This is the best supplement store in Santa Barbara hands down. I've been everywhere over the past 18 years of working out, but fortunately I discovered this unique store one day since it is close to the gym I used to go to. When I entered I was educated by Ben who has the best customer service and knowledge of product I've ever experienced. He introduced me to products that you will not be able to find anywhere else in town. Best part is that these products actually work, I've seen dramatic increases in lean muscle and recovery. Right now I'm the strongest/best condition I've ever been in my long fitness journey. I recommend you tell Ben what your fitness goals are, he will help you get there quickly and effectively by aligning you with the appropriate supplements. They often provide free swag/merchandise and also have incredible discounts. I needed to pick up Lenny & Larry's cookies today, just expecting to be in and out of the store. I walk in and was greeted by the two guys behind the counter. They were super friendly and quickly pointed me in the right direction of where the cookies were. They had some I hadn't tried and he told me which ones were worth trying out. Since we was being so nice, I figured I might as well ask him another question I had on nutrition and he was absolutely helpful. The whole store is so well organized and easy to shop around and their customer service was above and beyond! And their staff is soo knowledgeable! This place has high quality nutritional supplement one might need for loosing weight to bulking up and everything in between. The boys that work there are very friendly and know their stuff. The 3 times I've been there now, they all have cited ingredients and benefits of every product I approached them about. They'll give you samples of things, water bottles and shakers, and tee-shirts too. They've set me up w/ the right supplements for my body concerns. I came in and the place was clean! I was immediately greeted by a staff member named Ben Lopez. Very nice and really knowledgeable about every item in the store. As soon as I had mentioned the few things I had wanted, he already knew and started to get it together and gave me a run down on what each was, what and HOW I would be taking it as well as teaching it back to him so he knew I understood how much and what I was taking. I felt like I was in a great fitness class for the 30 min I was there. I wasn't rushed even when there was plenty of customers coming in. The whole experience made me want to go to the gym ASAP. However I found myself at Costco after getting my clean diet meals and ready to boot this off for my next journey into health. I was super pumped than, but even more so with the help of every item purchased as well as knowing there's a great store to get products from! Came in looking for a protein, not knowing what to expect, Ben and Zach greeted me with such friendly manners. Ben described to me the types of proteins they are and what works best for my type of body and will show the best results. Not only a great protein but also the cleanest one too, and Zach reiterated the benifits of switching over to this new protein they don't upsell the product the educate you on it something Costco and the vitamin store don't do. I went in on a Saturday looking for a yummy flavored protein powder to increase my protein intake. I "researched" online and was happy to find exactly what I was looking for in the flavor I wanted. The store is very clean and organized. It has an open layout with well known products and supplements. There is a huge selection of bars and cookies as well. There were quite a few people there - ended up being a weigh in for a cool fat loss/muscle gain contest the store was having. I lingered and was overhearing their success stories and looking at all the other protein powders the store carried. Despite having 5+ people in the store, Ben Lopez still made sure to greet me and offer assistance. I was really concerned with the flavor and texture of the protein powder and Ben let me know that the flavor would be tasty...because of the added sugar and ingredients. Since I shared with him that my protein intake was super low he quickly recommended their highest gram product, Prozein Synthesis. He expressed his favorite was the chocolate which I am usually not a fan of. I prefer Vanilla, always have, but struggle with the chalky taste. Then without missing a beat he asked if I'd like to try it and whipped up a shake, on the spot! I could not believe how smooth it was. Nothing like I had anticipated and feared! I was won over. He then went into all the other benefit and ingredients. Recommendations for how to best intake it AND stressed the importance of using it as a supplement and not a meal replacement. The top leader in the contest they are running was there too and he also offered up his favorite flavor and the ways he enjoys taking it. It was one of those experiences you rarely have in retail anymore. Where someone is truly passionate about what they represent and want to help you reach your goals and not just take your money and sell you anything. So refreshing! Plus the sense of community and shared interest in health and wellness was palpable. I definitely recommend Nutrishop and Ben if you are just starting on your fitness journey or if you are looking to increase those gains because he knows what he's talking about and they have what you need there! read more

I'm a new customer to the Nutrishop, I have always heard great things about this location but have never gone in because I always compared it to every other shop I would go to like GNC and didn't feel comfortable going in because the sales people always made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about or even just the uncomfortable feeling right as I would walk in always kept me away. Recently I had decided it was time to take control and change my lifestyle. So I told my husband and mom I wanted them to come with me to check out Nutrishop. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and we were greeted and helped by Ben Lopez. He gave us such great service and really helped us understand the product and benefits it had and what would work best for us based on our goals vs just trying to sell us product and get us out the door like most stores do with no interest.
