I made the mistake of listening to their advice to do a vein scan. They told me I needed both of my great saphenous veins closed and that if I didn't that fixing my spider veins would be a waste of my time because it would keep coming back. Something I deal with everyday of my life now is that I listened and didn't get a second opinion. Now that I've seen other doctors since - I've been told they pretty much committed insurance fraud on me Due to me having zero symptoms when I went in at age 34 for COSMETIC reasons only, and now a year and a half later after they closed both of my great saphenous veins- at only age 36 I have horrible burning in my lower legs when I bend down, very bad swelling 24/7 in my lower legs, nerve damage (can't feel my skin in both surgery areas) and MY SPIDER VEINS ARE WORSE THAN EVER.
