First and last time at Sprouts La Quinta…read more We stopped in around 8:20 PM last night 08/16/2026 because we wanted to try the Family Meals we've been seeing advertised. We went to the deli and stood there for about five minutes before realizing we needed to press the service button. An employee came out, so I asked, "Hi, is the deli still open?" He responded with an attitude, "Yes, but I work the meat department," and walked away. I understand he may not have been the person who could help me, but a simple "Let me get someone from the deli" would have been enough. Instead, the interaction left me feeling unwelcome and embarrassed. I spoke with the manager, Steve, who apologized and offered to help, but by then we decided to leave. I really want to believe this was a race thing and I want to believe it was just a bad day for the wannabe butcher or he seriously hates his job, but regardless... that was not ok. What really stood out was what happened next. We went to Ralphs on Jefferson, where the customer service was ON POINT. One of the employees even took the time to interact with my daughter who is autistic, gave her a Pokémon card, and she gave him a high five. That small interaction meant more than he probably realized. We weren't asking for special treatment. Just basic kindness and respect. Learn something, Sprouts.

While standing in line, I realize there's no menu on the wall like they used to be. So I walked towards the front of the line to read the menu and everybody there. I thought I was trying to cut them which almost started an argument with the other people in line. I wasn't trying to cut. I was trying to read the damn menu. This is the stupidest setup that I've ever seen for an order menu. When that person was done, I picked up the menu so I could view it closer as I do not have my singing glasses with me and the menu was tiny little print out of a regular printer. So then the next guy started freaking out like I was trying to cut in line. The people here on this valley (many foreigners) are too stupid for you to have your menus like this. You need to put them back up on the wall. Or else have several of them so that people standing in line can see what they want to order before they get up to the order window. Why would you take down your menu off the wall and replace it with a tacky piece of paper with a three dollar menu stand? I don't know it just seems like it's an awful confusing mess right now. All these people in the photo are trying to take turns looking at that menu. Everybody's cutting in front of each other to try to see it. I can't believe your employees haven't said something. You seriously need to fix this.

Javier Ledezma was so very thoughtful, kind, caring, super sweet, very down to earth, very genuine! Javier L has this very positive upbeat energy about himself that really radiates! He is Rarest of All Diamonds! His shine can never fade! Please treasure him greatly!! Their price points are spot on & for quality & quantity it's well worth it! When I was young, one of my favorite sweets to eat was my grandmas blueberry muffins. I'd spend weekends with her and grandpa and be awakened nearly every morning to the most intoxicating aroma wafting up the stairs from the kitchen and tickling my little nose. I'd began thinking alot about grandma lately after learning July 11th was National Blueberry Muffin Day (ever notice there seems to be a National Day of something just about everyday) and so I decided to take to the internet and find a healthy bran muffin recipe where I could get my sinful, yet healthy muffin fix. That's when I stumbled upon the benefits of something called Branaflax muffin mix, which appeared to be the Holy Grail of muffin mix for health enthusiast's and stay-at-home moms who as we all know take their nutrition serious. The Branaflax muffin mix recipe was developed by its current CEO, Adrienne Dubarry, who I assumed from her website picture, was a former fashion model turned domestic goddess, like Martha Stewart whose only purpose in life then was to stare back from the pages of Vogue or Harpers and make already insecure women even more so, but who now lives to make them feel like throwing themselves off a bridge because they don't churn their own butter, or has them all convinced they're going to hell for not carving museum worthy Jack-a-lanterns at Halloween. Although Adrienne did seem to posess a more wholesome, non threatening, Donna Reed kind of look, one in which if I were a woman I could maybe be friends with her, and whats more, she didn't look like she'd beat me into unconsciousness (like Martha would) for screwing up one her recipes or worse, kill me for making a mess in her kitchen, no Adrienne was more suited to grace the covers of Good Housekeeping or Womans Day. I decided to give Branaflax a try and ordered some online, the recipes looked rediculously easy and as it said on the website just by adding a few simple ingredients, I could customize my muffins for any taste I wanted, one mix - many possibilities. Now I've never been one of those guys, you know the type who have way too much time on their hands and they'll sit down and write a letter to some conglomerate whose product they tried once and had to tell them about it. But damn if that isn't just what I went and did, prompting Adrienne to call and invite me to come out and bake with her at her test kitchen in La Quinta, California. To say I was flabbergasted would be an understatement, but after talking with her for some time she was serious and since I had an upcoming trip to the desert anyway, I decided to take her up on the offer, find out the secret to her success, what it takes to become a muffin mogul and if she truly is as home-spun as she appears to be in that apron she's wearing on her website.
