I visited this store last week for the first time and was pleasantly greeted and accommodated by an employee by the name of Liz , she has a way about her where you leave the store happier then when you came in , like contagious kindness! Unfortunately I had to return the shoes I got so I went back today and she was there again .. hassle free return , great customer service and didn't seem annoyed at all about all the trips she made to the stockroom for me, she seems like she should be the manager or trainer on customer service! After leaving the next door AMC Theater, another friend & I stopped in to look at their larger sizes wall. BAM! Found a pair of Tamarindos and Miguel brought two colors and offered me a discount. He then brought me a 3rd pair (having astutely noticing my Keen sandals I was wearing) and suggested them, also with a discount. And just like that! I walked out of O My Sole! a VERY happy woman with three great looking, comfortable Tamarindos (which I can't wait to take on my next travel adventure)! I live in the marina and I've never been in the store. What a shame, they have so many beautiful and ultra comfortable, high-quality shoes. All of those things are super important to me when it comes to footwear, mostly anything for that matter. I was in a mad rush and Matt blew my mind. I told him what I needed, he hit the nail on the head. Hit it out of the ballpark too! Brought me out the perfect nude, sexy wedge perfect for my bridesmaids dress. And what's great is I can use it almost every day after that. I'm actually so excited about the shoe and Matt's customer service was such a breath of fresh air in today's standards. He could actually teach customer service classes. I haven't read any of that or negative reviews on here but I don't even want to because this place an is the bomb. I needed to order another pair of my shoes in a different color and got Daniel both times, he as rude as they come. I called and wasn't even finished talking and he hung up on me. Just had the scariest experience at this store. Do not come here. I was in the store with my mother in law (70+ years old) and my husband. I've been here before with my mom and the same salesman pointed out the bathroom in the back. While salesman was getting shoes for my MIL, I showed my husband the bathroom. The salesman then proceeded to start screaming and banging on the bathroom door and seething. He started chasing all of us out of the store screaming at us. I seriously thought he might hit us. It was so freakish and sudden. He is clearly not well and I would be very scared to ever even walk by this store again. Good thing he already told me I'm banned for life so I won't be tempted. I am a big fan of the O My Sole shoe stores. Yesterday I decided to drive from Pasadena to the Marina Del Rey store because I heard they are the largest of the chain of stores and have an amazing selection to choose from. I was not disappointed. I felt like a kid in a candy store! I was welcomed by a wonderful young man, Miguel, who could not have been more helpful and patient. When I told him how impressed I was by his cheerfulness and efficiency to help his customers he replied that he simply loves his job! The salesman told us upon entering the store that we must put on the peds in order to try on the shoes and that he had to call security on the last customer for that same reason. Not exactly the most awkward way to enter an establishment but ok. My gf has purchased many shoes here and has always loved the shoes always comfortable and something stylish to choose from but on this particular day every pair of shoes we wanted to see the salesman was quick to say we don't have that one in your size (8). So my girlfriend randomly selected about 5 more pairs in addition to the 4 or so we were already told he didnt have. The salesman lined the shoes up in a row and studied them. Quickly he eliminated several pairs from the selection and announced he had to use the restroom and did so. Once he returned he started eliminating more choices. My girlfriend said "lets get out of here this guy is obviously not trying to help us". To that the guy said he has been unable to breathe and called security on us as well. He followed us to the car to get our license number. Not sure why he felt the need but thats fine and we offered to wait for security but they never showed and i would think its because they have to go there so often and this salesman calls security at a whim. Its unfortunate the owner failed to return my calls to discuss this salesman, maybe now they know why sales may be on the decline. Lack of stock and helpful employees. read more

I have actually purchased many pairs of shoes here over the last five years. This store used to be located in the complex where the California pizza kitchen is and has moved next to the movie theater and fat burger in Marina del Rey. The service here has been consistently terrible. If they didn't have fabulous hard to find shoes they wouldn't sell any at all. The sales people are consistently hard to nail down. They are regularly distracted and overwhelmed. The store is probably understaffed as there's usually only one person working. So it may not actually be the person's fault it is working however it's very frustrating as somebody wanting to purchase a pair of shoes that I can't get service in a reasonable timeframe. read more

