This location is my favorite. We have 2 others nearby but this is my spot. For some reason, the hot chocolate here tastes different than their other locations. One thing I must praise Bagelman for is their acknowledgement of their customer base and finally bringing GF/vegan bagels which are pretty good. My other favorite thing is the mamas cheese bread with the vegan sausage Patty. Rating this place a 2 star because I think the quality of bagels and cream cheese were actually really delicious and tasty which is the only thing that would bring me back. I wouldn't recommend this spot because the service was not there and that is what's super important to me. I totally understand weekend rushes but I didn't get a smile from even one staff member there & there was about 6-7 different workers at the front of the house. All of them looked annoyed, inconvenienced and it showed on their face that they did not want to be there. I hate to write negative reviews because again, I understand a busy Saturday morning could cause someone to forget a greeting or smile but when the entire staff is that way, it's a total turn off. I approached our cashier by saying "hi how are you?" In a bubbly way like I normally do. She ignored me, I asked again, "how are you?" And she responded with "fine". First, I just want to say the food is delicious here. For a bagel this place hits the spot. Inside everything is decorated beautifully and you can tell a lot of thought and effort was put into the layout and advertising. Unfortunately I may have come here during the busiest part of the day because everything was chaotic. The building was packed, the poor cashier looked so defeated taking my order and there was one staff member screaming out names and running up to people standing there with their order while there were multiple staff members there not too overwhelmed that could have helped with distribution. Like I said, the food was wonderful and maybe I got there during a bad time, but at that particular moment it was very uncomfortable waiting there awhile for a quick bite. read more

Have been doing Mobil order from this location for a while the service is by far the worst. The owner is condescending, rude and unpleasant. I walked in today 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready since it is never done on time. Very bad experience today at Bagelman. First they told me I was never charged for hash browns, but my receipt clearly said I was. So I was double charged. Then they charged me for a lemonade that they never had. And then they refused to add hash brown to the breakfast burrito, and I buy them there all the time at that location. Went to go have a quick bite to eat here the other day with my mom who is newly back in CT. She was so looking forward to an old favorite, Bagelman (she used to frequent this place quite often when she lived here years ago). It was approximately 2:40pm and as we walked in she saw an old friend so we stopped to talk for a minute, all the while standing directly in front of Bagelman entrance. We finished up our conversation and turned to walk in, a young rude employee decided he would slam and lock the door right in our face (and I mean right in our face!). Never even acknowledging us, pretended he never saw us, but he most definitely did! It wasn't 3:00 pm by any means! Sorry Bagelman of Brookfield but we won't ever be returning! I am a New Yorker and I have to admit the bagel are close to what I grew up eating. My biggest gripe is the amount of cream cheese becomes more scarce at they raise their prices. For the amount of money they are charging we deserve more then a quick scrape with the spreader leaving a very thin layer of cream cheese. read more

I find this place intimidating. For i.e. The notes taped all around the store. It's tight quarters,. not handicap friendly. The notes should be taken down. It's not good for business to put notes on shelving mentioning if you break it pay for it. Also the orange cones being put out in front of store was rude. I went to the store to place an order for 3 dozen bagels and a few containers of cream cheese. The menu board which is in plain sight read $1.35 and I was being charged $1.50. The supervisor who was taking my order said the manager (Mark) changed the till price yesterday but didn't change the board. The supervisor would not honor the $1.35 price, which is something any other store would do...honor a misquoted price. No apology. Waited like 10 to 15 minutes ( 3 other people behind me ordered after me) They all got theirs first, went to ask counter guy: do you know where my sandwich is: he yelled through his mask: "lady be patient!!" Bagelman in Brookfield is hands down the best place to go for a good breakfast or lunch sandwich on the freshest bagels around CT! Their garlic bagel is to DIE FOR! Pair it with a sausage, egg & cheese with a hash brown or a chicken cutlet with bacon and cheese and ranch! I would have to recommend ordering through their mobile app as I can safely say it almost entirely eliminates errors in your order. The owner Marc is very involved in the business, which is always great to see for a local chain. Their social media presence is also appreciated, because it keeps you up to date on any special hours or issues. Special shout out to Joey in the Brookfield store for going above and beyond, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. He tries to greet customers with online orders at the door to keep the flow of customer traffic going, he is always busy, delivering orders, checking orders, or cleaning... and if there's ever a problem with an order, he makes sure to prioritize it and fix it for you with no problem! read more

First of all, this staff is the epitome of nasty. I witnessed them take advantage of a 14 year old boy this morning. They played him and had him wait 45 minutes for a bagel. Then THE STAFF started a fight with his father & rudely told him "learn to wait" I work in the food service industry and let me say this is no way to act or run things in this pandemic.
