We went to Carrabba's monthly wine dinner this evening to celebrate a birthday and were impressed with the entire event! The tables were set nicely and ready for their guests before we walked in. I appreciated having a bread basket when we arrived so we could nibble on that as we waited for the meal to begin. The 4-course dinner consisted of a seared scallop salad, vegetarian ravioli, branzino, and a chocolate peanut butter brownie. Each dish was delicious with the ravioli being my favorite. The dinner was kicked off with a glass of prosecco, and then each dish was paired with a glass of wine. The manager spoke into a mic to welcome us, to tell about each course/wine pairing, and then at the end of the evening to thank us for coming. He even introduced the entire staff, which was a nice touch. Each time he spoke, it was a quick little announcement and then he let everyone get back to their table conversations. I really appreciated that because so often at these types of things, the speaker tends go on too long, but he did a great job keeping it short. Service was impeccable. The staff was very friendly and professional and I was astounded at how well they served so many of us at the same time and the food came out fresh and plated beautifully. read more

Was craving some pasta and Carrabba's did not disappoint! We went here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner with his parents. They provided a complimentary birthday dessert for him! The pasta tasted amazing and I definitely recommend getting their soups as well! They have a deal for each entree you get, you can bring home another entree for $10! Our server was so nice. This was absolutely the worst meal I've ever eaten. The lasagna was cold and tasted terrible. My salad was lettuce with three crotons.

So dissatisfied because we deserve nice restaurants north of downtown! Had dinner last night and the atmosphere was beautiful. Took our drink orders and we asked for bread. "We are out of bread." Really? At 7:30? I wanted the 6oz filet for 40.00 as listed on their website. They only offer an 8 oz filet for 52.00. It came with a burnt inedible small baked potato. Literally. See picture. Group of 8, we received menus right away and they were generous with bread. However one member of our party who requested decaf waited 20 minutes for the first cup, when the second cup was requested, it was cold. When our food arrived, 2 out of 8 actually got warm meals. The rest ranged from warm to cold. The pasta had sat so long there was literally no sauce left and when additional Sauce was requested, it also arrived cold. We had to send someone else to go find the waiter because he never came back after the food was served. Once we expressed the issues with all the food his only reply was I'll go get someone. That someone arrived another 5-10 minutes later and offered to remake the meals, which is pointless at this time and did knock $50 off the bill. None of that makes up for 6 people getting crap food and some eating nothing. read more

First, I don't like to leave such poor reviews, but this one is merited. Second, this review is based solely on the food. The service was good, but keep in mind that my experience was limited to takeout. Now, the reason for two stars is that the food was flavorless. I'm taking into consideration the fact that the food had to travel back to my hotel. We got chicken parm and chicken alfredo. As I said, it just wasn't very good. The flavor and textures were unsatisfactory. This place needs to be shut down. I came here to celebrate birthday's and it was thee worst experience. Gnats we're flying around and all over the wall next to where we were sitting. We asked to be moved and the manager said that they had an exterminator come yesterday but, are still dealing with the issue and it's a issue in the whole restaurant so moving seats won't make a difference. Additionally, I order the salmon capperi and said no tomatoes twice and my entree arrived with tomatoes on it. They took it back and basically took off the tomatoes and poured a bunch of lemon sauce on top and did not add capers as it says it comes with on the menu and the asparagus were over cooked. This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be back. If they knew they had an infestation of gnats they should not be open. read more

It all would have been better with a fork (delivery address was Holiday Inn, and I requested a fork... but they did not send one) I made chopsticks out of my coffee stir sticks... Stir sticks don't make good chopsticks... I would have given 5 stars if they sent a fork, but I view that as a service issue. read more

Food was enjoyable, comparable to Maggiano's. Server was attentive and service was fast, though it wasn't a busy night for a Halloween. We had the Calamari, pretty peppery but had a nice crisp to it, Chicken trio was stuffing, Spiedino dei Mare is a pasta with big sacallops and Mahi Wulfe - tasty and well seasoned fish. The olive oil Tapenade was so salty it ruined my meal. It must have been 100% capers or too much salt added (there doesn't need to be any). No other ingredient was noticeable at all. When I complained the waitress said she would bring back another with less added salt- none was brought. Another 10 minutes later, she returned without anything. To the end of the meal, nothing further was done. My Italian salad order was brought out wrong, and our medium steak order was raw. read more

Fruit flys, fruit flys, fruit flys. We swatted at flys the entire meal. All three of us killed close to 10 fruit flys. We didn't get them all. It was so bad that each of us had to have our waters replaced because flys got into them. So gross. read more

My daughter brought me to the Mason location for my birthday 11/21/2024. I used to love Carrabba's. The bread was good as usual but my meal was terrible! I had the pasta carrabba. there was hardly any sauce at all & had absolutely no flavor! I just kept adding salt but that didn't help. I took my dish home & made my own alfredo sauce so I didn't waste the dish. My daughter took the same dish home to my son in law. & he said the same thing I did. I was very disappointed. Love the bread and olive oil dip for starters, so simple but very good. A meal in itself. However, we got the combo appetizer also very good and should have stopped there but we each then ordered a pasta dish which come with soup or salad. I chose the soup because I was cold and soup is great on a dreary winter day. The minestrone had a lot of flavor and big portion. The pasta also large portions 2 meals for the price of one sized portions. So get a to go container. Next time we will order one pasta dish and share. read more

The menu is quite extensive, there's plenty for everyone. I decided to go with the linguine and a side salad. I asked for ranch, but was told the closest they had would be the house dressing. So be it. The service was unremarkable - he did his job well, and made sure our water glasses were kept full. Nobody wore their meals, so service was not a detractor. The salad arrived. Iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots and a little red cabbage. Oh, and a sliced banana pepper - no crunch at all. The house dressing was watery ranch - maybe a ranch vinaigrette of some sort, except without the tang of actual ranch dressing. Then arrived the main event - my chicken linguine. Plenty of pasta in the bowl, strips of seasoned chicken, and a pomodoro sauce of sorts. A little heavy on the garlic (which is never a bad thing), but otherwise fairly underseasoned. The chicken did not seem to be fresh, but more the frozen kind you can microwave and use on sandwiches. I've always wanted to eat at Carrabba's. Now I have. I'm not opposed to paying $20 or even $30 for a meal, but when I do, I expect to get a high-end meal. I didn't. I got a very expensive fairly average meal. With so many restaurants in the Deerfield area, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'll be dining elsewhere. read more

A BIG PROPS on customer service at Carrabba's Mason. My steak had been undercooked, they tried it again, but still not up to par. The manager kindly apologized, said he would remove it from the bill, & kindly offered another entree to eat or take home. Even offered me more soup. Now that is A-1 customer service! THANK YOU to the manager & server at Carrabba's in Mason! We were a family of 4. Had new sampler appetizers - delicious. The soups - delicious. My son's combo of lasagna & chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo on the side, he thought was way better than Olive Garden. My wife enjoyed her ribeye streak which was huge.
