Awful experience here! The people at the counter are not friendly at all, they are a little overpriced, but sadly their bagels are actually pretty decent. I asked for extra spread on my bagel, and it wasn't even extra and I was charged for it. Will never be back. I would have loved to have ordered a bagel. But Im a type 2 diabetic so bagels are a rare treat. Instead I went with Da Boss - chicken cutlet, mozzarella cheese, and penne vodka and a side of fries. I had this delivered for my lunch break. First, all my food was hot when it arrived which does not happen often with a delivery order. I had my options of bread and went with the hero for an extra $1. Nice thin cutlet, bread held up with sauce. For my own preference I would have liked more penne and sauce. We ordered from here the other day and were pleasantly surprised. They are the best bagels I have had in the Danbury area and the closest to an actual NY bagel. They are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The prices are a little cheaper but much better quality than nearby competitors. I come here every week or two and buy half a dozen bagels. They are always excellent. Unlike other bagels, their bagels freeze are enjoyable after removal from the freezer. First time trying this place and I was impressed! I ordered a BEC on an everything bagel and the cheese was nice and melty. Typically fresh bagels have a good crust to them so I don't ask for toasted but this bagel was missing that, its crust was soft. Therefore I wish I had gotten toasted. I took a sesame bagel home for later and toasted it and I got what I was looking for! The people were nice and I will definitely go back to try other items. Oh my bagel! Went in for a couple bagels and they actually had green olive cream cheese fresh!! Hunks of olives just the way I love it. Only thing better would be walnuts but I can add those at home. Asked them to toast the hell out of my bagel and THEY DID!!! Fabulous bagel cooked just right and then toasted to perfection. So excited for this new spot in town!!! Ate too fast for a pic. Meh, this is nothing like an NY bagel. I think that the impression is if you boil the bagel then it's NY. CT loves making these enormous doughy bagels and that's NY. There is a delicate balance between the ratio of dough and a crunchy outer with an NY bagel. It's very much about the water too. The price was more than anticipated and the bagel was fine. Very pleasantly surprised. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see so many selections available in addition to the standard fare menu. I enjoyed a Portobello mushroom sandwich with melted cheese, cooked red peppers, lettuce and a peach smoothie. The staff were all very friendly and brought the food to my table. I would say a little on the pricey side but I thought it was worth it as I don't usually get the opp to treat myself. The place was very clean and bright with a few tables. My mom is a single mother and makes ends meet with the help of food stamps (SNAP) so we tried using the new NY Best Bagels' program where you can get leftover bagels for a much lower price. What a mistake. We paid in advance but when my mom went to pick up the food the man inside was nasty. He pretended the bagels we paid for didn't exist, then when shown the receipt told her it was "too late", that they "didn't have anything" for her and refused to refund our money. Hard earned money that should have gone towards our next meal. Again, you sir are a thief and I can only hope your employer sees this message before you take the company down with you. It is a VERY disorganized establishment! after ordering my food items, I proceeded to the register to pay (which is pretty standard everywhere else) and a Spanish female employee kept telling other customers to cut in front of me so that they could pay! After 10 minutes of this I decided to take my money elsewhere! As I was about to leave, the lady called me up to finally pay. After I expressing my dissatisfaction with my experience, she told me that people are supposed to pay once their orders are complete! I then told her that that should have been expressed by the server who takes the orders! The food is expensive and for no reason. I rate the food a 4 out of 10. I will never be back! read more

While enjoying the food they offer - I am disappointed in their $10 min rule. Barely ever do I carry cash and paying $7 for a bagel I should be able to pay with my bank card. On few occasions now was forced to order more food than I intended to eat because I did not have cash on me and needed to use by bank card. Perhaps lowering that requirement to $5 would be better for some of your frequent clients? read more
