My husband and I went for the first time last night November 16th. We were seated by the GM Greg he couldn't be more friendly. Our waitress was Josephine she is top notch she didn't miss a beat and extremely friendly. Greg you are doing a fantastic job in areas of cleanliness, atmosphere, service and the food is excellent my husband and I have been to many restaurants they simply don't compare to our experience at O'Charley's. I walk in the door, after first calling the boardman location "do you have prime rib today?" before driving all the way out here, and asking The girl at the door "do you have prime rib today?" Just to double check. Which to be honest I shouldn't of had to as the person on the phone said they had it. I get to the restaurant driving over 20 miles from Lake Milton and they say "oh no we don't have prime rib, you sure you didn't call Niles?" yeah I'm pretty sure I didn't call Niles and I so liked this place up until this very moment... GD it, O'Charley's is weekend prime rib how could they mess that up? A two is pretty bad. I'll change it when they get prime rib back in the menu on weekends. read more

Food was not very good. We were warned and ahead of time about their food and figured we would go anyway. Bad mistake. Service was ok, we sat in the bar, why doesn't your restaurant have a cocktail menu???? They said they got rid of it due to covid..that was 2+ years ago. The crowd was older, the restaurant was not young. I would rather pay more money for a fun atmosphere, actual bourbon and whiskey.. the selection there is pitiful. This is a solid casual dining restaurant. The menu is large and offers lots of options. The price range is fairly inexpensive to moderate and portions are good. The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star review is because the food was just regular, nothing special. The restaurant offers Happy Hour Monday through Friday and daily specials which are totally worth it. During this visit I was with a large party and would really like to comment on the fantastic service we received from our waiter, Zack. Although the food was pretty average Zack's professionalism was stellar! It is not every day that a server can handle a large party of 12 on their own. He did so with a cool confidence that made it look easy. Just due to the size of our group, he had to make extra trips for drink refills, extra napkins, to-go boxes, etc. Zack did so and with a smile. By the end of our meal, he had earned several thank yous and a round of applause from the table. read more

I didn't expect much from this place based on some reviews, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The food was absolutely delicious, and my partner and I were extremely impressed. The atmosphere is calm and warm; absolutely pleasant experience. Our server, Matt, was the best server I have ever had, genuinely cared about us and was a hard worker, also extremely easy to talk to. My husband and I had the most amazing meal here a few weeks ago. Not only was the food outstanding our server, I think her name was Maria, was the best I have had EVER!!! She was even more amazing than those restaurants that you pay $100 per plate!!! I ordered a jalapeno margarita that was supposed to have salt on the rim. She immediately took it back and got me a new one. Then, my husband ordered the soup she recommended as an appetizer. He did not finish it all and asked if he could take it to go. She said, "I'll get you a new one to take with you" Then our entrees came out, my husband's was perfect, but my steak that I ordered rare, came out medium rare. No big deal, I am actually used to restaurants over cooking my steak, and I will eat it anyways. Our server asked me to cut into it, I did and I said it was fine....she said, "I don't like the way that looks, it's not rare. I'm getting you a new one and you can just take that one home." I was brought out a whole new steak cooked the way I like it. We will definitely be going back and asking for Maria next time!!! read more

I absolutely love the Boardman O'Charley's! We have been here several times in the last year and have always received exceptional customer service! We are always greeted with a friendly welcome when we come in to the restaurant. After being seated, they promptly serve complimentary rolls that are beyond amazing. My favorite appetizers here are the Soft pretzel Sticks, Twisted Chips, and Spicy Jack Cheese Wedges. I typically order the Chicken Quesadilla for my entree. We also enjoy the Cheddar Bacon Potato Soup. O'Charley's gives you good portions, and everything is delicious here! The prices are affordable, and they always have coupons and deals going on. The customer service is incredible! We have always received such wonderful service here, and they consistently go above and beyond the service of most restaurants. Last time we were here, our server, Maria, was phenomenal! The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a fun atmosphere and design! I 100% recommend O'Charley's! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat before a concert we attended in the area, we seen a good amount of cars here and decided to try it. Other than the hostess at the front with the attitude because she had to get off her phone and seat us....everything was great! We got two appetizers because they were half off (we went on a sunday) we got the chips and queso and the chicken fingers. The chips were awesome, very thinly sliced and fried golden brown...i couldn't stop eating them. I got the steak and crab cake for dinner...if you eat here you MUST get the crab cakes, they are so plump, a lot of crab meat and they are delicious, after trying that i didn't even want the steak i could have ordered just a plate of the crab cakes! We did order margarita's and you couldn't taste one drop of alcohol, that would be the only complaint about the meal, but for the price it wasn't a big deal. If we are ever in the area we will eat here again. read more

