I found this place while I was visiting another business nearby. The name Yellow Bun and Chocolate got me. I thought it was a dessert place. But, I walked in and found that they actually have an array of savory items as well. First things first, it's carryout so no place to dine. But the service is awesome. I've been a few times and have gotten a different person every time and they have all been really helpful and kind. I met the owner the first time who recommended the Turkey Club as it's one of their headlining items and remarked that they serve all day breakfast as well. After trying a few items, I can say that they rarely miss. My favorites are: *Yellow Cupcake with Chocolate Icing. Pretty simple but it's my favorite type of cupcake and it never disappoints. *Brioche Bacon, Egg and Cheese. The eggs were fluffy, the sandwich was flavorful and filling. I've a had a few from different places and this is at the top for me. *Turkey Club. I have no complaints about this one. I've ordered it a few times and enjoyed it every time. It doesn't come with a side but you really don't need it. All in all, I'm a repeat customer so I order from them from time to time and have recommended them as well. read more

Upon entry, we were greeted warmly. The staff were incredibly kind and engaging. The young lady talked with us about customer and staff favorites. She gave great recommendations for the drinks and desserts. A slight error was made with one of our dishes and BEFORE giving it to us, the kitchen staff informed us of the error and quickly had it remade. Bravo for their communications!! I hadn't ordered from here before and went in person to ask about the soups. The cashier was very short with me. I wanted cream of crab but they only have Maryland Crab which is tomato based. Due to allergies I can't have the tomatoes. They also have chili. What we did get wasn't worth the price. The club sandwich was lunch meat so my Mother was not happy. The crab sandwich had a lot of filler and something green that we couldn't identify and I ordered it with the shrimp not expecting to pay $9 for 3 shrimp. We also ordered cupcakes and they were dry. Okay the food! Not a dine in spot. Very close to home for me so it was still hot. The grilled cheese was buttery and loaded with crab and large whole shrimp. There was a couple of cheeses melted inside (mozzarella and provolone?). One word "Decadent" and filling. I could only eat half. The lamb burger was delicious! There was mint! I couldn't tell if it was the sauce or mixed in. the wedges were seasoned with thick and piping hot. They also gave us some kind of honey mustard sauce. Went well with the wedges. I've been about 4 times or so and everything was cool until the last visit. The cashier (at the time of shift) needs training in greeting customers and speaking with them as they are ordering. We cut our order short because he lacked basic training/sense when speaking to grown women spending money. That was the first time I've brought my mother after I'd been raving about the food which she has had from one of my previous visits. She cut our order short and we left, having to get food and drinks elsewhere. All because of the little boy at the register. So I saw this spot on TikTok and decided to try it out. I got the seafood loaded baked potato and the pulled pork sandwich. I was also going to get a couple of desserts, but they were sold out at the time but they ended up giving me a strawberry cheesecake for free as well as a Cookie Monster cheesecake for free. For the seafood loaded baked potato it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It's actually the baked potato wedges with the toppings on top. Which actually wasn't bad, but I was anticipating an actual baked potato with all of these fillings on top and that's just not what I got. The overall flavor was pretty good. I didn't mind it. I don't know if it was something that I would definitely need to get again, but could appreciate the creativity of it. The poor pork sandwich was really good, however, I did feel like I want a little bit of sauce on it and I purchased the coleslaw separately although I wish it would've come with like a little cup of of coleslaw because I ended up purchasing a massive container to just put a little bit on top of my sandwich. Could just be a regional thing of that that's what I'm used to, but just my thoughts. The strawberry cheesecake was pretty decent. I would've wanted the crust did not just be crunched up graham crackers but rather if it was actually in like butter and it was like more crust filling and not just kind of like dust kind of as the crust, but like I said not bad definitely would try some other things because the flavors were there. The crab cake sandwich was huge, which initially made us think the portion sizes were generous. However, a closer look revealed a lot of filler. Instead of looking like a traditional crab cake, it had more of a stuffing-like texture. When it came to the taste, the disappointment set in immediately. One bite revealed that the sandwich was almost entirely filler, with only a few small pieces of shredded crab mixed in. There was virtually no crab flavor at all. POTATO WEDGES Oven baked potatoes that are slightly grilled after and seasoned well. These were good, next time I will ask for them to be cooked and grilled a lot longer so it can be almost like a baked potato lol. CHOCOLATE BROWNIE OVERLOAD This heavenly chocolate dessert was exactly an overload just like the name. It's super rich and incredible, made for a chocolate lover which I definitely am. Next time I'll try their other desserts. Now they just need some homemade drinks since I'm not really a soda or bottle juice lover. I was blown away at this small sandwich shop located off of Branch Avenue. As soon as I walked in, they greeted in a very fun and warm way. I noticed that everybody that walked in after me got the same greeting. The sandwich selections are very diverse and seem to have a lot of seafood options more than the other meats, but there is something for everybody. I was adventurous and tried the salmon Philly with extra remoulade sauce. The chef recommended I tried the potato wedges, and these potato wedges were cooked to perfection and were so elevated that I feel like it should be at a fancy steakhouse. So here is the critique: Crab cake - VERY flavorful but too much breading for my liking. Potatoes wedges - tasty, but some were big so they could have been cooked more tender, for my liking. Shrimp Po' Boy - AWESOME! I like that they let me customize it down from how they offer on it. SO good! Strawberry Lemonade - I am on the fence with this.
