I first met Humberto when I opened a Yelp project ticket in January. He was not only quick to respond, (he came over within an hour, on a Sunday), he also was transparent in his pricing and had great suggestions. I could tell he knew a lot about gardening. Humberto and Alejandro came in January for the first visit, and as was right for the season, they pruned all of the bushes, weeded the mulch and stone areas, and mowed the lawn. I liked them so much that first visit we made a plan for the next visit in the spring, which happened today! Humberto brought just the stone I wanted (he knew it by name when he saw it the first time), to refresh the old stone and also brought the mulch that we had talked about- both in the perfect quantity. Today they also mowed and fertilized the grass (the right time of year for that now), cleaned up all of my pots, put new plants in huge heavy ceramic pots, replanted some outlier succulents from the stone area, and did a thoughtful cleanup all around. He advised me about "sunny plants" and "shady plants" too, which was very useful. The yard is beaming with Springtime! Humberto is busy for a good reason, so plan for that, but a shiny well thought out garden is a joy.

After the initial consultation with Luis, Andre provided a detailed quote with breakdown of all the items, labor cost, and materials. Their quote is not the cheapest but definitely the longest. I like how the quote had all the cost breakdown and specifics regarding choice of materials and scope of work. Another thing I wanted to highlight is the fact that Andre was able to propose something creative and different to enhance our existing design, so that we ended up with multi-tier retaining walls and re-using a lot of the existing boulders on the side. Our project involved a lot of demo / excavation on a steep hillside, building a large paved deck with railing + steps up and down. From start from finish, the crew worked every single weekday from 8am sharp to 5pm. There is no playing loud music, no messing around during lunch time, just super organized hard work and impeccable work ethic. Due to the difficulty to access the backyard, everything was done by hand, and the end result came out amazing. To our surprise, the entire project took LESS than two months! What a transformation! Before the appointment, I had both verbally and in writing asked them to make sure they did **not** go to a different address in another town. The receptionist confirmed that the estimator had gone to the wrong address and assured me he would come to the correct one. Unfortunately, after waiting another hour, I never heard from the estimator or the office. My attempts to call the office also went unanswered. At that point, it became clear that no one was coming and no one was going to let me know. Mistakes happen, but what disappointed me most was the lack of communication and professionalism. GCSF wasted more than 90 minutes of my time and couldn't extend the courtesy of a simple phone call or update. Based on this experience, I can't recommend them.

Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

The level of craftsmanship is excellent across every detail. Everything is solid, well-built, properly aligned, and clearly designed to last. The finished work significantly improved both the safety and overall appearance of my property. In addition to the construction work, they handled major tree cutting, including the removal of several large trees in my backyard. What once felt like a dense forest has now been completely transformed into an open, bright space. After the tree cutting and clearing, the backyard opened up to clear skies and natural sunlight, dramatically changing the feel of the entire area. The transformation was impressive and made the space far more usable and enjoyable. The concrete stairs and retaining wall work were especially impressive. The steps are clean, level, and professionally constructed, and the handrail adds both safety and a polished, finished look. The wood entrance staircase looks fantastic and immediately enhances curb appeal. The fencing and wire fences were installed neatly and securely with great attention to detail.
