This pain had come and gone over the years (most likely due to rheumatoid arthritis) and had currently been with me consistently for the last 9 months. I was assured that the specific pain could be completely eliminated and we could then start working more intently on the root cause of the issues.. I was not sure what to expect but felt comfortable at every step of the process. Mr. Venjara is very professional and knowledgeable and has a calming and caring demeanor. He fully engages me in the treatment plan explaining what he is doing and how it works. He checks in regularly during a treatment to see how I am feeling and makes any adjustments necessary. It is amazing to feel improvements every week in so many ways! The most surprising thing I have found is that not only is the pain GONE and has allowed me to resume my former activities but there are many other pleasant "side effects". Mainly, in addition to increased energy and a general sense of greater well-being I have been sleeping with NO problems. This is a huge benefit to me as someone who has had constant issues falling asleep for years. About 2 weeks into treatment I have been able to fall asleep normally EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Had I known the amazing benefits I would feel I would have made an appointment for acupuncture long ago. I am so glad I chose Bonafide Acupuncture and am so grateful to Mr. Venjara for his compassionate and knowledgeable care that has cured my long standing issues in such a short amount of time. As a side note, visiting his office is a pleasure. The staff is friendly and professional. I have never had to wait past my appointment time to be seen. The front desk wasn't very friendly; they seemed overwhelmed and confused, though this was not Raymond's team. His front desk is inside the establishment, so I couldn't speak to them directly and had to have the front desk call his team. There were about 10 people waiting, but they weren't there for him, so I was taken in quicker. The front desk told me it's never usually busy, which was a bit confusing. I also wish they had clarified over the phone that it was split into two businesses so I would know what to expect when I entered. Initially, I felt disappointed and considered leaving, but once I spoke with his front desk, they reassured me that I would be taken care of and everything would be okay. When I met Raymond, he asked me a lot of questions and spent about 20 to 30 minutes with me. I appreciated that he asked for my consent every time he touched me. He worked on my back, applied a heat pad, cracked my lower back, and worked on my legs. After the session, I felt much better. I'm going to try my best to see him on a weekly basis, but his location is quite far for me. He appreciated that I traveled so far to see him based on his reviews. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be coming back, but I don't know if I'll be able to do so weekly due to the travel distance.

I needed to be buzzed in and there was a sign showing their location on the lower level. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a guy who offered me a seat and asked me to complete some paperwork. There were some other people there as well so that was a good sign :) The paperwork was to provide information about pain areas and such, similar to going to a massage therapy place. Li Ying was the acupuncturist who worked on me and she took her time to ask about my concerns and pain points. When I was in the treatment area, she told me what to expect and showed me the new needles that would be used (new each time). I had lots of questions as it was my first time and she made sure to answer all of them to make me comfortable. She ended up doing acupuncture, cupping and infrared light, as well as some manual manipulation on my main pain areas (neck/trap and lower back). I asked what it would feel like and she mentioned that it might feel like a paper cut, but less (which honestly made me nervous) lol but it actually barely even felt like anything! I'm pretty sensitive in general so I could feel all the entry points, but nothing hurt at all and she made sure to check with each one. The cupping part was some suction cups around my upper and lower back. While working on me she would ask about location and feelings to make sure there wasn't any pain. Numbness and heat could be some of the symptoms, but I didn't feel any of that thankfully. I received a 30+ minute treatment and it was followed up by the offer of water, tea and snacks. Li Ying allowed me to take some photos of the office since I was one of the last ones finishing from their complimentary hours. She also offered some tips and suggestions to help keep my symptoms at bay. I enjoyed my first acupuncture experience here and plan to come back if my pain persists. They take a bunch of insurances and are open Monday-Saturday 10-6pm with sessions typically lasting about 45-60 minutes. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this place - I really enjoy the idea of holistic wellness. My husband is looking forward to trying them out soon too! :)
