We used to be regulars for their happy hour ... pre-pandemic. This visit (Wed., 8/14/24) was for a birthday dinner for our 8 y.o. grandson. Perfect choice for the 10 and under crowd. In my opinion, the chef's performance was lack luster. *Yawn* Not much else has changed. Same decor. *Yawn* The appetizer's ... thumbs DOWN. The shumai presented well but was more dumpling than shrimp. The salt and pepper shrimp had NO salt (or pepper). The chicken livers and fried oysters ... just as bland. The service was ... I don't know ... maybe he was new. No complaints from those who ordered sushi but you have to work hard to mess up tempura and a California roll so I am not confident with their assessment. GOOD news: the hibachi (and drinks) were still pretty decent. KUDOS for maintaining their HUGE portions! The server's attempt at a treat for the birthday boy was noble and appreciated. It's not a NO for me but it's definitely not my first choice. Try for yourself and tell them you saw it in Yelp.

Came here for a solo dinner and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and made great conversation while I waited. The steak came out perfect hot, juicy, and with a great crust. I paired it with a glass of red wine and it hit the spot. The salad before the meal was super fresh and nicely dressed too. Definitely a good place to wind down after work. I'll be back, maybe with friends next time.

Went here on a Friday night and the steak really impressed me. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked with a nice sear. The meat was juicy and had great flavor without needing much sauce. I also loved the garlic mashed potatoes on the side. Our server was super friendly and checked in often without being overbearing. The place had a warm cozy vibe with dim lighting and soft music in the background. I'll definitely be back for another steak night.

My group of 4 got here around lunchtime, and it was a 10 min wait. They had a turtle tank at the entrance that was kinda cool to watch the turtles in. Once a table opened, we were seated. The staff was friendly the decor was nice and the food was even better. The soup was light, and the lettuce on the salad had crunch. They both tasted delicious. I got the hibachi steak. The hibachi steak comes with steak, vegetables, rice, and noodles. The staff was really accommodating if you asked for your meat cut smaller they did it. If you asked for extra anything... they gave it. If you said you were allergic or didn't want something, they accommodated that, too. Not only was their showmanship but the food not only looked good but it taste good as well. I will definitely be back.

I celebrated my birthday here. This is one of my favorite places to be. I love the fresh food prepared in front of me along with the entertainment, exotic cocktails, and the party room is just big enough to accommodate my gas.

The ramen here is unforgettable. The tonkotsu broth is creamy and full of umami, and the chashu pork is tender and flavorful. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the soft-boiled egg was just right. It's the kind of dish that leaves you warm and happy.

Double Chicken & rice Hibachi

The food was delicious and the drinks are strong. This is a cook in front of you hibachi. The food is good & hot. All hibachi comes with salad, soup, rice , noodles & 2 cooked shrimp. You pick the meat you want. There are also other items on the menu to choose from. For an appetizer we had the chicken livers, fried oysters & soft shell crabs. The chicken livers ware not what I expected. They were broiled(maybe) in a sauce with chopped peppers & onions. I wouldn't order it again. The soft shelled crab was legs only no body. Also not what I expected. My brother said it was good but it was only 4 small claw legs. We also had the oysters. They were good & tender. There were 6 in a serving. They have a bar for drinks and a sushi bar. This is our second time here. Get an alcoholic drink if you visit the drinks are good.

My experience at Fuji mountain was better than I expected in regards to the taste of the food. The reason I gave a 3 has nothing to do with the food, but the atmosphere. First, the parking is fairly simple as it is a part of a shopping center. You will notice that the sign is not fully lit. They need to change the light bulbs in it. Once inside, I stood there for about 2 minutes without being greeted. Once I was finally greeted, she assumed I was doing pick up. I think that is a popular choice. I decided to dine-in for Hibachi. So the wait was about 10 minutes to wait for a chef and table. While waiting, I went to the restroom. What a mistake!! It was completely disgusting- unflushed toilets, toilet paper all on the floor, barely any soap. You name it that's how that bathroom looked. It was a complete turn off and I almost decided not to eat there, but I was waiting for the other member of my party. After I got over that and we were finally seated, the experience improved. The service was quick. She took our orders fast and then came out with salads and soup. Both were delicious. I have a shellfish allergy, so I appreciate the option for chicken livers as an appetizer as well as the fact that they cooked my chicken before cooking any shrimp on the table. The chef was comical and gave us a show, even though it was the end of the night. He season the food well and gave us large portions. They give you noodles and fried rice as well as plenty of veggies!! Overall, I had to ding this place due to the atmosphere. It is not the best looking or most cleanly. However, I noticed many locals at the bar, so the drinks must be good and they had plenty of food options. You might want to stick to carry out if you choose to done at this establishment. Unfortunately, I was so engrossed in the chef's performance that I didn't really take many pics. I only got a pic of my to go box, but imagine how much you get if the box of leftovers is full!!

