad shape (picture). Don't let their high number of reviews trick you like they did me. They are busy and might have been awesome in the heyday, but I wouldn't rate them that high. Due to having so many clients now, their quality must have gone down. Nice lobby though. read more

They will attempt to rip you off‼ The latch on my car trunk broke, I found the part on eBay, brand new for $53, but I was being impatient and didn't want to wait 2 days for it to get shipped, so I took it to a couple shops to see if they could get the part the same day. This shop quoted me $580, which is so inflated compared to what the first shop quoted me. Mind you, I found the latch myself in Anaheim for $25, yes the part was used, but I managed to fix my car trunk myself in 20 minutes with a simple YouTube video and I know nothing about cars. Been coming here for years. We recently found out that our used cars extended warranty service was honored here at this location. That's fantastic as opposed to taking it to a dealer which is 20 to 30 minutes away. They do a full diagnostic with photos. So they take pictures of things that they recommend and give you a scale for immediate need something to keep an eye on and otherwise OK. Shop is pretty upfront with all of the costs. Last time we had to take it in for a trunk latch that wasn't functioning correctly and setting off an alarm. It took him a minute to figure it out, but to make things right they ended up doing the service entirely free and just taking care of the customer. They've done that before where they've covered a rental car for a few days if needed. They work with you. When highly recommended, I appreciate the care they take into servicing the car and being upfront with the work. read more

They also patched one of my tires at no charge while doing the oil change -- that kind of customer care really stands out. It's not often you find a shop willing to go the extra mile like that. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, stocked with bars, popcorn, coffee, sodas, and water. Even the bathroom was very clean, which says a lot about how they run their business. High $$$$. I had brought my vehicle in before a long trip for some safety concerns and transmission issues I was having with my vehicle running rough and stalling in traffic. I also requested the brake pads be replaced as required. They did not service my brakes as requested, they stated, "Your brakes are fine". *They were not. I noticed they also did not rotate the tires as requested. Shortly after receiving my vehicle back and a 300 miles away and in the rain, my vehicle failed with the very problem I took it into Placentia Super Service for. This is the second time this type of problem has happened where the my vehicle ended up operating worst than it did before they touched it!! I ended up having my vehicle towed to another shop, a dealership. All the work took a few weeks to diagnose, repair, replace, correct and pay for the work preformed. The dealership also pointed out that the brake pads should have been replaced at Placentia Super Service, since one was at 2mm! Like a previous visits to Placentia Super Service, they have not been accountable when I reached out to them. I have not heard back from P.S.S. since my last communication over a week ago. *I recommend everyone read all the 1 and 2 star reviews they received on Yelp. Interestingly, many of their 5 star reviews are by misc people that only posted couple of reviews or less. I suppose if you are only seeking staff that smiles and talks you into excessive work with a waiting room with snacks, this could be a place for you.
