Can't say enough good things about this place!!! I've been coming here since it was at its old location in Gilman village. Their current location is much bigger and can accommodate their growing business and it's still quite convenient with public parking right around the corner. Dining in person and take out have both been fab. I love that they have dim sum all day. They used to do the carts but basically no one does that anymore. Instead, you order off a menu and they bring everything out fresh to you. We always order their pork shu mai, shrimp balls, baked bbq pork buns, potstickers, cilantro dumplings, sesame seed balls, egg tarts, and garlic green beans. But we've tried almost everything on their dim sum menu and it's all really good. We also usually get an order of mapo tofu or eggplant or beef chow fun off the regular menu too to supplement for a larger group. Service is excellent. We love the people who run this place. They are always super kind to our family and work really hard. They keep the hot tea coming and check in frequently. Not to mention the restaurant is always clean! Definitely come check out this place if you haven't already!

Back again for more dim sum and chow mein. Yum! Happy to go back for more than just dim sum. Attentive service as always, nice cold beer, very nice chive dumplings, spare ribs, siu mai, har gow and more. Glad to see it's consistently good!

Ambiance is good, a bit dated inside, and layout is decent. Plenty of tables to sit and they have small outdoor seating. Workers are great constantly checking on tables and working well together. Always in motion and very polite. Only down side to this place was the actual food. It won't blow you away it was more like fast food dim sum if that makes any sense. Nothing spectacular other than the servers.

Went here because we heard great reviews about the gluten free options. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is fantastic. Definitely one of our new favorites in town. The crispy lemon chicken is delicious.

First time trying this place. And love how they have an outdoor dinning area since we have our pup with us. Overall i would give this place a 4.5 Stars. What we ordered: * wonton soup 4/5 - the soup is great and tasty and the wonton is fattttt; almost feels like a whole siu mai. * Salt and pepper fish 4.5/5 - i believe this is a hong kong style? Either way; its great! Love the crispy garlic on top and the fish is delicious!!! * General Tso chicken 4.7/5 - This is really really good. Its not overly battered and the sauce is not overly sweet. I love eating General Tso chicken and this one is deffinitely one of the best ive had. Hopefully it will be consistenly good! * Siu mau and Har Gao 4/5 - your typical siu mai and har gau. Its good but not mind blowing good. I would eat them again; but will try their other dim sum first. Overall this is a great find. I will be back for sure and try theirother dishes since there are many interesting dishes in the menu and sounds really good. The staffs were super super friendly. They brought out hot tea and water right away and just super hospitable; love it. We will be back for sure!!

The food was tasty as always, for me the fried cod is a special treat! It's so hard for me to find fried fish not beer breaded!! I made a mistake when I ordered, when I mentioned it she quickly took the plate away, and brought me a new plate! We always enjoy our time at Macky's. The music is always at a great level, and the overall decor and ambience is quite nice! I strongly recommend this place for ur fun night out!

I can't remember the last time I've had someone step outside to explain the menu and sold me to be invited inside. I've been waiting to come here for a while, but I personally have a prejudice against any Eastside place that offers dim sum (and Viet food) vs Seattle's ID. Although prices are a bit higher per dish, the portions were adequate and hit the spot for a craving. The har gow, sticky fried rice and taro pork dumpling were the best IMO. Luckily they had the full menu available for a weekday (holiday - July 4th) too. Service was friendly and inviting, with a touch of a classic dim sum experience (aunty walking around trying to sell dishes to tables).

We arrived a little bit close to closing and we had originally wanted to dine outside but there seems to be some construction going on. As we entered, the restaurant was gorgeous with soft piano covers of different classic songs. They had a beautiful fish tank in the corner of the restaurant. All tables had a soy sauce container, chili oil container, and sugar. We were greeted by a male waiter who directed us to our table with menus. He brought us waters and gave us ample time to look over the extensive menu. We decided to get the dinner for two as it came with dim sum which was I mainly wanted and we also got their hot tea, broccoli beef, Szechuan seafood, pork fried rice, and a large egg flower soup. The hot tea was very comforting and the perfect accompaniment with the food coming. We received our soup first and the waiter was kind enough to scoop out our portions which I thought was hospitable. The egg drop soup was seasoned well but I love spicy chili oil in my egg drop soup for that extra kick. We received our dim sum next and it was piping out, so be careful cause I burned my mouth a lot but it was so worth it. The dim sum was huge and full of flavor. We then received our entrees and it looked so delicious. My boyfriend was raving about the beef being some of the tender beefs he has ever had in his life and I'm inclined to agree. It just melts in your mouth! I liked the flavors of my dish but the vegetables were pretty tough and it was making my teeth sore. The choices of seafood options were tasty but it was hard to enjoy the vegetables which some of them I had to leave leftovers of. The fried rice was delicious too, the wok hei taste was very present and the BBQ pork was excellent. The service was attentive and they checked in on us to take plates away, to see if we needed anything else, or if we needed refills.

