I did a search and found a Touch of Class Collision. I called, and the staff was friendly attentive and caring. The young man who drove me to the rental place was so friendly and professional as well. Yesterday, 4 February, I finally picked up my car. It took a while but that was because the other insurance company took their time to get adjusters etc. When I got there, Gabe came out to greet me, they pulled my Alpine white, 300C up and I was floored. It looked like a brand new car, like it had come out of the showroom. Gabe explained the work they did and that the impact was much more that it showed superficially. The inside was spotless, the trunk, glove compartment everything was just spotless and so clean. This morning my dad went to charge the battery and he said even the engine is spotless and so clean. As other Tesla owners are likely to relate, setting out to fix body damage on your Tesla vehicle can initially appear exasperating given such few "Tesla approved" autobody repair shops overall. In my case, I selected Don Joe's after evaluation of various online reviews and due in part to its "preferred" status by Geico Insurance (the other party's insurance company) as a Tesla approved autobody shop. My primary interaction and communication regarding the repair of my vehicle from the beginning to the end of the entire process was with Victor, a gentleman whose experience and knowledge of Tesla vehicles becomes almost immediately apparent. During the initial walkaround of my model Y to inspect the superficial damage, he assured me that he would thoroughly inspect the underlying body and mechanical components. Based on our conversation, I can tell you that Victor has a passion for Tesla vehicles and appreciates the technological nuances of the vehicle. Throughout our dealings, he was straightforward, respectful, courteous, and kept me apprised of every important step in the process. He worked directly with the Geico insurance adjuster to arrive at an estimate and proceed with the repair of my Model Y. In my situation, the repair took approximately one week given the need to order parts directly from Tesla; however, my Model Y was better than brand-new at the end of the process. Graciously, Victor and his crew even installed my Tesla Roof Rack cross bars which were sitting in the back-cargo area of my model Y after recently arriving in the mail! In conclusion, I would highly recommend Don Joe's auto body shop for the repair of your Tesla vehicle.

I've been a satisfied customer of 5 Star Collision/The Collision Star and/or Merrick Road Collision since approximately 2009. I've brought each of my MASSAPEQUA LEXUS 2010 LS 460; my 2015 BMW X5; my 2016 BMW 750 iL XDrive and now my 2020 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER XLE at least once, if not more times to these great bodyshops. (Please note, all of my cars were hit/dinged by other folks!). There's a reason so many dealerships send their scratched/dinged cars here....THEIR WORK IS AWESOME AND TOTALLY METICULOUS!!! I totally trust Roy and his crew 1,000%. They told me I should bring my car to the dealership service because it was covered by a warranty. They also called the service office and told them to expect my car to drop off for the repair they had already diagnosed. They spoke to the foreman at the dealership. All of this service was gratis. More importantly, they go to Mercedes school to keep up with what they need to know.
