    Kare kare with lechon kawali
    Joel E.

Wow, yo! Where do I start? Was out riding our Harleys with friends and we ended up in Amish country (from Cleveland). Then one said "I'm hungry. Let's find a place to eat!" Never having been to Danalynn's before, but have been wanting to try, this was the perfect opportunity. I immediately said "there's this Filipino restaurant about 30 mins. from here we that can go to." All agreed. And, boy, am I glad!!! We walked in and it was a pretty big, open space with plenty of tables - big enough for a party or small banquet. Nothing fancy, but very welcoming. We were immediately greeted by Analynn herself as she showed us to our table. She then sent Dan over to take our orders. We ordered the kare kare (peanut stew) with lechon kawali (crispy pork belly), sizzling pork adobo, beef bulalo (bone marrow soup), and pansit to share. The food arrives and Analyn's presentation is magnificent! [If looks could be tasted]. Time to eat! WOW!!! The kare kare was flavorful; the peanut sauce with perfect consistency; the vegetables cooked perfectly and placed on top; the lechon kawali perfectly crispy! The sizzling pork adobo was no adobo I've ever had before. I usually like mine wet... with sabaw (sauce), but this version of Annalyn's was amazing! And the bulalo... the flavors of umami punches your tastebuds with the first sip!!! By gosh... this is some of the best Filipino food I have had ANYWHERE, but especially in NEO!!! Looking forward to trying their buffet - 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month! And of course, there's a ton more on their menu that we will be back for. A three hour roundtrip for this culinary gem is definitely worth the while! If you're a fan of the cuisine, pro tip: DO NOT miss Dannalynn's!!!

    Shrimp Curry

It's my first time trying Filipino food and what an overall great experience. The charming gentleman playing the music asked for the music we wanted to hear. I chose jazz and it went well with the chicken adobo and shrimp curry. It took a bit of time to cook, since it was not prepared and frozen before hand. I appreciate a home cooked meal. Yum. Yum. Yum. I hate to let others know about this great tasting food place, because I know once the word is out lots of others will soon follow. I will surely be back and try some other tasty dish.

Buffet is 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month

They have a buffet the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month so we went to try as much of their menu as we could. We found everything to be quite enjoyable. I was particularly fond of the curry, the sweet and sour chicken, and the flan. Their flan might have been the best I've ever had.

Brought my mom today for an early mother's day lunch, we drove from Pittsburgh since there are no legit Filipino restaurants around there. We had the buffet, and my mom said it's just like home! We enjoyed all the dishes especially the karekare, my mom loved the sweet & sour shrimp, while my kiddo enjoyed the lumpia and palabok. My husband is vegan and when i asked if he can have anything even in ala carte, they didn't hesitate to cook him something from scratch. They made him pansit with veggies. This is really appreciated! The service is great, the food kept being refilled and lots of Filipinos and nonFilipinos seem to enjoy the buffet. Our drive is worth it and will definitely be back.

Taste is such a strong memory, and their chicken adobo took me immediately back to 2016 when I was traveling through Palawan in the Philippines. We don't have many real Asian food options where we live, so this was a great stop. Total mom and pop, which is EXACTLY what we wanted. Loved it. Give it a shot!

The broth that comes with it was great. The bok choy was cooked perfectly, and the noodles are soft as well. The beef was very tender and complements the contents of the dish. The BBQ chicken skewers were not that great. But still, the texture and char on the chicken was pretty good. I would recommend stopping here if you're in the area and want to try Filipino food.

I have yet to visit the restaurant, so this review is for the food truck. I first discovered the food truck at the Beachwood Truck Park (now closed). I then rediscovered the food truck during the World on Stage Concert at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens this weekend. Both memorable food experiences! Food: My order during the latest visit included Chicken Tocino ($17) and Ube Cheesecake Cookie ($5). I felt like the food was much tastier the second time around. Chicken Tocino included generous serving of meat and was perfectly marinated. The dish was so plentiful with egg, meat, rice, and marinated veggies. I ate with my eyes closed! Ube Cookie always satisfies my soul. It had a good amount of Ube, was sweet, and delicious. If I wasn't already very full, I'd go for seconds. Almost forgot, you get a buzzer/pager that rings when your food is ready. It's a great idea for large scale events and venues where the truck might be. Service: Everyone working the food truck was nice. Asked me about my meal, wished me a pleasant meal, and provided me with to go bag for my leftovers. Interactions were very warm and friendly. Find the food truck: Street Food Finder site will allow you to find their food truck locations. You can mostly find them at Lakewood Truck Park. By the way, cash is the preferred payment method. Credit cards are accepted. I look forward to visiting the restaurant and further exploring all the menu. I also want to see if the brick and mortar location also has cute palm vibes like the food truck. I'll certainly catch Parilya food truck around the town too!
