First to start we had a huge group (around 20). You cant expect great service when you get a huge group coming in, but, our waiter did an extremely good job with taking our orders, figuring out food, etc. That's why this place even earned 2 stars. Adding to this, we've been here for 1 hour waiting on our food with no one else in the restaurant. When our food finally comes out, it is cold, majorly overcooked, and I'm pretty sure they dropped the seasoning bottles on the top of the steak by accident, our steak was drowning in burnt seasoning. Putting the cherry on top, I asked for medium-rare, should've just asked for leather...probably would've been equivalent. Clean restaurant, good environment, horrible food. read more

We ordered curbside and texted we was there. They texted they would be right out. They never came, texted, or called. We had to go in to get it. Which the injured veterans and almost all disabled parking was took up by their landscaper, they let block everyone. By then the food was cold and ice melted completely. Got home and the food was mid at best. Salad had one slice of sad cucumber and tomato. The cobbler was more crust than anything and that was in the doughy side. The ribs was ok, but not much meat and bit chewy. Sauce was really good though. The mash was very good as well. Really? Five stars for a O'Charley? Yes. Not because of the food, although for a chain it was really pretty decent. Hot and fast. It is for the service. First of all, the manager greeted me, super friendly, when I asked where the restroom was he actually walked me in the direction and showed me. What is this- the Four Seasons? I asked to sit at the bar and he told me the bartender, Stephanie, would be taking care of me. Stephanie the bartender was super friendly and efficient. She checked in several times to see if I needed anything and it really seemed like she enjoyed working there. As a matter fact, everyone seemed like they enjoyed working there. That is a sign of good management which is rare at a restaurant these days especially after Covid. Hats off to the team here at O'Charleys. While the salmon and the rest of my meal wise done well, the service is definitely what would bring me back here. What was supposed to be a quick bite on a long drive, turned out to be a great experience. Over half of our pickles were still doughy because they were stacked. Fries were scolding but mushy so seems they were either microwaved or been sitting under a heat lamp. Had a handful of people in there and our waitress only "checked" on us to give us the check. The establishment itself is also so dirty. Stuff all over the walls and baseboards. Thick dust and dirt on the wallpaper boarder. Imagine what the kitchen looks like. burger-Burnt on one side & the patty itself was half the size of the bun. We stopped in for our first visit to O'Charley's the other day. I'm a vegetarian, so there wasn't much on the menu for people like me. However, the waitress was very kind, and she designed a custom sandwich just for me, even though it wasn't on the menu. I'm very impressed, because most places won't do that, and get annoyed when you try to order something not on their menu. Or will act annoyed or put out of their way. Our food took about 30 minutes to prepare, but was worth the wait. It was fresh, good quality, and tasted great. And the prices were reasonable too. I would definitely recommend O'Charley's of Danville. They care about their customers. PS For all you meat lovers out there... My boyfriend and I went one night looking for a nice meal. The best thing we had were the roles. My boyfriends pasta had a clump of hair it in, and my steak & potato's were mediocre at best. We told our waitress about the hair & she told the manager who took that dish off our bill, but it was still expensive for such poor quality. I gave a 3 because of Covid, but it isn't because of the food as much as it is the condition of the restaurant. I believe it is time for a remodel. The carpet is old and dirty and looks like it needs repair in some places. The women's bathroom needs a lot of attention. The door is hard to push open and get out. The floors were filthy and one toilet was leaking from the bottom, making the floor in that stall wet and dirty. The soap dispenser was coming apart. There was a row of track lighting above our table nit on-nit sure if it wasn't working or they chose nit to have it turned on. It just didn't have a clean feel, and now, more than ever, you want to be in a clean environment. I did overhear a waitress saying they were short a person, but she was a good server for us and doing a great job picking up the slack. My husband ordered a 6 oz. sirloin he wanted medium and it was served done. My French dip was just OK, but all the food seemed a little salty. I won't go back. We love O'Charley's! For a chain restaurant, I think it's one of my favorites! Kids eat free, free pies on Wednesday, brunch until 2pm on Sundays.. I mean they get it right! I've only really had one bad experience at this location in Danville. It was a couple of years ago, I was pregnant and got a very raw thick cut pork chop. Needless to say, it freaked me out, but luckily I didn't get sick and the manager was excellent about correcting the issue. Typically, the food is great as well as the service. I highly recommend the frozen strawberry lemonade pie on free pie Wednesday (or any day you want pie). I hope they never get rid of that flavor! I'm telling you, it's what dreams are made of! Hubby and I love that we can sneak away from the kids on Sunday and have a grown up brunch with mimosas, a Baileys and coffee, or Bloody Mary! read more

