BEST BAGELS EVER! we were excited to try this new bagel spot in Ridgefield after hearing about how great the bagels are. They were even better than we expected! These truly are the best bagels I've ever had and I've had my share of bagels. I work in Manhattan and would pick Fletch's bagels over city bagels every. Single. Time. My favorite is the everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. My husband orders the everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and lox. As an added bonus, the people working here are very friendly and helpful! 100000/10 highly recommend.

    Low carb option too!

Best bagels we've had. Happy to have a new place for a local breakfast. Salad options, too.

Best bagels ever. They have a great assortment of cream cheeses too. Try the pastrami and corned beef, you won't be disappointed.

My early visits were bad enough that I left a review, later took it down to give them a chance, then reposted when things didn't improve. This time, one of the owners spotted me right away and, with a sarcastic jab, asked if I was "going to put up another review." Moments later, I watched their machine fail to build pressure - espresso poured instantly as thin, bitter liquid with an off smell. It wasn't just watery; it was undrinkable. When I pointed it out, she admitted it was "being serviced next week." As she walked to the register to refund my money, I overheard her tell her co-owner that I should never come in again. They did give me my money back, but only after knowingly serving something that shouldn't have left the bar. I don't expect world-class coffee - just honesty and competence. If the machine is broken, tell customers. Instead, Queen B chose to serve bad coffee with attitude.

No more. I've given up on this place. I went a few times in the past and it was "good enough."…read moreUnfortunately, the two most recent times I walked out very frustrated. Today, I ordered Crab Cakes Benedict and as they were being brought to the table I smelled a strong fishy smell and I have a weak sense of smell. I took one bite and lo and behold, it tasted off. I let them know and asked for just regular Eggs Benedict. She asked if I wanted Canadian Bacon and I asked for other options, and decided on regular bacon. I waited a little bit and they brought it out with Canadian Bacon, not regular bacon, I was about to just take it off and eat it but the girl realized her mistake and said she would fix it. By the time they brought out the "third" version we barely had any time left. It comes time to pay and the bill has Crab Cakes Benedict $20. I mentioned it to the server because what I ate was cheaper and she said "the kitchen told me to charge you that." Excuse me?! You mean the fishy, old crabcakes that could have gotten me sick? Not to mention the inconvenience of waiting. I honestly couldn't believe the audacity. Also, SHAME ON THEM for trying to get away with that--what about someone else that doesn't notice or just acquiesces to not be a bother. Also, two weeks prior when we went, we were about 50% done with our meal and my young daughter suddenly had to use the restroom--I left my keys on the table and smiled at the servers on our way to the bathroom. I come back and our food was thrown out and my keys were at the hostess stand. Really?? They offered to remake the food after the fact but I had to get my daughter to school and we didn't have time. Never again Edit to add my response to the owner's reply: Ron, I'm happy for you and your crab cake business. I love crab cakes which is why I ordered them--there's absolutely no reason for me to not eat them after ordering. To reiterate, within the first bite, I noticed they tasted off, smelled off too--I didn't care to chance food poisoning. In your reply to my review, your accusation that I'm "trying to hurt a small business" is an interesting, if not telling choice of language and one that's quite incendiary. I posted my review on Google & Yelp, the two places that I use for reference. It's curious that you view this as an attempt to essentially dismantle your business. Review systems were put in place so that people can share their experiences and that is exactly what I have done.

The breakfast menu offers egg plates, omelettes, benedicts, huevos rancheros, egg sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, waffles, cereal, corned beef hash, bagels & muffins. The lunch/dinner menu offers sandwich/wrap plates, burgers, salads, soups, fried appetizers, pasta dishes, seafood dishes, London broil, steaks, and desserts (cakes, pie, rice pudding, ice cream treats) . They also have a kids menu (under 12). The prices are moderate, most entrees $10-$30 range. I stopped by Pop's Diner for lunch recently. The place wasn't busy and I was seated at a booth. I got an ice water and ordered the French Dip ($15.95 plus tax) served with fries, cole slaw & dill pickle chips. My entree plate arrived in 10 minutes. The French dip sandwich had thinly sliced roast beef (med well), melted mozzarella cheese on a soft Kaiser bun (cut in half) and a cup of hot au jus for dipping. The standard golden fries lightly salted were hot and crisp. The crunchy creamy cole slaw (shredded cabbage & carrot) was smothered in mayo. After I was done, the server brought over the check with a SkyTab QR code, to pay online. Overall, a pretty good lunch with prompt service. If I'm back in town for a show, I would stop in for dinner.

The article references the Savoy Hotel, Danny Meyer's hospitality group, "the pursuit of excellence," and repeated commitments to quality and consistency. So I thought perhaps, at long last, the espresso situation had been resolved. Reader, it had not. I ordered a Cortado to stay. "Would you like that in a mug for here or a paper cup?" An encouraging start. I then positioned myself beside the espresso machine like a wildlife documentarian returning to observe a rare but persistent behavioral phenomenon. The barista dosed the portafilter, then tamped the coffee while holding the portafilter in midair, applying what appeared to be approximately the amount of pressure required to test whether an avocado is ripe. He locked it into the machine and pressed start. Brown liquid immediately exploded from the spouts with absolutely no delay whatsoever. The shot was over in roughly four seconds. For those unfamiliar with espresso, this is generally considered suboptimal. The resulting Cortado tasted primarily of hot milk and faintly burnt coffee sadness. After two and a half confirmation sips, I quietly left the remainder on the counter and departed. At this point I no longer review Ross's espresso. I monitor it.
