We visited with 2 adults and one toddler. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so we were seated right away. The staff member who helped us was very kind and even suggested we sit near the fish tank to keep our toddler entertained. He was very attentive and brought everything out so quickly. My lady's garlic chicken lunch special came in good portion with pad thai and rice. They used chicken breast for the dish which was rather dry in texture and a heavy taste of pepper, a bit too spicy. My selection of Seafood Tom Yum was on the sweet side, not enough sour flavor in balance. It was a very mild taste even though I ordered 3 stars spice level. The ingredients were adequate except I didn't enjoy the salmon pieces, it tasted very fishy and did not compliment the dish well. The cleanliness of the restaurant was a little concerning considering they'd recently received an Excellent on the health inspection. The food was just okay. Nothing special. I was hungry so I ate more than I should have. The curry lacked real flavor. The flavor was a little bitter, but no coconut or ginger or garlic rang through like it normally does in Thai food. On the plus side, the food was hot and there was plenty of it for a lunch deal. This is the second time I've been there in about a year. I won't go back. Small shop with very few seating so be aware if you are going to dine in. The pad kee mao was mediocre at best. Slightly sour flavor and not spicy at all even though I had got medium spice. The pad see ew with chicken tasted off. I usually am not one to waste food, however I could not finish this entree. Lastly, the yellow curry was really watered down. I have been coming to this place for many years. I am so disappointed and mad. I was just there and whatever they were doing was so foul I ordered and left without paying. The plumbing company was there and instead of closing the restaurant, they stayed open, serving food! The plumbers proceeded to take trash bags full of what smelled like human waste out of the front door, right past me. I asked the gentleman server what was happening and he eluded it was not human waste but rotting food from somewhere in the kitchen and that "I asked if we should have closed but we did not." They came back through and I was so horrified and almost vomited. He then followed me and flipped the closed sign. There was another couple in there. I have no idea what they did. I have worked in restaurants for years. I have NEVER experienced anything like this. I'm so grossed out and angry. I have never written a bad review or walked out on a meal. The moment I tried the paid thai, instant piece of heaven in my mouth. Best pad thai I have had in a while. Rice was really good too and not dry. Generous portion and decent flavor on the main entries. The appetizer is a little plain and overpriced though. We were there at Friday night for dinner with friends, four adults and two kids in total. Lots of appetizers and entries were ordered and we shared the dishes with each other a little bit. Most entries were solid choices with nice flavor and big portion, but the appetizers were a little disappointed. We ordered Spring rolls and Gyoza for appetizer. The Gyoza was deep fried instead of pan fried, which seems unauthentic to me. Both flavors are OK, a little plain but not too bad. A little bite expensive for just 6 pieces though. I got the red curry duck and was impressed by it. The curry sauce have a great combination of sweet, spicy and sour, and the duck meat gives it a nice flavor, making it perfect with rice. If any complains, there could be more duck meat in the dish. However for a $10 dish, I couldn't ask more. Also tried Phad eggplant my wife order and it was pretty good, too. They pre-fried the eggplant first, so it tasted very soft and juicy, and not too greasy. Another well done dish. Though they don't have anything fancy, they do have great flavor food with good portion and reasonable price. I've been coming to this restaurant for 12 years now. They are consistent, maybe a bit Americanized but still really good. They have good & fast service which is appreciated! Their lunch portions are very big! enough for 2 lunches. If you are a hungry monster, you will be happy ordering their lunch combos, that's for sure! I recently tried the spicy noodle soup which comes with tofu, chicken and shrimp and that's my new thing... every day I am feeling under the weather, or when we've had too many rainy days in a row, I crave it. They have combo that you can order cashew nut chicken with rice and phad thai. The cashew chicken is really good, howerver the phad thai came with the rice is very plain. My friend really likes the Mogolian Beef there, that i haven't tried. I also really like their fried rice. Today I actually asked them to make it spicy. (3 stars). It was REALLY good. The place was almost empty at 9pm on Friday night - the only other couple wrapped up as we came on. We ordered crab Rangoon and swimming angel with scallops. Plus brown rice. The food was fine - veggies fresh and crunchy/not overcooked, peanut sauce very savory. I saw in another review a corny about sour water. I was looking for a place for lunch in Issaquah, so I naturally grabbed my phone and looked for Thai restaurants near me. That's when I found O'Char on Yelp, viewed the menu linked to their website and ordered two lunch specials (~$8.50 each) and Tom Kha soup ($~4.95). The total should've been $25, but when I showed up to pay for my food I was quoted $36. It turns out they display a lower price on their online menu, then charge a higher price when you get there. I brought this up to the lady, who couldn't care less about their mistake. So I paid the higher amount and brought it home to my wife. While the rice and Phad Thai were decent, the main dish (Chicken, Broccoli, Carrots) had a very fishy taste to the sauce, which it was absolutely swimming in. I could understand the pricing mistake, but the fishy-tasting chicken dish and the attitude of the server when I communicated the error deserve this low rating. read more

Went for a late lunch on Sunday, very convenient parking right outside. There were a few other tables but we were seated right away. It is a fairly small restaurant. We ordered a variety of food and it all came out pretty fast. The sample appetizer was so so, the spring rolls tasted kind of bland. It would be awesome if they had more than just two each of the three different appetizers. Makes it hard to share when you are with a group of people. The teriyaki chicken was really sweet. Would not order it again. We also had a combo 2 and combo 5 I believe. Both of the pad Thai tasted great :) especially if you mix it with some more hot sauce! We also ordered a spicy thai noodle (soupy) and a spicy chicken basil thai noodle (no soup). Both were requested to be on their very spicy level. The latter one tasted great and was super spicy! Perfect :) the soupy one had a mixture of sweet and spicy. The Thai teas tasted pretty good but was a little on the sweeter side for me. Overall the food is good and I would go back there.
