One of the few places these days who employ "car people". The staff at the Albany, Oregon Location are the perfect example of this!

Pretty good store, the employees were very helpful. Even letting my Dad borrow a tool because he only needed it for one thing!

I drive a 2019 Subaru Outback and it had the original battery so it was long overdue for a replacement. I called ahead of time to make sure they had one in stock and they did, so I stopped by a couple hours later. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly gentleman who showed me where to park. He had me pop the hood and checked my alternator, then went to get a new battery. He went to work on replacing it after checking the settings in my car. Once he was done he cleaned up the battery acid from my old battery corroding and I was good to go. It came out to a total of $180, $170 for the battery and $10 for install. The man who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable. He told me what he was doing before he did it so I knew what was going on. He didn't talk down to me because I'm not a man a which was a welcome relief. Note that they won't work on Subarus if they were made in 2020 or later due to how Subaru batteries work now. I didn't catch the whole explanation but it was good to know. The place itself is small and easy to miss but they have everything you would need battery-wise. They do installs for you and make sure it's all working, all for a very good price. I will definitely be back!

They tested it and told me in order to use the 24 month warranty, since it was at 11v, I would have to leave it there so they could charge and then test it or I go home, take it out and bring it back. Or buy another one, if the old one charges up then I have two batteries...ridiculous, I was told thats STORE POLICY! What if its your only car....what if your on vacation! Don't waste your $$$ here. Go to Auto Z, under warranty they will test replace and install it for you. Chris said he'd have the key cut and programmed in 30-45 minutes and would call when it was ready. He never called, so I reached out myself--only to learn that he couldn't program the fob and had actually cut the key incorrectly, making it unusable. After telling me this, he just moved on to another customer as if my needs had been sufficiently met. Were it not for Ed, a more experienced associate, I would have effectively been stranded 30 minutes from home. But Ed stepped in and charged my battery, got me a working key so I could get home, and later gave me a discount when I had to return for a properly cut fob. Ed was excellent and really saved the day, but because of Chris' mistakes and lack of follow-through, I can only give this location 2 stars.

O'REILLY AUTO PARTS RULES!…read more WHILE POWER GMC TRIED TO RIPP ME OFF! OK, rewinding 1 year ago...I was having an issue with my Silverado Pickup, where the engine light came on, and said "Service Select Track" and the car was running rough. Power GMC charged me $1300 to diagnose and repair the problem (Spark plugs, wires, etc.). Then shortly after my fuel pump started acting up, and the same obligatory $1300 was quoted again. I see a pattern with their pricing, and asked why so much? They told me the fuel pump was $600 from O'reilly Auto Parts. I went to the parts store and bought the same pump for $300, and was told that they wouldn't warranty the installation unless I accepted the extra $300 shelf markup. I said I don't care just install it. Back to current times - The car was running rough last week, and I went back to Power and said, "Hey I just had this fixed and it is giving me the same issues". He gave me the exact speech about: diagnosis $180; Spark plugs, etc. $1300. So I went back to O'reilly to price out the parts, and the Lady there was a beam of light from heaven! She was so knowledgeable about car issues that she talked me into fixing it myself. So I went to Amazon and ordered a diagnostic code reader $38, and got the code from the reader "P0301" - Misfire on Piston 1. Went back to O'reilly and bought a spark plug for $1.90. It took 10 minutes to replace the spark plug in their parking lot, and guess what? The engine codes reset after driving, and the car runs great! I did the same repair job that power did for $1300, and for a total cost of (Drumroll Please)... $39.90. And it only took me 10 minutes! I was livid! They held my car for over a week to make me believe that they were doing a lot of work. When the reality set in, I was very sure that those people are the most dishonest people on the planet. Mechanics in general prey upon unsuspecting customers who are not mechanically inclined. They markup their parts almost double, and lie to your face about small repairs that they know would be easy to fix yourself. Don't believe them!!! And, do not accept their obligatory $1300 service fees. Question them, and ask for a breakout pricing list of any work they quote you on. Do not believe anything they say. They lie, they lie, they lie... BUT O'REILLY AUTO PARTS WILL HELP YOU GET AWAY FROM THEM! FIX YOUR OWN CAR WITH O'REILLY AUTO PARTS!
