The menu at this place has changed so much ! I could barely find anything that actually fit my fancy - I came for the potato soup and that didn't disappoint ! This restaurant is dangerous! Six of us sat at a table, but we were only given 5 rolls. We repeatedly asked for more but did not receive them. We were literally the only party in the restaurant. Both ketchup bottles were empty. 3 of us ordered steaks and they were RANCID! The steaks were gray and had a strong, foul odor. One steak was still raw in the middle. Our server agreed they appeared "off." She also stated they don't fry their steaks but thaw them then cook them on a conveyor belt. A manager addressed our concern and said she spoke to their GM who was onsite but never came out to meet with us. She relayed the message that he said the steaks were "fresh frozen." Our server disappeared and a manager oversaw our table for the remainder of our time there. She was great but we decided not to reorder any food. Ate here for the first time in years. Came here for the prime rib special (weekends only) We shared the spinach artichoke appetizer.I had prime rib and wife had the chicken and ribs combo. The premium sides are listed as a dollar more than regular sides, but for some reason it is a $2.49 upcharge to substitute a premium side (hmmmm) The rolls are a little different than they used to be. The last few years the loaded potato soup has been complete trash! I'm not sure what happened here, but one day it was perfect, and then then a few weeks later it had turned into some kind of weird, orange tinted, watered down, overly salty but yet extremely bland, hardened french fry potato chunked... stuff? I assume since they're most loved for their potato soup and rolls (which doesn't rack up a high bill on its own) they decided to trash the soup intentionally in order to drive their customer base away from the low priced and/or complimentary items, and over toward the higher priced entrees and what not in order to make a steeper profit? That's the only explanation that makes sense, especially when they refuse to address this issue on their own to the public. The hardest pill to swallow here though, is that (even if you DO order their higher priced entrees, as we have always done in combination with the soup and rolls) the service does NOT meet the expectations of the price you spend with them, which causes the food you receive to come out cold, under or over cooked, or to not even arrive to your table at all! They're mostly concerned with hanging out in the kitchen and expressing their personal issues while leaving customers to wait, or out back smoking because they seem to come back to you (eventually) wreaking of cigarettes or weed, it's a gamble of which one will be stinking up the atmosphere when they come back to your table, if they ever do, that is. The restaurant itself could use some attention all around, but when speaking presentation wise on appearance it isn't in as bad of a condition as the potato soup (or food in general) or service is, so we'll leave that one alone. And another thing, if you order more rolls on a To-Go order than you're already expecting to receive compliment wise with your entree, make sure that you simply do not expect to receive them. You'll only get what you pay for at that point! Do better guys Most importantly, PLEASE do better on the soup and condition of food overall!!!! You've lost some incredibly high spenders here (with a family of 5 that ALL order soup AND entrees AND dessert with every visit!) based off of your dismissal of the soups value in and of itself! Walked in around 5:30pm on a Sunday. Roughly 10 or less cars in the parking lot. Not busy at all. No host/hostess at the front counter. No customers at the bar. After standing there for 5 min or so, the bartender finally asks how many and then says he'll be back. Not sure why, but ok. Waited another few min and he never came back. My friend and I didn't want to take the chance of receiving more slow service so we headed to the Dos Amigos right next store and were seated immediately. Food to the table within 10-15 min and everything was hot and enjoyable. O'Charley's seems to be on a decline after reading other reviews. Won't be back. read more

The staff is out of this world. Went there last night and they made every effort to accommodate 4 adults and two children (one in a high chair) comfortably. The manager/hostess and the young man working with her were super friendly from the jump, and our server Nicole was friendly and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire meal. I really should have rated this 3 stars but I'm giving 4 because the bread was the BOMB! You all know I really don't like when customer service is poor, and tonight at O'Charley's I felt like an after thought. My food was just alright. I got the chicken tenders and fries, and they were just ok. My chicken was hot and was fresh, but my fries were cold. I'm never the one to send anything back to the kitchen (as I watched "Waiting" as a kid) I am afraid of what anyone may do to my plate. However I am truly addicted soda and I had to ask several times for a refill and I may be a little uppity but I expect my waiter to see that I am in need of a refill. I also had a bowl of the potato soup and I was even disappointed by that, the potatoes were still very firm and tasted like they could have been cooked a little longer. Overall the best part of the evening was the BREAAAADDD!!! I love the rolls and I know these are probably pre-made but I loved them and they were extremely warm! This used to be my favorite restaurant and the past 3 times I've came it's been terrible. I thought I would give them another try tonight. I ordered the Louisiana Sirloin like always & whenever I took a bite I knew immediately something was wrong with it, so I made someone else at the table try it inedible. Really messed up staff and management. My order came to twenty nine dollars and some change . I gave her $30 initially but gave her another $20 so I could give her a tip. So out of $50 she only gave me $2 change . After arguing with her and calling the manager I got the correct change and still tipped her well in front of the manager . I get home and my order is totally wrong . I go all the way back to the restaurant and now the manager tells me I only orders one meal instead of two. this was my return trip to this location. The last time i spoke with the manager he requested that i would make a third trip and let him know what i thought... well here is we arrived at the store and was promptly seated, the waiter came over grabbed our drink order and promptly returned. When he returned we placed our order and everything was brought out accordingly. My dish was excellent, warm, good flavor and not to overly cooked. However the party i was with ordered a total of 5 potato soups and 4 of the 5 tasted like pure cheese sauce. The waiter did apologize and offered to get them a new soup, or a different dish since two of the party members ordered that as their dish. The main reason i have them 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is we had to wait a little bit for the replacement dishes to come out and those two party members mentioned they felt it was over cooked. Almost like it was prep'd in a hurry, which i can understand. But honestly the meal is not over until bill has been paid and the seated party leaves. So all in all it was a welcomed change from my previous visit. but still not on par with other local places around town. read more

