Awful experience here! The people at the counter are not friendly at all, they are a little overpriced, but sadly their bagels are actually pretty decent. I asked for extra spread on my bagel, and it wasn't even extra and I was charged for it. Will never be back. If you want poor service and want to be disrespected, this is definitely the place for you!

I would have loved to have ordered a bagel. But Im a type 2 diabetic so bagels are a rare treat. Instead I went with Da Boss - chicken cutlet, mozzarella cheese, and penne vodka and a side of fries. I had this delivered for my lunch break. First, all my food was hot when it arrived which does not happen often with a delivery order. I had my options of bread and went with the hero for an extra $1. Nice thin cutlet, bread held up with sauce. For my own preference I would have liked more penne and sauce. Looking forward to being able to try a bagel soon/

We ordered from here the other day and were pleasantly surprised. They are the best bagels I have had in the Danbury area and the closest to an actual NY bagel. They are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The prices are a little cheaper but much better quality than nearby competitors. Great variety of bagels, cream cheese, baked goods, etc. I really enjoyed the scallion cream cheese. Want to come back soon to try a breakfast sandwich.

Burned bagel. In and out; both sides.

10$ MINIMUM to use a CC or Apple Pay etc!!! No guys, NEVER coming here again. Cashier blamed Boss. Ordered a Small coffee and bagel. Cashier "allowed" me to use my app to pay. Seriously? Get w the times, ppl. Rude place. And, burned bagel was given, burned inside & out! . Should have gone back inside! Here's a pic.

Hands down the best bagels in the Brookfield area! This new gem recently opened on Federal RD in Brookfield. True NY style bagels that you can't find anywhere else. They have an extensive menu serving breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. Aside from their fresh bagels, they have regular deli options, smoothies and fresh juices as well. The owners are so kind and the service is quick, even when they're busy. They have a handful of tables inside to enjoy your food, and accept online orders if you're taking it on the go. Go show them some love!

First time trying this place and I was impressed! I ordered a BEC on an everything bagel and the cheese was nice and melty. Typically fresh bagels have a good crust to them so I don't ask for toasted but this bagel was missing that, its crust was soft. Therefore I wish I had gotten toasted. I took a sesame bagel home for later and toasted it and I got what I was looking for! The people were nice and I will definitely go back to try other items. From what I saw everything looked very clean!

Meh, this is nothing like an NY bagel. I think that the impression is if you boil the bagel then it's NY. CT loves making these enormous doughy bagels and that's NY. There is a delicate balance between the ratio of dough and a crunchy outer with an NY bagel. It's very much about the water too. The price was more than anticipated and the bagel was fine. I would try it again. The staff was nice. Still on the hunt for the best bagel in this area. Probably just will continue bringing them back from LI.

The food tasted great, it was freshly prepared by very welcoming & attentive people. The location was very easy to get to, near Costco, and across from La Hacienda. Going back soon to try their breakfast offerings: pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon, etc.

It was decent, but haven't been there three times and having to repeat my order and still not have it come out right as a little discerning.

I don't know if the owner or decision maker here has ever been in a bagel shop…read more You cannot order a single bagel with cream cheese. You can only order in quantities of 3, 6, or 12. So if you are just stopping in on your way to work it should be a pass. The bagels are also super expensive and incredibly soft, does not appear to have much crust. And I would know because I have 3 bagels all to myself to critique . Super disappointed.

ORIGIN: Popup Bagels was founded by Adam Goldberg during the…read moreheight of the pandemic, when Goldberg explored bread baking. Initially sharing with friends and family, the Connecticut resident started selling via popups and pickups in New York and Connecticut. You would think New York already had a good source of bagels, but after its first stand-alone location opened in 2021, momentum developed and other storefronts were initiated in New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. LOCATION: This Popup Bagels is located in a shopping plaza in suburban Newtown, Connecticut. CONCEPT: Compared to other bagel shops, Popup Bagels a limited number of bagel flavors (plain, salt, everything, poppy, sesame) and tubs of weekly-changing flavors of butter and cream cheese (such as martini cream cheese and lemon butter) in addition to those regularly available (such as scallion cream cheese). Sandwiches are not prepared for customers -- they are encouraged to "grip, rip, and dip" bagels into their chosen Schmear. ATMOSPHERE: The interior is crisply designed with a modern feel. SERVICE: From an investment perspective, the concept is brilliantly efficient. Limited hours (7-noon Wednesday and Thursday, 7-1 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), limited choices, no sandwich/beverage prep, and online ordering encouraged, make the service efficient from both effort and material perspective. FOOD: Compared to other bagel shops the bagels are attractively packaged with open totes, inviting the aroma of the bagels to greet the customer. The exterior is covered by the topping, rather than sprinkled. The bagel is crisp and chewy on the exterior, but fluffy in the interior. In addition, tubs of smoked fish-based spreads are available. TIPS: The chain is expanding into Southern California. On Thursdays Schmear flavors change. The flavors are announced on Popup Bagels website. Although pre-orders are welcomed to ensure your pick, the online system does demand a minimum of a dozen are purchased. Ordering in person allows a three bagel minimum. The company recommends running water over the bagels, and placing in a preheated 350 degree oven for six minutes to crisp the exterior. Note the shop closes at noon on weekdays, 1 o'clock on weekends.