Fuji owes me nothing! I had never heard of them before but decided to check them out for happy hour and baby, this might be my new happy hour spot. The chicken teriyaki roll was top tier and the gyoza. The fried chicken wings were alright! Just needed some hot sauce and more seasoning. This lady beside me ordered the hibachi and I can't wait to come back for that. But I think they are known for their scorpion bowls and whew! That drink will get you right. John (bartender) was not slacking with the alcohol! I'll definitely be back.

Super Crunch Roll, Spicy Girl Roll
Opal L.

This place is my usual go-to in the area for sushi. They have never done me wrong! Yesterday I got the super crunch roll, spicy Mayo mussels, and seaweed salad (my usual). I also tried out a different roll this time: spicy girl roll (with added avocado). Everything was delicious! Also, the staff are always nice when I come in; I usually take their food to-go. Thank you Fuji!

Scorpion Bowl
Nicole L.

I frequented this spot for years. It's not the best but not the worst. Today my experience was less than subpar. I ordered Red Snapper hibachi and first bite was something hard and it was a lemon seed! I sent it back and ordered a Salmon hibachi which came out nice and hot, at this point I was no longer interested in eating. We ordered the scorpion bowl which was strong and did the job! It helped me forget about the mediocre food. I wanted to try something new and tried chicken teriyaki sushi roll, it was disgusting. It was a sushi roll with a huge chicken chunk in the middle saturated in teriyaki sauce to hide the awful piece of meat! Fuji Mountain you have officially turned me all the way off!

First off: this is no longer the Moon Rabbit restaurant. I never remembered the name. Only the…read morelocation. And the bunny logo. That restaurant moved to Penn Quarter a year ago and it's been about 4 years since I last went. I didn't even think I was in a new restaurant until I couldn't find the gold rabbit logo. The interior of the two restaurants is similar enough and having rolls with salmon roe topping your honey miso butter is not far off from what you might have found eating a fried chicken dish with a subtle Vietnamese twist at Moon Rabbit. The concept of WillowSong is nothing new: farm-to-table. But the flavors are beyond what we could of expected! The waiter explained how the chefs source their food from farms within a certain geographical radius. I definitely recommend a visit here for a special dinner that will leave you wanting to come back. The house made milk bread was served piping hot. The aroma - as I picked one roll up - was so indicative of bread you knew you were going to enjoy. The honey miso butter was not typical, and I loved it. It had a citrusy aftertaste and was not too sweet. I didn't eat the salmon roe - mentioned earlier topping the honey miso butter - but it was an interesting juxtaposition. The Squid Ink Oricchiette - black elbow pasta - was lovely. I asked the waiter, "Which is more popular here, the sea bass or the oricchiette?" He confidently said that if he had to choose, it would be the oricchiette and the Yelp reviews say the same. There was an inherent subtle heat and the jumbo lump crab meat was tasty. The squid ink pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the tomato jus herb crumble was well-seasoned. The micro greens garnish added such a nice, crisp crunch. The citrus olive oil ricotta - underneath of the pasta - had a good balancing effect. The grilled maple citrus pork chop - when featured - is a not-to-miss! The flavors were divine. You got the sweetness of the maple sauce and a really nice sear with the char-grilled aftertaste. Just the kind of flavor I look for. Cutting into the pork chop was easy as it was so tender. All of the herb and vegetable flavors in the charred gratin (Swiss chard simmered in a creamy garlic sauce) really came together for something delightful. The Swiss chard was cooked well, yet had a good crunch with a definite farm-to-table flavor, straight from the garden. We were here on a weekend night. A rowdier after-9pm crowd formed for a televised game. I've seen it much busier here on weeknights at Moon Rabbit, before 9pm, and the waiter said the crowds here are similar. I liked that it was more bustling on the boardwalk and calmer inside of this restaurant, before the sporting event crowd around the bar. There are so many restaurants to choose from at the Wharf, and many of them are packed and touristy. When you step inside of WillowSong, there is no crowding and the environment is calm. I would next like to try the Hamache Tartar. It is made with chili oil, preserved lemon, scallion, cashew, Eva's Garden mouse melon, serrano and cilantro. The staff said the breakfasts at WillowSong are very popular and are from 9am to 1pm. Cornmeal pancakes? Hello. Look at the Yelp photos to see the breakfast offering deliciousness at WillowSong. If the birthday dessert that we enjoyed was any indication, I would have to believe him. It was a chocolate brownie-like pastry with granola and graham crust, flowers and fruit. The dark chocolate ganache was decadent. This was a hazelnut dessert which I would have never ordered because I find the flavor overpowering. They kindly surprised us by bringing out a dessert they chose, with a lit candle and singing. I was so glad that the hazelnut flavor was subtle and that it did not taste like a Nutella dessert. The birthday dessert was subtlety-flavored with hazelnut but chocolatey and rich, otherwise. I think there was oatmeal or granola in it. This was a decadent experience. Love that the restaurant has margaritas and sangrias on draught. In the sangria you can find: mango purée, white wine, apple brandy and soda water. Would love to try, next time. As much as I love the Vietnamese fusion fare at Moon Rabbit, I was equally as delighted with the more global dining experience at WillowSong. And the lovely, warm service.