Amazing. I had a rather unpleasant and unfortunate experience here on the evening of Jun 8 2023. After giving it much consideration I elected to write about my friend and my experience which included giving this location only a 2 star rating. Now here is where the amazing part comes in. A couple of days later I received a reply back from one of the General managers at the home office requesting for my contact information so that they could do a follow up, (If I would be interested). I provided requested information then went on about by day. The next day I actually received a phone call from the General manager of this specific location. We had a very pleasant exchange which included him asking what they could do to make things right and to make me be a return customer there and giving them another chance. In this day and time of people, (including businesses) not carrying much about others feelings, them going to this level of caring was greatly appreciated and extremely admirable. Due to this alone, I felt it my duty to come back and share the rest of the story. So "if" you should have an unpleasant experience here or anywhere try reaching out to them through a review or in person. You may get pleasantly surprised as I was, (and at least from this business I am sure that you will). Because of them going the extra mile I will certain give these guys another chance. The food was fantastic today. Everything was fresh, hot and cooked just how I asked but what I was most impressed with was the service. Not only to myself but to sit and overhear my server Tiffany's interaction with other tables. I have served for years and I'd say she's one of the best with customers. Food was terrible today at around 2:45-3:00. It was brought out about 2 minutes after I ordered it, so I know it was laying on the line. Baked potato was cold. Chicken burnt on the outside and gummy when I bit into it. I hadn't eaten all day and ate what I could. Waitress didn't even ask what I wanted to drink. The host had to get the drink. Slow and inattentive service followed by inedible food. The catfish was awful. I might as well take a spoon and the salt shaker. I can't review the side dishes as I didn't try them. My friend ordered steak cooked medium and was served a cold raw piece of fatty meat. It was so underdone it was blue! We had to wait way too long for this mess. Went back again for lunch. Had the CHICKEN (not children) tortilla soup. The manager suggested to try some sour cream in the soup. It makes it better, takes away some of the spice heat. (I'm a wimp when it comes to spices. Also had the cobbler for desert. A combo of peach and blackberry. Haven't had any cobbler for a while so they tasted real good. Only problem was, too much to eat. We went to O'Charlies last week since its been awhile since visiting there. I ordered Tortilla soup which they had no tortilla slices (chips). That was the beginning of my disappointment. I also ordered New Orleans Chicken Pasta which had a weak terrible flavor and cold. I sent both dishes back to be heated-up but that didn't help. O'Charley's now has competition with the Cheddar's that opened up in Danville but it is still a good spot if you're looking for a place to eat. They bring out hot rolls in the beginning, a lot like the rolls they have at Raffertys in Lexington. Our service is always good, they have exceptional desserts as well! They almost always have coupon offers so if you didn't have time to cut one at they'll usually approve it just by your word. The coupons are generally 20% off. read more

In town for a lacrosse game. They handled seating a team of 40 college men, along with parents, on a Saturday night in which they were already slammed. I must admit, when hubby and I heard this is where we were gong fur dinner, we were less then enthused. There was an O Charleys by us in Micgigan, (which has subsequently closed), which was less then eventful. Well, this O'Charleys sure proved us wrong. Despite being absolutely slammed, the food was very well served, cooked, and presented. Son had steak, cooked perfectly, I had salmon, again cooked perfectly. I really hate over cooked fish. They got it right. The only odd thing was they seated the 40 in groups of 4, interspersed between other customers. Now, we did call ahead and reserve, didn't just show up. While I understand this is to keep the other customers moving, I really believed this ultimately slowed things down for all guests. In addition to our taking a very long time to seat 4 tables of 10, what happens is the tables seated first have to sit and wait for the 10th table to eat. They have to leave together in the bus. It delayed table clearing, and leaves a dead table for the server. These guys can't drink alcohol, so the table tab stays lower. If I were them, I section off an area and seat then at once, serve then, and get then out. But just a thought. Otherwise, I would certainly recommend this location. Great staff, great kitchen! Celebrating a house closing and a birthday, we decided to go for a good steak at a place we don't eat often. This O'Charley's is usually packed, and frankly I don't like waiting. But tonight it was not, and we breezed right in. We started with drinks which were good and served promptly by our server, Amber. On to the salad which was not mostly bland iceberg lettuce, but rather a variety of greens. Excellent. We then ordered the steaks -- my friend ordered rib eye and I ordered filet mignon. Both were the same price as the rib eye was HUGE. We both agreed that those were the best steaks we had ordered in a very long time. As it was his birthday, Amber said he could get a free slice of pie, so he did. The pecan pie was not extraordinary, but frankly ALL pecan pie is wonderful. The food, the atmosphere (not too crowded at all, so not too noisy), the server (Thanks, Amber!), all made for a very pleasant and fulfilling meal, for which I complemented the manager. read more

At first we were hesitant to eat at here. I have been to an O'charley's in WI and really did not care for the food and atmosphere. The other members of our party decided on this establishment. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy. We were told 20 minute wait. It was only about ten. In the meantime we went to the bar for drinks. Low and behold it was happy hours. Buy one get one free for drafts and well drinks. We had one at the bar and they honored our second drinks after we were seated. The steaks were flavorful and juicy. I also had the salmon. Salmon was just ok. It tasted slightly fishy, but I am picky about fish. The dinner salads were better than "ordinary" as the previous yelper described. The restaurant itself could have been larger. The bar was small with at least three tv's. read more
