The Pacific Northwest is Best tour was pretty fantastic! Ben was our tour guide and he was great and funny. He was very knowledgeable about the beers we were drinking along with the area of the city we were traveling through. We learned about why Portland is one of the best brew spots in the country and learned some of the intricacies it takes to brew some delicious beer. The bus ride was fun and safe. We tried a good variation of beers and saw parts of the city we couldn't get to by foot. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the city of Portland and who has interest in the beer scene that is happening there. We enjoyed it!

Mike was a great tour guide. Very informative and educational. We wanted a true beer nerd and that's what we got. We were a group of 13 and opted for the private tour with stops at Labrewtory, Ecliptic and Baerlic. All were great. Baerlic was the best. Only thing I would say was kind of a pain is carrying your glass to each stop. I am used to wine tasting where you have a fresh glass at each stop and don't have to think about it.

Jeff V. and I have a few brewery tours under our belt from the Southern California (San Diego) area and we are huge fans of dedicating an afternoon to brewery hopping and day drinking. We spotted the Brewvana Tour bus one Saturday afternoon around town and immediately I looked up Brewvana on facebook, became a fan of their page and then started conversing with Ashley. We booked our tour for Saturday where we visited 4 breweries with lunch included. There are special little touches that Ashley provides throughout the tour such as pretzel necklaces that come in handy for snacking later, name tags so you can be social with your group because at the end you are all buddies, souvenir glasses and waters in the mini fridge in the back of the bus. Not to mention the bus is really fun, comfortable and even is equipped with cup holders. I was very impressed with Ashley's upbeat personality, her fun jokes and most of all her knowledge of beer. We are looking forward to taking future tours and visiting different breweries that she works with for tours. My recommendation is to book a tour for all your of your out-of-town guests who love excellent beer. This tour has it all, bits of history about the city and even though it is a tour of breweries it covers a lot of Portland and parts that maybe out-of-town guests would have never visited or even seen. Ashely is a great tour guide that maps out all of the districts during the ride and provides recommendations on all the hot spots which is even useful for local Portlanders. When our fellow yelping buddies, very good friends and best drinking pals Brad K. and Bridget K. visit us in May for her birthday you better believe we will be on this tour.

First of all, how awesome is Portland?! Second, how awesome is Portland Beer?! Truth be told, we travelled to this fine city to gluttonise on beer and food. Yup, we know all about your tasty frothies in Australia. In fact, we spend a pretty penny to try them all. So, it was great for us to make our way to its homeland. After doing on research on Yelp, we had to book in Brewvana. We could see that they would be taking us too all the cool kids on the block. We were looking to taste some of those unique beers. And we definitely got what we paid for. There was a whole lot of beer to sample at Green Dragon, Lauralwood, Kennedy School, and Great Notion. Each brewery had its expertise. Loved trying beers brewed from botanicals rather than hops. Also, I was very excited to try my very first sour beers. Very very tasty stuff and something I really wish we had at home. Loved all the different flavours of beer too like the Great Notion Key Lime Pie, Blue Berry Muffin and the Double Stack Breakfast Stout. I think Great Notion was my fave. Best of all, Alice our guide was very very knowledgable on brewing technics and so much fun. There were a whole lot of laughs, high fives and good times. If you are total beer nerd or looking to learn more about beer, this is definitely worth booking. You'll make new friends and get to meet some of the Brewers themselves. Thanks Brewvana for an awesome time!

Christa A. and I found the Brewvana bus driving around Portland and we had to look into it with hopes that it was a brew tour bus. After looking into it and finding out that it was indeed a brewery tour bus, we just had to do it. Since we recently relocated back up here from Southern California we did get to experience a few brew tours with John down in San Diego with his tour here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/brewery-tours-of-san-diego-san-diego#query:San%20Diego%20beer%20tour If you're not familiar with a brewery tour it is organized by the brew tour chief. You are to meet at a gathering spot to get picked up in the morning for some morning brews. It's a great idea to take a bus there so at the end of the day you will have a sober ride home. The tour usually consists of 3 or 4 breweries where samples, beer education and sometimes lunch is provided. (We went to hopworks and took a tour of their great brewery). At the end of the day you have become friends with everyone on the bus and ready to keep going brewery hopping. Unfortunately this is where the tour ends. Time to get off the bus and go home. The bus drops you off at the spot where you chose to get picked up from and that's the end of the tour. Brewvana is definitely a great beer tour. They know what they are doing and will definitely do well at what they are doing. Keep an eye out at your local brewery for Ashley and her crew and say hello! Even better, sign up and experience Brewvana.

Did the 'Tour da Funk' Brewvana Tour Sunday and it was so much fun! Emily was our Guide and she was so awesome! Our stops were: LaBrewatory, BTU, Culmination, and Stung. Majority of the beers were really good! BTU even gave samples of their food while we got to taste their beers. The breweries were all friendly and the people on our tour were pretty rad! I'd totally recommend doing a Brewvana Tour if you're ever in Portland. I'd most definitely do this again! Thanks for the good times Brewvana!

I went on the brewvana tour with Brian F below (I'm the daughter in the father/daughter combo) and I can attest to Brian's review! Having my dad in town, I wanted to have something solid for us to do instead of just roaming around and dealing with driving, parking, etc. I stumbled upon brewvana on yelp. All the great reviews definitely stood up to the experience. Nikki was an AUHMAZING tour guide. As Brian said, she dealt with our progressively drunk group of 12 men and 2 women all day....bless her heart! Bottom line: the beers, food and breweries were great, the group was pure entertainment & fun and dad had a great time! If I could give it ten stars I would! A great Portland experience!!!

Kelene was an awesome tour guide - knowledgeable, funny. She kept us on track at each brewery, showcasing its uniquness and then moving us on to the next great brew. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend this to any visitor!

My friends and decided to visit Portland for the weekend. For some, it was their first time there,…read moreso I wanted to take them around to see the city, eat donuts, and drink beer. Since we had multiple stops and there were 15 of us including 3 toddlers, it would have been a huge hassle to call so many Ubers/Lyfts. Not to mention all the heavy car seats that we would have had to carry with us to each location. My solution: renting a private bus! I reached out to multiple shuttle companies, but Shanghai really stood out to me. Dusty responded almost immediately and was very helpful in providing details about their pricing and buses. While my main goal was really just to safely and efficiently get my group to the various spots, it was a plus that Shanghai's bus also included a karaoke machine. Once we decided on the terms and details, Dusty sent over a contract within the next few days. The morning of our ride, Dusty texted to let me know our bus was on the way. Our driver, Ron, arrived a few minutes early, so by our reservation start time, we were all set to go. He was professional, kind and drove cautiously. As it was raining, I appreciated that he dropped us off as close as he safely could at each location, and then picked us back up when we were ready to continue to the next spot. The cooler was also stocked with ice, as promised. We ended up riding the Solid Gold bus, which is literally a converted school bus. I must admit this was very different from our typical sprinter party bus experience. For one, I had never ridden a party bus with kids before, and blasting "Wheels On The Bus" instead of dance music was such a different vibe. Lol! The bus was unique and had a vintage feel -- very Portland. Given our situation, I actually preferred this over the dark, tinted windows of the sprinters we are used to. The Solid Gold allowed us to see the city during our rides. We got a lot of stares every time we pulled up to a donut shop or brewery, but it was a fun experience. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids who now point out every bus that passes by on the street and say they want to go back to the party bus!