The problems with this store are all preventable, not the least of which is the (lack of) interior design. It's an obvious enough oversight as to be surprising. From the outside this clutterbox looks like a Goodwill Store, which doesn't help sell the expensive shoes already sporting a hefty mark-up, available elsewhere at better prices. This store needs a lighting designer b.a.d.l.y, and an interior designer who knows how to break up space and create interest out of the "big box" that it is now. It's so easy to understand why the store is always empty. I walked in as pleasant as could be to make a simple request and the woman at the register took minutes to turn around and so I had to say excuse me to get her attention. Again, no one else in the store. She seemed bored and annoyed that I asked for a specific product and even more annoyed when I asked a couple more questions for clarification. I am all for trying to understand where a person might be coming from, perhaps they're having a bad day or dealing with something difficult. But it seems like a basic hello in a retail establishment is so little to hope for. Such a low standard of expectation. No hello. No thank you. No I'm sorry. No welcome. Just an annoyance. Went in with my mom who hurt her leg. Great selection and great prices. I thought the customer service was great. This type of store definitely gets a tough crowd due to carrying orthopedic shoes. The sales guy was knowledgeable and not over bearing. Retail doesn't pay orthopedic doctor salary people. The sales people had good information on brands and posture health. I just stumbled across this wonderful shoe store while picking up a book at B&N. I'm a "shoe person" and I know a lot about shoes. This store carries a lot of shoes from Spain. I've always liked shoes from that area since then tend to be very comfortable. I found a very stylish walking shoe on sale 50% off and they fit perfectly. I quickly purchased them. I had a BIZARRE experience at this store today. I came in to buy Birkenstocks. The salesman wasn't willing to bring me shoes in my size after I tried on a couple of pairs. Then - very suddenly - he told me he didn't want to help me and demanded that I leave the store, claiming that I'd been rude and had cussed him out - both totally untrue. While I was walking out, he called a security guard. Then he threatened to get a restraining order if I ever came back. I have NO idea what set this guy off. Obviously, I'll be calling O'My Sole's corporate HQ to complain. Needless to say, I didn't find the Birkenstocks. Note to the salesman: don't worry: I'll never be back. Went in there to find me a healthy pair of shoes for my feet that been having some toe issues. The sales person Giovanni served my daughter and I with utmost professionalism. His assistant Miguel was also very helpful as well. I must have tried on 20 pairs of shoes or more and he was so patient. I felt bad to put them through that, but because of his attitude I was able to take my time and purchase 2 pairs of shoes. They believed in my concerns and were patient with my indecisiveness about comfort. The shoes were over a $100 each but on sale, Made in Spain, Wonders brand; great product. I had the worst experience at this store today. I went in to get a gift certificate for my Mom. The man behind the counter seemed confused from the minute I asked to purchase one. I asked him if he knew how to sell me the gift certificate, to which he replied "No.". I asked if the other worker in the store could do it and he said "No, she is new too." He then tried to call someone to help him and that person did not know how to do it. He hangs up with them and says, "I don't know how to do it and no one can help me." I told him that the store is missing out on sales and customers because of their inability to sell gift certificates. He gets smart mouthed with me and tells me, "No, we have plenty of customers." I asked for the manager and he said, "I am the manager". Really? And you don't know how to sell a gift certificate? He was lying and rude. I told him that I thought it was ridiculous and he sarcastically says, "Have a nice day." I went over to DSW where they happily sold me a gift card. However, there was 1 associate or manager engaging a couple when I walked in and I was not greeted. Had a strange encounter with Daniel the salesman today, I bought a pair of sand les on May 30 v I have 30 days to exchange them, met Daniel, at first he seemed fairly nice, but when he knew that I wanted an exchange he totally lost himself, he actually was communicating with an imaginary Buddha , telling me that they were worn, ,I never even tried them on at home , he upset me so much, that I didn't want to leave, he called the security, even the security guard looked at the shoes and knew they were never worn, Daniel just decided not to do the exchange for me, telling me to come back on Sunday when Anna was working, "let her return them ,It's her sale"I asked for head office telephone number he tells me they are in Korea , Very disappointed from this store, Managment should really consider having this man represent this company.
