When I fix my car, I get the part and use Yelp's Request a Quote feature that will charge me a fair labor rate to install the part. I've gotten incredible success with this and saved hundreds of dollars as a result. This is where Advanced Auto Parts come in. I call on the phone, let them know what part I need and for what car -- and they tell me when I can pick it up. Easy-peezy. Most recently, I asked them for a wiper motor. The price they quoted me was $5 more than a place in the Falls, but whatever - it's close enough and I was willing to pay for the convenience. It's still way cheaper than what a mechanic will likely upcharge you for the part with their 30-50% premiums. I'm a fan of the service and the store! Great selection and you can always just call ahead a phone order for a part too for pick them. Give them up to 24 hours to deliver certain parts that they may not have in stock.

    If you value your machine, DO NOT take it to this place. I took my ATV there in July for an oil…read morechange and tune up. I was running fine when I took it there. When I went to pick it up the owner had a difficult time starting it. He said because it was sitting outside for a few days. When I got the machine home, it would not start at all. I contacted him that it would not start, and he said he was now busy and said I could bring it back in a couple of weeks. I took it back and he said there was bad gas in it (I had just put new non-ethanol in it). He said he had to drain the tank and clean the fuel lines, clean the carburetor, and put a new spark plug in it. I took the machine home, and it still would NOT start. I contacted him again ( he doesn't answer his phone, he only replies to text messages). Again, he said he was busy, and he'd get back to me when I could bring it in. I asked if he had some obligation to look at my machine since it's not running after 2 trips to his place. His response was, "Just because I touched it does not mean that I caused the problem." To the contrary, I got fed up with this guy's bull and took it to a very reputable dealer in the area. Their service department looked at the machine, and the next day called me and said the carburetor had been taken off but was not placed back into the machine properly which was the primary no start problem. They also said the spark plug was at least a couple of years old and was definitely NOT a new plug. When I told them who did the work, they said I was not the first person to bring a machine to them after 716 motorsports had "worked on it". 716 Motorsports charged me for a spark plug he never replaced and labor he had not provided. On the invoice he had charged me for a spark plug installation and testing. I my opinion, he is an incompetent mechanic, a liar and a thief. And the final word, he sent me a text on Sept. 26, 2 months after I first brought it in, asking me if I'd like to bring it back. HA HA, NEVER AGAIN!!!

He's definitely helped me out when in a bind and answers his phone on nights/weekends, unlike most modern day mechanics who work a 9-5. I have found the employees to be very nice,honest & thorough . Their prices are not too bad for being local and working on commission. I usually always deal with Mark & Jessie. Both of them always know what they're talking about & get the job done in a very timely manner. I get cards in the mail with discounts,coupons,etc. They give good deals a lot of times. Due to all of these reasons ,keeps me going back. If there's something they can not do,they point you in the right direction of where to go. I love this location & the employees !! They're also rude when you decline the services. I had been going to a different Monro for several years but it had closed so I went to this Monro to have an oil change done. I get a call saying they need to replace my muffler (it was getting a little loud so I was expecting that in the call)... "oh and your rotors need to be replaced and honestly these windshield wipers aren't good either they need to be replaced and we can do that for you... also these tires are looking pretty old. (I had literally replaced them the year prior) I decline the services and take my car to another shop - the new shop said "yes, you need a new piece for your muffler but everything else looks good on the car. Whoever you went to was looking for a cash grab." So what Monro told me was going to me $3k+ of work ended up costing me a couple hundred dollars. This is exactly what people (especially women) are afraid of when going to an auto shop. Predatory salesmen trying to scam you. Do better.
