I was very close to canceling and gave them a clear ultimatum that if they did not make the next day's appointment, I would walk away. To their credit, they showed up the very next day and they were on time. Two technicians arrived and immediately got to work. One was on the roof while the other worked in the basement, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. They also explained that this is a family owned business, with multiple family members working together on the same jobs, which really showed in how coordinated and invested they were in the work. The scope of work involved installing a stainless steel chimney liner designed to properly vent double gas appliances, upgrading existing connections for safety and code compliance, installing two double tee connections, and finishing everything with a stainless steel top plate and rain cap. They also handled flashing and waterproofing by installing aluminum flashing with ice shield underlayment, carefully removing shingles as needed, and waterproofing the exterior of the chimney to prevent future moisture issues. What stood out most was their professionalism and communication. They explained each step clearly, answered questions without rushing, and made sure I understood why certain upgrades were necessary. The workmanship looks excellent and very clean, especially considering the complexity of the job. Despite the rocky start, they ultimately delivered quality work and followed through when it mattered. The finished product looks great and gives me confidence that the system is safe and properly done.

I decided to get a quote because my chimney was missing a lot of mortar between the bricks. The owner Ricardo Castillo came to inspect it. He's very professional from arriving on time to giving the quote. I'm very happy with their work ethics from protecting my property as well as my neighbors ( putting up tarps to make a tent over the chimney) the work is complete and I'm very happy from the start to finish of the job. The price was very reasonable as well. I highly recommend Chimney Solutions !!

Charged very reasonable fee and told us to be careful about the scammers. Great experience for us! Let me share my tenants' report about the scammers. "At the request of the owner of the home we lease, I reached out to A1 Chimney to inspect and clean two fireplaces In our rental and one fireplace in the owners home in anticipation of the season. A1 had solid reviews from the BBB site and so I scheduled them to come for Friday the 14th. Sean arrived and suggested he would take interior pictures of the respective flus to inspect their fitness for fires. It took him less than 10 minutes to assess that neither flu was up to code and that without extensive work (some $5400) by their company, the chimneys could not be cleaned or used. Additionally, he suggested that the flu connected to the furnace was leaking carbon monoxide into the home at very small levels (he described it like a straw with holes in it) whenever we ran the furnace. He insisted for our safety we should turn the heat off (in November) and leave the home until the flu could be addressed with a new stainless steel liner at a cost of $4200. At one point his exact words were "You could die if you stay here and use that furnace." He provided three reports all of which suggested the flues were not at code and that until the owner scheduled the work, he could do nothing further. Two hours later, he called my phone to tell me that he had not meant to suggest we needed to leave the home and that we were not in immediate danger. However, by that time, we had alerted the landlord to the issue causing all kinds of commotion on a late Friday evening. We called an HVAC company recommended by Angies list who came over immediately to review his findings. Their assessment was that there was no need for the scare tactic and that we were not in imminent danger. He suggested we call our oil company to inspect the furnace to confirm his findings. There are five adults living in the house we are leasing and the stress and worry brought on by Seans analysis caused unnecessary f fear and panic. His suggestion, that we could die if we stayed in the home was a flat out lie as was confirmed as such by the additional HVAC company that came out that night and again by another chimeny inspection company that landlord hired to review A1's finding!"
