It was well before 3 (and I did not realize they closed early on Sat), and the open sign was lit and lights were on in the building. Within the seconds it took me to pull around the corner the individual inside, locked the door and turned out the lights. I hauled the heavy battery to the front door only to find it locked. It must have been entertaining to watch myself and another customer being locked outside before closing. As I drove down the street, the clock turned to 3pm.

I stepped out of the office and called her from the curb, where It was extremely difficult to hear her over the traffic noise, When I suggested that it might be easier to continue the discussion in person, as I was 20 feet away from her, she repeated "That's not how we do business!" following up with "We might not even want to take your vehicle." and refused to offer any alternatives in the area. she did call later on and left a message that they weren't interested. Every moment If this exchange was bizarre. She get's an F in Customer Service and an F in Interpersonal Skills. It's a shame. Catastrophic Repair, Unauthorized Work, and Extortion -- Exposed by NAPA Corporate!…read moreI brought my van to Chad's Quick Auto in Chelan strictly to address an overheating problem, which required diagnosing and installing a new thermostat. Instead, this shop performed completely unauthorized work and hit us with a shocking $1,600 bill for an unrequested oil change and oil filter housing. Because we were out of town and stranded in Chelan, they used our situation to their advantage. We had to pay their extortionate costs just to get our van back so we could drive home and get to work. The van ran significantly worse than when we brought it in to them. We took it to Scotty's Auto Repair in Moses Lake, (highly recommend, their 5 star review is coming soon) where their team discovered that Chad's had put the entirely wrong radiator fluid into our vehicle and a faulty oil filter housing causing it to leak profusely. Genn at Scotty's acted as a fierce advocate for us. When she called Chad's to hold them accountable, they spoke to her in a completely inappropriate manner over the phone. Because Chad's refused to take responsibility, Genn bypassed them entirely and escalated the issue directly to NAPA Corporate under the NAPA Auto Care Peace of Mind Warranty. Because Chad's work was so flagrantly improper and defective, NAPA Corporate approved the claim and covered 100% of the parts and labor required to flush the system and fix Chad's dangerous mistakes. NAPA's own corporate intervention proves Chad's work was faulty. Avoid Chad's Quick Auto Chelan at all costs--they perform unauthorized work, price-gouge stranded travelers, and execute defective repairs.

He had a good enough jack that I was able to safely climb under the van and bang on the starter while he worked the key. After a minute or two it fired up. This was above and beyond as far as we're concerned, great service, friendly driver who was totally willing to help. I suspect he saved us in the neighborhood of $1500.
