The display cases are at unusual angles, making the waiting area for customer very compact. The selections of donuts is limited. When I arrived around 10:30AM, there were many empty trays. Myself and my partner are from out of town and were visiting STL on a weekend getaway in May. Our VRBO happened to be very close to this place, and we passed it on our way to and from various destinations. We decided to stop in and grab some donuts one morning. I believe we got 6 donuts for less than 10 dollars, which seems like such a deal with how expensive everything is nowadays! I loved all of the donuts that I ate (unfortunately I don't remember everything that we ordered because it was a while ago), but they had a very wide selection of cake, yeast, glazed, frosted, sprinkles, etc. I devoured my strawberry-frosted donut with sprinkles in about two seconds! Strawberry frosted with sprinkles is always a go-to for me, but can be hard to find so I was sooo happy they had it. I also remember a chocolate glazed one that we ate a day or two later that was still super indulgent and yummy! There's a small donut inventory and limited variety. The glazed I bought was exceptional. With a diameter on the small side height made up the difference. Well well well. I remembered driving by this spot when I used to live on this side of the park and always meant to stop but never did. Today, I needed some donuts but World Fair (my usual) was unexpectedly closed, and O'fashion came to mind. Windows garnished with Elvis Presley posters and cash only, sure do fit the theme. It seems to be ran by an older couple who were really nice and really grateful for my business. Now the dones... they were great. They were so soft that the blueberry one (my favorite) was almost falling apart before I could get it into my mouth. I was really impressed. I got a box of rainbow sprinkle, glazed, and blueberry and they were crowd pleasers for sure. I pass by this store literally every day on my way to and from work. This morning, I reeeeally had a craving for something sweet (pregnancy hormones... go figure) and decided to stop in. The shop is pretty small with just two cases of doughnuts. I went for a big one that the lady behind the counter said was cinnamon. It only cost me a dollar. One dollar! I repeat again, one dollar! Look at the size of this doughnut!! It took up almost an entire plate. I only got through half of it before my sweet tooth was satisfied (which I great because now I'll have a snack for later haha). The dough was soft and not chewy, it was fried just right, the cinnamon wasn't too strong, and there was lots of glaze. If you've ever been here you know it's small and he probably shouldn't be hanging out there if we're attempting to social distance inside the mask less donut shop. I picked up a dozen donuts for work on a Saturday morning. I told the woman to just mix them up as their selection is pretty small. Granted, I've only been here once but at 9am the donut selection was dreadful. The cases were mostly empty and our options were limited to glazed, a couple long johns, a couple frosted, and maybe a cream filled? We got one glazed and one chocolate long john. The chocolate on the long john was...runny? When the man put it in our bag it got everywhere. There wasn't much left on the long john when we pulled it out but it was all over the bag, and my hands. I took a bite. It was dry. Stale tasting maybe. Like it was yesterday's donut. It was genuinely awful. The glazed was...wet. Like, not moist (which would have been great) but...damp? You could have squeezed it and let it drip. I'm not sure which was worse. O'fashion Donuts is old fashioned in the way that the hand me down clothes from your grandparent's closet are. They may appear to be hip and charming from a distance and maybe you really like the idea of them but upon closer inspection they're just old and bit dusty. While I'd much rather build up local businesses than tear them down (which I why I drove out of my way to this place instead of just going to Dunkin') I have honestly never been more disappointed in a donut. Maybe this place just had a bad day and they are normally great. Maybe the locals have embraced this place in the Yelpers equivalent of Stockholm syndrome. I don't know. I drove to World's Fair Donuts early in the morning and was sad to find out they were closed. So naturally, I googled to see where the nearest donut shops were and that's how I found out about O'fashion Donuts. It was just down the street so I decided to give this place a try. It's a small donut shop with a limited selection of donuts, but there were people that kept coming into the shop. I got the cinnamon and cheesecake donuts. The cheesecake donut was good and I liked that there was not a ton of filling on the inside. The donut itself was light and fluffy. However, the cinnamon donut was my favorite! It is huge and I probably should have just gotten that by itself. The cinnamon flavor was perfect and the dough was soft. Highly recommend getting this one! Really great donut shop you could easily miss! I have to say that I very much enjoyed the ones I tried. The long john was crazy perfect, little bit of pastry crunch on the outside (like phillo dough) and very soft all the way through. Not too little and not too much chocolate frosting on top. The blueberry cake doughnut was impressively soft and moist. I would have loved it without the frosting!!! It was a little too sweet for me. But most cake doughnuts I have has in the past have been dried up bland crusts. Woman at counter was very sweet. I don't know why this place is so good. My friend Sam seems to know all the best places in the city. She kept telling me how hey had the best donuts, THE BEST! I was like "okay okay!' and we went to try them and she was definitely right. I don't know why these are so good (and still cheap!) But these are better than any old doughnut (and St Louis is loaded with great doughnut shops - Krispy Kreme doesn't even compare to our locals). As a Canadian, I take my doughnuts seriously. Very seriously. In my old 'hood, I was a loyal Donut Drive In customer. They are amazing and I love them dearly. Last year I moved a mere 5 minute walk away from World's Fair and the second day I lived in my new place, I walked right over there to finally taste the hype. I haven't been back since. They are grossly overrated. Imagine my surprise when one day I was driving around and I saw this sign advertising doughnuts a mere 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. I had no idea it was there. If it weren't for Yelp, I wouldn't even know the name. It's a very easy to miss building. I was out walking and finally decided to give them a shot. The test - my favourite, Boston Cream. I got two - just to be certain. They were delightful! Slightly crispy on the outside, yet soft and delicious on the inside. And the frosting? YUM! I went around noon and it looked like they had been ransacked by hungry doughnut fiends, because there wasn't much left aside from the plain ones and the two Boston Creams I snagged. This must be the big secret in town. I wish someone had told me sooner! I can't give it 5 stars until I do more sampling, but I can vouch that they have one of the best Boston Creams in the city. read more

Me and my coworker rent the apartment next to the place and our first night in the new place walked out to grab stuff out of our cars when a lady and a man started yelling at us to the point I thought there was going to be a physical altercation.
