I hate to leave this one star because I love the way they do my eyebrows BUT they screwed up on perming my eyelashes. $60 and barely a lift. My lashes are still straight and the tips barley have a curl to it (mind you some hairs are still straight). She was blaming my lashes "they are too straight" but that was the whole point on getting them permed!!!! Beware***** she never put the white protector strip on the bottom of my eyes, used 1 glue ( my nephew was there and confirmed this) and the chemical started to burn my upper eyelids above my lashes. I'm not happy and I'm going back for a refund or for someone else to fix them Update: They offered me no refund but was willing to do it again for free. I decided that their method is unsafe and will never go there again. read more

Omg I would give this place a zero star if I could. I had thick eyebrows when I came in and I'm left with two really thin eyebrows that's super uneven. The lady proceed to blame it on my hair growth... like no I had hair there, you just removed all of it -.- read more

Its an okay place. They don't really shape but they clean up nicely. I just wish they knew how to shape better.

They're really caring about your eyebrows. I bring my friends here all the time because I actually trust them with my eyebrows. My friend went on his own, and wasn't satisfied so I went back with him again the next time. They fixed them up with no charge. My experience with this threading salon is a 5 star. They make sure my eyebrows are full and growing, and not sparse. Just the way I like them. read more

I regularly go to this location since I moved in the neighborhood almost a year ago. I usually take whoever is free and tell them I don't like my eyebrows skinny like most places thread my eyebrows. I definitely recommend this location for threading. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went here to get my eyelash extensions done. I had been going here for quite some time to do my eyebrows and it was an okay place, so I thought what's the worse that could happen. Let. Me. Tell. You. First off, they used some 99cent lashes(I was charged $50 as opposed to $40 because according to them, those were the "good kind"). Secondly, in the process of apply them the lady managed to glue my eye shut!!! She didn't even put anything underneath my eye to protect it. It was the most painful thing trying to pry my eye open. She giggled and said "oh sorry". Long story short, because she managed to get the glue in my eye, I developed a lump on the INSIDE of my eyelid. I noticed it immediately the next morning. It has now been 2 months and I have a surgery scheduled to have the lump removed. Doctors said either the tweezers were not sterilized or the glue managed to clog a pore. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this place. I added photos so everyone can see. This review is not an exaggeration. read more

I made the trip to NYC from Canada this past summer and I stopped by this awesome Salon! I came in quite late but the staff were very welcoming. I wanted to get my body waxed and they were very quick to get this done. Very efficient, knowledgeable and kind. I was quite nervous because it was my first time doing my waxing. I usually go to this salon but today I tried the other location which is about two or three blocks away, there were two employees, one was with a client and the other was blow drying her own hair........I thought maybe her shift was over or she was taking a break but then she took the next customer after me, very unprofessional! when I first walked in neither of them acknowledged me, no hi hello have a seat, nothing, the one pampering her self during her shift focused more on the children I brought in with me as if they were gonna break her plastic chairs. When I was done I didn't tip because lack of customer service, learn how to treat a paying customer first. Anyways I'm not going back and I'd recommend you don't go at all to this specific location on 52nd and 5th ave, their other stores on 50th and I believe 56 are good, go there instead. read more

I usually come here to thread my brows, however I'm not so sure if I will come again after this time. The ladies are super friendly, but the one who did my brows rushed her work and it was over in a matter of two minutes. My brows are now crooked and she gave me an arch when I did not ask for it, and she did not clean up my brows. There are sparse little hairs under too. read more

My daughter and I want there yesterday. 1st impressions count, our impression of this place is not a favorable one. My daughter needed an eyebrow waxing. The employee wanted to thread her eyebrows because according to her the eyebrows were too thick to wax. Ridiculous , since she has been waxing her eyebrows for 6+ years. The employee went through the motions of waxing and did nothing but apply wax and barely took any hair off. Then said, "See to thick, you need threading". 1 She wanted to charge more money for her services. 2. She wanted to do what she wanted to do. We left at this point because we were being duped. We went back to our regular spot. "Summer Nail Salon" Formerly "Strawberry Nails". On 5th and 58th. They waxed her eyebrows without an issue. THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE IN NEW YORK!!! I tried getting eyelashes there once..... the lady kept breathing on me with her nose to dry the glue. Literally standing over my forehead blowing air out of her nose. I was gonna throw up. And she didn't even try to sanitize her hands before she did my extensions! She tried to go from cleaning to touching my eyes....gross. And then while she was doing my eyelashes (she must've not been trained correctly) , she kept placing her sweaty palm on my forehead to hold my eyes open. Usually they let you hold your own eyes open, but no. I was disgusted after that. It was traumatizing. A few weeks later I went back to the salon to get my eyelashes done again, and I was gonna ask the other woman to do them. Unfortunately that same woman was the only one standing there and I decided to give her another chance. BIG MISTAKE!!!! She messed up my eyelashes even more than the first time. Not to mention I was severely uncomfortable and everything felt so unsanitary. And she got the semi-permanent eyelash glue ON MY FACE!!!! On my nose and on my lower lash line there was black glue I couldn't remove. She tried to scrape it off but then she told me "I can get the remover but it's gonna burn". I refused to let her put any burning chemicals close to my eyes! This place is horrible. They don't do eyebrows that well either. If you're considering eyelash extensions consider elsewhere please!!! read more
