    Kringle
    Ci H.

Racine's Kringle is best described as puff pastry but better in that it's not a crunchy texture. I got the pecan Kringle & my first bite was that it's way too sweet. As I made my way through the Kringle on the road trip, I became addicted to it and declare the Kringle the best thing ever. They had cheesecake & raspberry and were out of the special Mother's Day choices. Service was good. Ambiance was nice but it's a super tiny place if you want to have coffee there. 4 seater at most. The cost is about $12 at the store & $24 for an online order. I understand you can get it at Trader's Joe as well for $12.

Ordered the chocolate cake , recieved yesterday. It's dry and really doesn't taste like chocolate. I can't describe the taste, is brown but no chocolate. The frosting iis ok but nothing to brag about. You cant not even see the filling inside . I tried this cake 3 yrs ago for my husband bday and it was moist and rich ..no the same cake. For $81.99 the taste is not there. Something has changed with the ingredients. Costco chocolate cake is 100% better, rich, moist snd the frosting is delicious. Im very disappointed .

We've heard so much of these famous danishes. It was awesome when they walked in the door with a box. All the way from Wisconsin ! I was very excited. All the stories are true. The Danish is spectacular . Nothing better than Christmas morning to have a perfect danish . Five stars.

The Kringle is as good as it gets!!! I love the apple and the almond the most but virtually every one is excellent. First time, tried the cream puffs (frozen, but thaw nicely); virtually indistinguishable from the State Fair!! Also tried a couple danish which were quite good but not at same level as the Kringle or the CPs.

We had a customer bring us a turtle Kringle to share with everyone in our department when she stopped by which was very nice and unexpected because we don't usually get sweets from customers. I had no interest in the Kringle and I was not eve going to have a piece because it's usually a boring traditional flavor but when I looked close at the flavor hours later I had a sliver. The Kringle flavor was turtle which I have never had or seen before so I'm definitely trying it. It was very good with a light flakey pastry topped with chocolate and nuts filled on the bottom with Carmel and chocolate. Overall it was pretty good and I'm glad that I took a closer look at the flavor.

We swung by to see this particular O&H Danish Bakery as it is vintage 1972, their second flagship location after the 1949 original flagship was moved here, and the oldest of the five existing O&H Danish Bakeries.  The main reason was just to visit it as we were told at the Washington Ave. store, about 4 miles away, that this older and dated bakery would be replaced in about 2 months.  We found it quieter and less popular than the sparkling Washington Ave. location anyway, but with the same quality products of course.  Having just bought two Kringles at the other store, we just bought a braided Danish donut called a cruller ($1.15)  and some butter crust bread to celebrate their history and say goodbye and good luck!

Beautiful facility and the best Kringle! I suggest you also stop for a breakfast sandwich! I had the Ragnar: egg patty plus hard boiled egg with sausage patty (or bacon) with Gruyère in a toasted English muffin! Yum! I followed that with a raised twist- great donut light and fluffy

Who will do it like YOU, NOBODY!! Yup, you got that right! Nobody makes kringles like O&H, and I mean NOBODY!! When you hear Wisconsin what do you think about? If you ask me I would say, KRINGLES*! Honestly, I didn't even know what Kringles was until I came to Wisconsin. Kringles are a THING, especially in Racine. Now, every time I hear the word my eyes get big instantly! One taste of those Kringles and they will have you HOOKED! I absolutely LOVE O&H! They have the most outstanding Kringle, especially if you get them fresh early in the morning. They offer various different flavors and even seasonal flavors. Make sure you come early in the morning when they have most of their flavors available. They seem to sell out pretty quickly, they do have a large selection in the bakery case as well. Plus, the staff are very friendly and attentive. My all-time favorites are the: -Almond Kringle -Raspberry Kringle -Apple Kringle My girlfriend and her husband love the Turtle and the Wisconsin Kringle, which seems to be one of the seasonal flavors. I also loved their deli at this location. Make sure to order their Viking Power Sandwich, it's to die for! Honestly, if you ask the residence in Racine, they will all have their own opinion on who makes the best Kringle in town! I hear that the kringles freeze really well if you are open to taking some back home, they also have special bags that you can purchase to take the kringles back with you. If you're interested, they also offer to ship; be careful as that can become really pricey as well. I know after eating at O&H that the best FRESH Kringles are made in-house RIGHT HERE! This is a MUST try then you are visiting Racine! I promise you will not experience this type of delightfulness elsewhere. *Kringles- It's a "Danish" pastry in the shape of an oval ring with filling and icing. The fillings vary from pecan (the most popular), almond, cherry, turtle, apply, raspberry, and even specialty holiday flavors.

The service is friendly, with two servers managing both the indoor and outdoor tables. They were attentive and quick to address any issues. When my husband's meal came out overcooked with burnt potatoes, they offered a replacement dish and even gave us complimentary beignets, which was a nice gesture. However, the food quality didn't quite match the price point. My chorizo omelet was flavorful but a bit overcooked, and while I appreciated the rosemary potatoes, the cheesy potatoes were just weird--definitely not what I expected. The coffee was a little weak for my taste but did have a pleasant flavor. As for the kids, this isn't the most family-friendly place. There's no dedicated kids menu, and while I loved the blue-beary pancakes, they didn't appeal to my little ones. We ended up ordering extra plain pancakes just to keep them happy. This spot is cute and could be a great brunch place to eat if you get the right dishes prepared correctly. I'd recommend it, but with some caution, especially if you're dining with kids or are particular about your food being cooked just right.

The restaurant is quite spacious and located on the second level of the building. There are options to sit inside, outside but covered, or outside. The marina and Lake Michigan add the experience with great views from the deck area. Our server was very nice. She was super attentive, and we really appreciated her checking back in for refills, napkins, etc. The food was actually the highlight of my experience. I got the garlic shrimp skewers which came with a Hawaiian roll, Cole slaw and a side (I chose a baked potato). My partner got the prime rib dip with hush puppies. Didn't have a chance to take a pic of the cheese curds before they were devoured! Only downside is the place is VERY noisy. Everytime someone who move a chair, the scraping sound was otherworldly. They are metal chairs on a concrete/gravel flooring. Not ideal. And waitstaff was constantly dropping things and running into each other or the chairs/tables. That was a bit chaotic. However, the food was great and so were the views. They also have live music (they had wrapped up before we got there today). I'd definitely come back (maybe sit inside near an area where you can look out on the lake).
