Nuzzi Bros Auto Collision = solid, proactive, went above and beyond, took care of my vehicle when I was 11000 miles away, arranged and had it picked up early in the morning, kept me informed regularly, did extra work and fixed/ replaced the trunk assembly latch apparatus and did not charge me, dealt with GEICO from day 1 to completion, did an unbelievable job fixing the damage to my rear bumper and the trunk with a visible post impact gap. Nuzzi has been in business for as long as I can remember living here for the past 30 years in New Hyde Park. We have used them in the past several times and they have always been honest and efficient with estimates and communicating with the insurance company and us. I know Tony for a very long time, he is very concern for his customers and his quality of workmanship. Recently my daughter's car was in for repair with extensive damage and even though it was difficult getting parts due to covid which everyone was experiencing Tony and Mike always tried different vendors to acquire the parts needed to get the car back to her ASAP because she was paying for a rental. It did take over a month, but we were kept up to date with the progress and received the car when promised in excellent condition. Had work done on my jetta. Front bumper plus came out absolutely flawless, but that should be expected from any good repair shop. What wasn't expected is this- I called the shop a couple of weeks after the work was done and explained to them that I couldn't find my tow hook. I also told them that I might have misplaced it and if they could just look around the shop to see if it was there. When he couldn't find it he immediately ordered me a new one free of charge. I don't think anyone should support this body shop until they publicly address their complete disregard for public safety and what steps they will take to correct the issue. On 7/6/17 at approximately 4:40pm a Nuzzi tow truck was speeding down the center turn lanes passed traffic. Then a car turning left entered the turn lane, instead of slowing down, Nuzzi's tow truck then swerved around into oncoming traffic and continued speeding down the turn lane despite nearly causing a multi-car collision. At another intersection, the same Nuzzi tow truck pulled up to cars stopped at a red light and crossed over the double yellow line, went into the oncoming lane of traffic around the stopped cars and ran a red light. This type of driving is unacceptable. You're supposed to fix cars from others collisions, not almost cause your own collisions. read more

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. It is the place to go for auto body work in the New Hyde Park area. Geico will try to steer you to a body shop nearby where they have an office but you should come here. Tony who I believe is the owner is a pleasure to deal with.
