I have really, really appreciated Dr. Erini Redmond since transferring from another dentist in San Clemente a few years ago. But today's service and treatment was spectacular! Here are the details; I was driving home from a 5 day road trip. While driving down from the Tejon Pass, I started eating a protein bar with nuts. I bit down on something hard. When I looked at it, it looked like a nut shell. I thought no more about it. I took a break and stopped for a walk while I charged my car, tossing out my trash (which included what turned out to be a dental crown--not a nut shell :-( About 30 miles down the road, I took a drink of water, and realized I had a dental problem. I was concerned because it was a Wednesday--I didn't want to have to get through 4-5 days (including a weekend)...with a tooth root that was very sensitive. I called Dr. Redmond's office at about 9:30 am as I headed for home. Brenda (her receptionist) said the doctor was fully booked into next week, but that she would see if Dr. Erini could somehow work me in. I got a call back in about 15 minutes. Dr. Erini and her assistant were willing to work thru their lunch hour to get my tooth cleaned up and also put in a temporary crown. Gratefully, I said I could be there, for sure! Later in the day, I was out of the office, with a healed mouth and temporary crown just before 2:00 pm!!! I simply need to return next week for my permanent crown. In addition to her incredibly caring service, Dr. Erini always has the most modern treatments (like the machine which took the impressions of my bite digitally with a specialized camera). So much faster and more accurate than that ol' putty. I hate going to the dentist. Well, I used to anyways, until I went to Dr. Redmond. With the energy and smile of a high powered business development executive and the dental skills of a surgeon, Dr. Erini made me feel both at home and safe under her care. Her staff has gotten to know my family in a way that can only be compared with walking in to Cheers, where everybody knows your name. I now love and trust the team at Dr. Erini's office and look forward to going. That's no BS, and no small fete either, because as I've told you...I HATE(ED) the dentist. I'm a new patient at Dr. Erini Redmond's office. I needed a new dentist and was referred to the office by my periodontist, Dr. Ajay Setya. I lost a tooth late last year and Dr. Setya performed an implant which necessitated a crown. Hence, the referral to Dr. Redmond. First and foremost, Dr. Redmond's work is EXCELLENT. The implant and crown are for one of my front teeth, so appearance was very important. For you dental nerds out there, it was tooth number 7. At the crown installation appointment, both Dr. Redmond and I both felt the color/shade match of the crown could use some improvement. Without hesitation, Dr. Redmond phoned the dental lab and arranged for me to visit the lab the next morning for a color/shade adjustment. Then Dr. Redmond altered their workflow to install the revised crown in between their other patients that same day. Five-star service! The finished product is extraordinary! The crown is indistinguishable from the surrounding, natural teeth. I couldn't have asked for a better result! There are more good things to say about the office. I already mentioned flexibility - they smoothly worked in the color/shade revision and subsequent installation into their daily workflow. An additional example of this flexibility is the rearrangement of their new patient procedures to accommodate my unique situation. They accomplished this by prioritizing the crown installation because they knew I had been dealing with a six-month implant sequence and was itching to get it completed. They allowed the new patient exam to occur after the initial crown impression appointment to give the lab a head start on manufacturing the crown. I simply had the new patient exam at the next appointment, when they installed the crown. This simple act shaved weeks off the completion schedule. I found the entire staff to be friendly and compassionate. They are concerned about your comfort. The front office staff members are smart and proactive - totally on top of their game. The facilities are clean with contemporary architectural design. There is a large skylight in the hallway between operatories which flood the patient area with gobs of natural light. This effectively diminishes what would normally be a very clinical environment. As I conclude this review, I'd be remiss without a shout-out to Lanny at Integrity Dental Lab in Mission Viejo. This guy is a regular Rembrandt! He patiently color matched the crown and made several iterations of shade adjustment until it was perfect. Clearly, Dr. Redmond and Lanny are experienced teammates during great work together. Of course, a shout-out to Dr. Setya for enabling the whole thing; doing excellent, compassionate work with the utmost in patient comfort. Kathy and Kay, the front desk ladies not only answer the phone and speak with me before the day of my visit, but always issue a warm welcome when I arrive for my appointment. Debbie is the wonderful technician who cleans my teeth, etc. Dr. Erini always checks in, is so gracious. In fact, she, along with the entire staff, is competent, caring, patient, and fun.