Had a craving for Hong Kong style crispy chow mein. Unfortunately, I haven't found any really good Cantonese Restaurants on the Eastside yet. Very slim pickings. Didn't want to drive into Seattle today just for noodles, so we decided to go to a local Chinese restaurant in Issaquah. We chose Mackeys. Luckily we found parking and there wasn't any wait time for a table. We ordered the Seafood crispy chow mein and it satisfied my craving. The seafood & baby Shanghai bok Choy was fresh and tasty. Tried to order the taro puffs, but they were sold out. So we ordered a dim sum Sparerib dish. Service was good

Ask the Community - Macky's Dim Sum

Do they have dim sum on weekdays or just weekends Sat and Sun?

You can actually order from the menu ANYTIME!! Dim sum carts are there for weekend lunch. But if you make it after it ends, you can still order them. Smaller menu. But still there.

    Do they serve alcohol drink?

They have a full bar (2/11/23)

Does Macky's Dim Sum have outdoor dining available in their new location?

Yes, just outside their front door. Limited seatings.

Is dim sum available all day? I see they have a regular menu and a dim sum menu?

Yes, but no longer the from the dim sum carts , you'll need to order them from the menu just like regular items.

Which is the correct address? Issaquah or Sunset? Thanks.

    It's in Issaquah on Sunset.

Will they take a take out order?

Yes they do. I have gotten takeout from Macky's many times in the past.

Why did Macky's close? Went there today and they are gone! There is nothing inside!

They moved to a new location several months back. They are on Sunset/ Front Street across from the shell

However, when both service and food exceed expectations, a restaurant becomes an industry benchmark. Service: The service here was truly, exceptionally outstanding. A friend brought me here today--he had only been to this restaurant once before--yet every single staff member remembered him, and even remembered what he had ordered last time! They were genuinely thrilled to see him return. The pacing of the dishes and the check-ins during the meal were both spot-on. Ambiance: A classic Cantonese restaurant atmosphere--full of character, dignified, and rich with Chinese design elements. The seating is comfortable, the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the management is clearly top-notch. Food: Great value for money, with very reasonable pricing. The fried rice was loaded with rich ingredients and seasoned to absolute perfection. The seafood tofu was mild in flavor and made with fresh ingredients--perfect for children. The green beans were fresh and had just the right level of spice. As one of China's Eight Great Culinary Traditions, Cantonese cuisine is defined by its freshness: fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, and fresh execution. Preparing Cantonese food is far more trouble than people realize; because of the complex preparation, strict standards for ingredients, and a low yield rate, true quality is hard to achieve. Since this restaurant is run entirely by a team of Cantonese chefs, I believe it is ultimately their passion that drives their success.

We ordered shrimp rice roll, har gow, football, shrimp with eggplant, shrimp with bell pepper, spare rib, Xiao long bao, sautéed pea tips, chicken feet, meatballs, shrimp and chive dumplings, tripe, and mango pudding. I really liked the filling in the football, which contained ground pork and mushrooms, not so much the flour for the outer layer. I also liked the tripe, pea tips, and chicken feet. They were delectable. Other than that, it seemed a bit plain. I didn't really like the chili oil they used, it was more like a sambal. I'm glad we ended with the mango pudding for dessert. The mold for it was so cute. Hopefully next time I come here they change up the chili used.

My friend and I decided to check out Lee's Kitchen when we got off the Overlake Station on the 2 Line, and I kid you not, we waited over an hour for our food. Lee's Kitchen is located in a business strip close to Microsoft, walking distance from the Overlake Station. There are plenty of places to eat around here and you should eat at those places if you're on a lunch break and need to get back to work because Lee's Kitchen is really on their own schedule. No shits given. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon around lunch time and were the only ones dining in for most of the time we were here. Most of the tables had not been cleared, so they must've had a rush of people before we visited. There's a QR code at the table where you can order and pay for your food. I ordered the braised pork belly with rice and shared the rice noodle roll with shrimp and beef with my friend. He ordered the wonton noodle soup, which took over an hour to get. My meal came out first and then eventually the rice noodle roll dish came. And then half an hour later after sitting there, the server comes by and tells my friend they ran out of bamboo noodles, which is what he requested for his dish. Over half an hour later, he received his food. Was it worth the wait? No. Sadly, I can't recommend Lee's Kitchen especially with how many more fantastic Chinese restaurants there are nearby. Service is lackluster with food that does not impress or would have me visit again. Not for me and it shouldn't be for anyone on a schedule.
