By far the worst Greek I've ever had. The guy at the counter was basically a button pusher that is bad at pushing buttons. Tipped him 15% anyway. Didn't matter. My lamb was crispy burnt. Absolutely must try this place!! This hidden gem may not look like much but is worth the time. My boyfriend and I decided on a whim to try something new and we were not disappointed. Everything was made fresh and taste was out of this world. The lamb, falafel, and hummus are to die for! I highly recommend trying this place. This is a sleeper spot in Montgomery! The food was excellent and authentic! The service matched the food! While eating, there was a woman that was waiting for someone to come there, and one of the workers consistently made sure that she was okay. He even offered to make her tea while she was waiting. CAUTION!!! We lost about $50 due to their cheating business behavior. We ordered 4 items and paid by credit card. After pay and get the receipt, we found the prices in receipt for three items were different from them in their menu of website. For example, they charged me $13.99 for Lamb Gyro with Hummus and Feta which should be $8.99. The explanation from manager was that Hummus and Feta inside Lamb Gyro which cost $8.99 and Hummus and Feta outside Gyro as a side with extra cost. Not matter menu or cashier have not told us "Hummus and Feta" price with inside or outside of Lamb Gyro were different. For clearly, we showed their online menu and pointed out what we exactly ordered. Firstly, I was told there was no such item "Lamb Gryo $6.99", that is just for ad, not real. Secondly, I was told that I couldn't get the refund for the extra money I already paid. Their credit card machine had no refund function, then I said "you can give me cash instead", but they still refused. We have not taken anything from them since the merchandise were not what we ordered as the whole package. From the manager obvious cheating behavior above, we have reason to be doubt the food quality. We need avoid to be hospitalized or die due to foodborne diseases since there are roughly 128,000 hospitalized, and 3,000 die from foodborne diseases every year in our country". Unreliable management in restaurant increased the huge risk of foodborne diseases. Our family was not the only one victim for losing money by their cheating if you read other "one star review". The review related to food quality such as "bloody cheeseburger or hard cheesecake and red velvet cake" or "looked like it was cook two days ago burger" or "stale chicken, clearly frozen long time" also make me sure even I lost $50, it is also much better than our family members may lost health and life. read more

Two days ago I would've given this 5 stars because I always enjoy the food. Went in after going out with friends late Saturday night because they state they are open until 3 am. We arrived at 1 am, received our food, sat down to eat and then the person working, Michael, tells us the dining room is closed! He didn't tell the other 4 or 5 guests, just our group of people. We're forced to gather our food that we only had time to take one bite of to go outside. I did go back in to get his name to report and find out why others are still in here while we're outside. He said it's not his problem, dining room is closed! My husband works nearby and is in here every week. He's made comments that this Michael guy has not been the most friendly employee, but the food is worth it and the owner has always been great. If you claim to be open until 3 am, then what was the issue? If the dining room closes at a specific time, then that needs to be clearly stated somewhere. You had a group of people who came in and spent close to $100.00 get kicked out! Michael needs to go! Never have I been a big gyro fan but came here anyways. It was delicious and very fresh tasting. I got the lamb gyro with everything. I was worried about the feta being too much but it created a great balance with the feta not being too strong or over powering. Definitely will come back ASAP. It is all made fresh so don't expect food to come out in a minute. We waited about 10 minutes for our food. Call ahead and they will put your order in for dine in so the wait isn't as long. Visited on a Thursday and realized their briyani was not available that day; got something else and it was still delicious. Chatted with the guy at the counter and he told me they may make briyani on Friday. Guess what I did? Came back the next day, of course! Had the goat briyani and it is amazingly delicious! The chicken gyro was fresh and delicious. I also had a side Greek salad that had been pre-made and was not fresh; the lettuce was soggy and gross. The price for the combo meal was good. The customer service was mixed. The person who took my order was very short, didn't ask for my side, and didn't give my drink cup till I asked. We were passing through Montgomery and looked at Yelp for a quick dinner idea. We selected NYC Gyro based on the good reviews. My husband and I both had the lamb gyros. They were good, as was the tzatziki sauce, but not the outstanding flavor we expected from the reviews. Mythos Grill in Greensboro, NC, serves gyros that are much tastier. The man at the counter recommended adding the feta cheese and hummus to the gyros as well as a side of basmati rice. I wish we'd skipped those add-ons. The feta and hummus did not enhance the gyros, and the rice had a hot seasoning without much flavor. Sounds like others have had a better experience, but we will try something else on our next trip. read more

1st time ordering from here and it was wonderful. I had the chicken gyro and my co-workers ordered a variety of items (philly cheese steak, shrimp & spicy chicken sandwich) and everyone loved there food! The only issue I have is we ordered from Grub Hub because they said they delivered. We are only 2.4 miles from NYC and he called me and said we were located too far from the location for him to deliver when I told him I was only 2.4 miles he back pedaled and said I don't have a delivery person!!! read more
