Stopped in today and thoroughly enjoyed their Bacon & Bleu salad. It had red onions, bacon, blue cheese, and cinnamon sugar pecan pieces with a wonderful vinaigrette. What really sets this place apart from everyone else in the area, and I mean EVERYONE, is the absolute quality of their ingredients. Often times I feel guilty ordering a salad out, because I can make one at home, but this one, you just can't buy the quality of ingredients they use. I've never seen more perfect lettuce in my life. I could eat all the blue cheese they have in the building. So amazing. I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. The food quality is good. They do not close the wraps. It's a pain /mess to eat them. Going to be awhile before coming back.

Eight of us went to the restaurant. There was no one in the restaurant at 11:30. I went up and asked if we could put two tables together to accommodate all of us. I was told that we were unable to do that, so we all left. They will never see any of us again. This is some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. ‍‍ It's so fresh, and the chicken is so flavorful! I got the pesto wrap, it was bursting at the seems with fresh lettuce. The pesto/peanut sauce is AMAZING. I also got a cookie-BEST COOKIE I HAVE EVER EATEN. You can see into the kitchen and it is so clean!!! The service was IMPECCABLE. They have these cute little tables out front to sit and eat at. My friend and I shoved our faces full and between full bites could not stop saying "this is so delicious", or "so fresh!", or my favorite was "if I had 100K I would invest in her business" or even "I could write a whole romance novel about this lunch". Excellent....just excellent. Salads and wraps galore all of which had fresh ingredients and are made to order. I sampled a few of their salads with the first being the Tuscan salad which had chicken, mozzarella, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries and their homemade garlic and lemon vinaigrette. I also tried the Cinnamon Harvest which is chopped apples, roasted walnuts, bacon, bleu cheese with a cinnamon sugar vinaigrette over greens. Like I mentioned earlier, every ingredient is so fresh and the house made vinaigrettes are simply delicious. The Cinnamon Harvest salad was like dessert which was a deliciously pleasant surprise. After sampling these salads, I finished it off with a Caprese slider which is topped with turkey, black forest ham, mozzarella and baby Swiss baked on a Hawaiian sweet rolls. Ummmm-yeah! Delicious! I love love love Sweet Melissa's! My mom knows Melissa, so she was eager for my sisters and I to try it out. We had catered boxed lunches for my sister's bridal shower last august, and everyone raved about the food. I ate inside once (quite awhile ago), but this review is for May 10. Sweet Melissa's is only open for take out right now. We ordered online and chose a time for pickup, and the whole process is very easy and organized. We all ordered the same thing, the Tuscan Chicken salad. I am definitely not a salad person, but I have no idea what is in this salad, because I am absolutely obsessed!!! It's a combo of romaine, mozzarella cheese, craisins, sunflower seeds, and grilled chicken. The dressing is their garlic lemon vinaigrette. The portion is HUGE! We ordered two salads for three of us to split and there were enough leftovers for two more portions. We did order two extra dressings - totally worth the upcharge. I've already asked my mom to ship some of that dressing out to Arizona (they sell bottles of their dressing!) for my birthday so I can have it at home ;) Highly recommend!!! We order the same salad and the last 5 times (yes, we are gluttons for punishment) we got it, the lettuce was so soggy it was inedible. Call us hopeful, but the flavors are so good we kept trying. What a gem in town! Driving through and found this place online as a town favorite. The owner works just as hard as anyone else in the restaurant and even greeted us herself when she found out we were from out of town. The bacon and bleu salad was to die for. The grilled cheese is really just a cheese quesadilla and was nothing special. As a heads up, they do not have a soda tap either, so all beverages are sold in cans/bottles. Conveniently located just South of Akron Children's Hospital- Boardman Campus, it's I nice place to pop in for lunch and decompress. No gluten free menu, per se, but all salads except the Thai Chicken are GF. Would be nice to have a bit more variety (kale, roasted veggies, salmon) but I would definitely come back.
