Apparently I had used incandescent lightbulbs and they often don't make full contact in this type of lamp. So I was charged nothing for the time it took Brass Candle to determine the problem. I was very impressed. The shop keeper could have just kept my lamp for a week or so and charged me to fix a lamp that wasn't even broken. Kudos to Brass Candle for being honest.

But despite not finding exactly what we wanted we did find some cool and interesting looking lights to reference and get future ideas for at our home that isn't Happy Light related. The gigantic and amazing chandeliers, way out of our budget and way too big for our residence but SO gorgeous. The best deals in the store, imo, were the bathroom lights. Also, they have a very large selection of outdoor lights (like if you have a light in front of your door or flanking your garage).

Paul talked me through how to diagnose the issue over the phone to see if the issue was with the fridge or with the circuit itself. Upon finding out that the issue was with the fridge, Paul advised me to contact an appliance tech instead of charging me to come out in person to do the diagnosis. I am so thankful for Paul! I was having issues with my new fridge and wasn't sure if it was the…read morefridge or the circuitry (my GFCI outlets kept flipping just from plugging the fridge in). I have an older house so it could've been anything... Paul was able to squeeze me in towards the end of the day due to a cancellation, so I can tell that he takes care of new customers just as well as existing. He was so communicative and honest with what he was doing, I actually learned a lot! After a couple hours he deemed that the wiring and circuit to the fridge was just fine and that the issue is probably the fridge itself (which is unfortunate, but at least he didn't have to tear my wall apart!). I will say that the fees were a little more than other electricians I saw, but given the quality, communication, and overall great experience, it's well worth it! I will be using Dependable Electric again whenever I have electrical issues!