He was amazing! His service, attitude, attentiveness, and overall professionalism were all on point and really helped make our visit enjoyable. They were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, my girlfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta. It was well-portioned, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the jerk salmon and shrimp with cabbage and rice and peas, and it was equally impressive. We also added a side of mac and cheese, which was a great complement to the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was welcoming and enjoyable. We ordered the Mac and cheese bites but they did not have any Mac.. it was just fried cut up mozzarella sticks. Which is great.. if that's what it was called on the menu. We also ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a pub burger. The chicken sandwich was fine. The pub burger was ... meh. The pretzel bun they brought out was over toasted and looked like it was pretty dry before that. Like it was HARD. No one came to check on us after the food arrived so I had to take my plate to the check out desk to address the issue. Cait took care of it right away; I asked for just a new bun - I don't mind swapping it out myself. But in the end the burger was still just meh. Almost forgot to mention the fries .. not great. They were salted well but the fries themselves were almost chewy. When we checked out, Cait said apologized and mentioned some staffing issues. She offered to get in touch with some sort of compensation but didn't offer to waive our one beer. We left paying full price for everything. Again, fine spot if you just wanted to hang out and drink beer.

You know it was a solid meal and the experience was excellent! We had a special occasion, and we all came out for all you can eat crab legs. All you can eat cornbread and all you can drink. The alcoholic beverages were limited to Jim beam old-fashioned, red or white sangria, and a limited draft beer select selection. For all you can drink, you would usually expect a water down lower quality beverage, however, that was not the case. The old-fashioned were very well made. The red sangria was decadent and not overly sweet. And the draft beer was a good old draft beer. Caroline was our server. She was absolutely excellent. She was attentive, polite patient with us. Always making sure we were all taken care of. She helped make our meal even better. The decor of this restaurant is very high class. Visually it's very well, appointed with table, linens, cloth, napkins, and cohesive color scheme. With the decor, high-quality drinks and the high-quality food we were more than happy to pay the $70 for all you can eat and drink. I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. The food itself was good, but the service from Jordan honestly put a damper on the afternoon. On such a busy holiday, I understand things can get hectic, but we constantly had to ask for basic things like water and for our dirty dishes to be cleared, and the service was extremely slow and inattentive. I ordered pancakes from the menu. I waited nearly 30 minutes for pancakes because certain menu items apparently had to be ordered separately. And I had to ask about them twice. He keep blaming the kitchen, but I honestly think that it was him. To make matters worse, Jordan spilled water on my daughter's food and on the floor. His shirt was also visibly dirty with food and water stains on the front, which was not the most professional appearance. From where we were seated, we could also see him taking several breaks while the restaurant was busy. I didn't want to complain in the moment because my children planned this outing for me, and I didn't want to put a damper on the afternoon. But for me, service really makes or breaks a restaurant experience. And respectfully, some people are meant to be servers and some people are not. Serving may just not be Jordan's strength. He seemed overwhelmed, extremely slow, and honestly confused for most of our visit. And they were adding 20% gratuity automatically. He did not deserve 20% AT all! He soured my Mother's Day experience which was truly unfortunate. The food and ambiance were there -- the service unfortunately was not. A different server would have made this a five star experience.