Went there this evening for dinner. After our waitress brought our food, she never returned. Had to ask for someone to get our sales after 15 minutes. She came after about 5 more minutes. We never got our drinks refilled.... I asked for my broccoli to be well done, it was not. By the time she replaced it, we were done eating. No longer needed it! Asked for a manager on the way out. Here acted like I was bothering him. He could have cared less what I was saying. Even when I told him we would never come back. I guess they have enough business, they don't need mine! Some of the worst service I have ever had. And I'd give them the benefit of the doubt but I was warned the service wasn't good here. I am visiting from Florida, used to live up here and liked it then. Though for whatever reason I don't remember the maze-like pattern to the restooms... I'm not sure what the hell has happened. Took forever and like 3 different people before we got drinks, Badly Mixed up order, steak not done right, ribs wrong so they kept our steak under heat till the ribs were done. They Forgot my salad, forgot my mushrooms, really lumpy mashed potatoes, didn't get a refill on my drink until my meal was almost over after she took my glass, (she said another waitress took my drink and thought they brought it out to me)... just a ridiculous spread all over the table. Horrible presentation. Commotion everywhere, heard plates breaking; and the restaurant wasn't even close to half full. No waiting on a Saturday night! Prime rib with two sides, Panko shrimp...what's not to like! Obnoxious kids in the neighboring booth were the only bad part of a wonderful dinner, but they soon left us in peace. The baked potato with salt on the skin was cooked just right as was the prime rib. Great service and beverage refills added to the pleasant dinner experience. We went for the first time today and it was spectacular. Our service was great. Our food was amazing. We went on a Sunday so our daughters meal was free and apps were half off. $5 long islands and bloody Mary's! O'Charleys is one of the very few chain restaurants I enjoy. This is my go to spot for lunch with my grandparents. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We always get seated right away and service is almost always great. I enjoy the menu there's quite a few different options that are full of flavor that a lot of chain restaurants seem to lack. I love their California chicken salad and the pecan chicken salad. The cheeseburger is another option you can't go wrong with! Safe but really good! Go on free pie Wednesdays and you get a great dessert to enjoy there or take home. This place is best for lunch or dinner with your family more so than a place for a date or meeting with friends. read more

I ate at the location in South Carolina years ago and loved it. I talked it up to my wife and we decided to drive on our anniversary from Pittsburgh to Boardman , Ohio(65 miles). The place is nice, in a cool upscale area.The hostess and waitress and later the cook were all very very nice. I ordered a $23 16oz steak and my wife ordered the Steak and ribs. Her ribs were bland, not at all southern or spicy or flavorful. My steak was supposed to be med well done, it was a little past medium rare. I hate to be that guy who sends food back but for $23 I expected a lot more. They offered a new steak or to finish cooking this one. I had them throw this one back in a while(should have got another). Like I said, everyone was really nice and I felt bad being the complainer. But I and my wife were not impressed. The bill was $75 , we got 2 steaks , appetizers and 2 drinks. For that much , I expected a few notches above Ponderosa.. nope. I think I will try a local steak house next time. read more

The worst service I have ever experienced. Only a few tables (very small amount of people) and it took forever to be waited on, even longer to get our food, and even LONGER to get the bill. Waitress forgot multiple things during our dining experience and had a very poor attitude on top of that. Very short and snippy. I've always thought highly on this restaurant chain but would be surprised if I ever went back to any of these restaurants, and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone, ever.
