Our waiter was JD, and he was very funny and very helpful. I had a glass of Chardonnay. For my meal, I had Fish & Chips with green beans, and Mike had tea and a Reuben with onion rings. The fish and chips were SO good! We were here once before, and I remembered that they add some sort of sweet salt to their fries, so I ordered mine without. Although I'd rather have mushy peas with my fish, the green beans were exceptional. Mike ate his entire Reuben and loved it. The onion rings were very tasty too. I had to get most of mine to-go, so I'm looking forward to having the rest later tonight! We'll be back. Highly recommended!

I didn't even know that the "Boudin Capital of the World" had this many people. The place was packed, and I visited on an off time on an off day. I guess they don't have any off times or off days. Our wait was quoted at 40 minutes, and it was fairly accurate. They have a full bar to grab a drink and chat with friends while you wait. You can also grab a drink and stand alone in the corner, but that would be creepy as hell. Once seated, I was ready for some food. My kid and I shared some of their firecracker chargrilled oysters, and they were wonderful. Ensure your order has charbroiled oyster,s and you will be happy. The table also had an order of fried onion rings, and they, too, were excellent. My entrée was fried shrimp. When it arrived, I was concerned as the batter looked a little darker than I am used to. One bite, and that concern went out the window. These were some perfectly fried shrimp. This is an awesome place.

Alas they have announced the construction of a brand-new complex that I am sure will have a marvelous taproom. With all that being said, it doesn't matter about Parish's taproom. Their beer is so good I would drink it out of an oil pan while sitting in a port-o-potty. I have been to 420 breweries across the country including most of the ones on all the best breweries in the country list and Parish has my favorite beer, Ghost in the Machine. Ghost and all its variations and collaborations cannot be beat for hopheads like me. Parish could only make Ghost, and it would still be a 5-star brewery but there is so much more. Their limited-edition dessert stouts are fantastic, Canebrake is the perfect "everyday drinker", and their other hazies like Bloom and Atticus are phenomenal.

Super Tropics was loaded with bright tropical flavors and finished clean, while Dr. Juice was refreshing, easy to drink, and full of character. The crew behind the bar makes the experience even better. They're friendly, quick, and know their beer. You can tell they enjoy what they do and it shows in the way they take care of customers. If you're into craft beer, this place is a must. Great pours, great people, and the kind of spot you can't wait to come back to.

The two things that hurt the rating were the lack of beer and smoking inside. While the smoking inside is something I don't like I can look over that. But being a bar and not having beer is an issue. It wasn't just beer we wanted but it was also beer other patrons wanted. This could be a really great local chill bar if they could keep a steady supply of beer. If they would consider only allowing smoking on the back patio or elsewhere outside the bar would be one of the best bars I've visited.