My steak was over-cooked but I didn't want to send it back because it would take even longer to get a new one. The floors were inexplicably wet and slippery. VERY accommodating (and patient) relative to small children. Even had the wherewithal to put us in the back of the diningroom, so we didn't have to worry about bugging other patrons (BIG plus). Drink service was quick, and refill came before the previous glass ran empty. Timing was excellent, bringing kids' meals first (as requested), followed by soup/salad, and entrees. Rolls were great (albeit oddly shaped, looked squished). Dinner was hot, fresh, and serving size was AMPLE. My wife's twisted chips were undercooked. The waitress took them to the kitchen, and a Manager returned a heaping appetizer-sized serving. Wow! Could've done without the southwest sauce. Next time we'll order it on the side (if at all). This is the second time I have been to this O'Charleys. The first time we came here was during a weekday afternoon and we left right away because they were on a 25 minute wait. With two little ones who were already restless, we couldn't wait that long. Today we came in and the wait was only 15 minutes. The little ones were in a good mood so we decided to stay. Once we were sat we waited... and waited... and waited... After about 10 minutes a waitress came up to us and asked if we had been waited on. We told her no and she looked around and walked away. Another 10 minutes later a different waitress came up to us and told us that she would take our drink order and that our waitress would be over to get our food order. The drink waitress brought us all our drinks except for one of the kids drinks. She told us she had to make the chocolate milk at the bar and she would be right back... she never came back. Finally after another 10 minutes of no chocolate milk and no food orders, I flagged down a manager. He apologized and asked if he could take our order. Our food was out in an appropriate amount of time. The manager came back to check on us and he had to get our drinks refilled because we still had not seen our waitress. The first time we saw our waitress was when she came to clear our plates away. She told us she had told the host not to sit her section because she was overwhelmed but he sat us there anyways. (I guess that was her apology?) After we were done eating we waited again for at least another 10 minutes, I flagged down the waitress to ask for our pies to go because the little ones were done at this point. She came back with a bag and the pies to go but no check. After 2 hours of watching people come in after us and leave before us, we finally got our check and got the heck out of there. In all fairness the food was good and the pies were great but the service was terrible. Actually, I can't say the service was terrible.... because we didn't get any service! O'Charley's isn't tops on my list of places to eat, yet if there were not many options, I'd be happy to eat here. I am truly disappointed with service and food at O'Charleys. I typically get fairly decent service here. However, when I place my to go order; you would've thought the hostess was answering a personal call from her phone and I was a telemarketer because the attitude and rudeness was believable! I asked the waitress if she could name of some of their salads options.She told me we have a lot of options to choose from and want salad was I looking for. I just could not believe the rudeness I was receiving. When I arrive to the restaurant there were less than 15 customers and wasn't like it was the lunch rush. Therefore she wasn't able to provide options to me. After I receive my food, I did asked to speak with a manager. Even though he apologized for her poor service he did not offer to comp my food or offer me anything for my poor service experience. When I got home, my salad lettuce was very old, brown and wilted. I called the manager back and And forward him of my salad. I requested his email address so I could send pictures and video of the salad. I also requested a returned as well. I've been to this location twice. I'm sorry to say that this place is terrible. Both time wait to be seated when they clean the table they wipe it in the seat, then when asked to clean the seat it's an issue then to dry them. Wife and I order the same food with salad. Food comes no salad, then the order is wrong not sure how this happens when we order the same thing. As this is going on tables are not being bussed and people are waiting. Never had my drink refilled or asked. Then after the meal is half over asked if we wanted the salad to go. Horribly run wrong. Under staffed. Will never never return to this place again. read more

Terrible overall experience. I'm staying in Cincinnati over the weekend for my birthday. We order OCharleys through Grubhub to our hotel. We ordered two of the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches one with cheese the other with lettuce tomato onion. What do we get..?? Two BBQ Carolina chicken sandwiches which were disgusting and wasn't customized the way we asked. I asked for fries and didn't get any. We got a side of Mac and cheese and a side salad and they didn't even put silverware in the bag so we can't eat it now... The BBQ Carolina Sandwich was sitting in a puddle of grease to where the buns were soggy and falling apart. We ended up throwing them in the trash. Luckily Grubhub refunded our order and I won't ever return to another establishment. read more
