I came in looking for wheel locks for my car. I don't remember the salesman's name but he approached me and asked if he could help. I told him what I was looking for and he checked the system. They didn't have them but he offered to order them for me. Unfortunately, the order would take about a week to come in so I told him I would order from Amazon instead. There are a BUNCH OF DING DONGS that work here! Used to be good, but they now have a couple of incompetent kindergarten drop outs working here. We called to ask if they specifically carried 5W-40 motor oil because that's what Audis and VWs use; they said, "YES !!!!" - confidently over the phone. We get to the store and couldn't locate the small quart bottle and so we asked again. Then, the moron working says... "There's no such thing as 5W-40!" I said, "Yes there IS!" - - Then he starts saying " You mean 5W-20, 5W-30?!!". I replied "I MEANT 5W-40!!! " He goes behind and asks his buddy in the back loudly, so we could hear him. This is the response of the other guy. " 5W-40? ?!!! ?? . They don't MAKE THAT!". Then he comes back and says..."No sir, there is no such thing". Just then, we found the 1 Gallon bottle (only one in the store) sitting on the rack. We said "Yes they do. Come here! It's right here...I'll show you". Just called his bluff, so he quickly goes back to bring his buddy out. The two dummies are looking at us...and I said "Where's your quart bottle?!". He says, "What you drive? A truck?" . I said, "WHAT?! A CAR!". Then he confidently says, " That's for 18 Wheeler diesel trucks man...Tha's all we got". We drove down the street to Autozone that HAD ROWS of this stuff and the store didn't look like an effin' shack either. Just go further down Archer Avenue and you'll be stunned at what the local Autozone has. By the way, the label on the 5W-40 we bought from Autozone clearly stated " Specially Formulated for European Vehicles" . MORONS!! read more

I called to check if they had a part and explained that I was driving a long way to pick it up. They claimed they had 2. After traveling a great distance to get the part, they said they didn't have it. They had no reason or excuse, and after I explained how far I drove issued NO apology, NO sorry for your inconvenience and after I pointed out that they could at LEAST apologize, the guy just shook his head. I stop going to this place 2yrs ago..I've been going to this auto place b4 it was oreillys for over 20yrs but since oreillys open this place has very bad service..dontbopen on time,they have 4 register but only one guy working while other employees are in back even wen it's busy..I've complained to the corporate bout this but still no change I had to go here yesterday cus my truck was down I had to use a bicycle to get here because it was close to my house otherwise I go to auto zone that's li farther & there they are more helpful & all registers are open ..no waiting on one register..yesterday I called oreillys but no answer just rings so I go there to rent a tool..only one register was open & poeple are waiting while 3 other employees are in back laughing & joking instead of helping customers..so I go bak today to return wut I rented ..they don't have enough cash to give me ($164) so I try calling the regional manager..no answer or a return call..if you want better service I suggest auto zone read more

Not only did he point us in the right direction of proper coolant - he came outside and provided a quick crash course on what to do next! I came here recently to get new rubber mats for the passenger and driver side seats on my car. They were reasonably priced for $25 and included the mats for the backseats as well! My favorite part is that they had different tread and traction designs to choose from. Who knew that was even a thing, honestly? Yup, they had a flower design which I chose and there was an Aztec design as well LOL. The people working in front were friendly too. read more

Have to write this after a bit of an absence of 1 star reviews in and around the Chicagoland area... So, this place sucks. Not only do clients like Oscar G. have to put up with ignoramuses that do not know what they're selling, but you have to put up with "ig'nant" customer service bordering on discrimination when you do show up "depending on who you get" (as another reviewer pointed out). I had the intolerable displeasure of witnessing a Black employee tease and irk a Spanish-speaking customer who came in with an alternator. The employee basically claimed "language barrier" to cleanse himself of any responsibility to help this older man. I called him out on it. He did not like it one bit. I told him if I had done what he had done to this older Latino at my place of employment there would be holy hell to pay in the form of "supervisors" and "managers" being called and basically wanting my job for having treated him so poorly. People do not like being called out on their bullsh*t! I know this SO well, but I could not conscientiously and passively allow that kind of behavior to fly -- in this day and age?! NOPE. I left the store cool as a cucumber knowing damn well I had taken the high road and he started yelling about, "I don't care what you do for my people! My people will still be here! You don't know what you saw!" Having the "wrong" kind of skin tone in Bridgeport for 30+ years, junior, I know damn well what I saw... I wanted to have a battery load tested because the car was not cranking. A very nice guy behind the counter said that they do not load test batteries but that he could charge it. I asked again if he was sure, because the machine it was hooked up was huge. I found it hard to believe that all it does is charge when I have a charger at home that is the size of an alarm clock. He told me again that was all. 10min later it was charged and I took the battery to Pep Boys where they had a similar machine and a load test was done. The battery was putting out 400ccAmps where it needed to be at 700ccAmps. I bought a new battery at Pep Boys. If you know exactly was you need, then this place is fine. But, if you need assistance or advice. I would go else where. I'm sure that the battery could have been load tested right there, but the employee didn't know how to use the machine. I'm sure I'll be back for small simple items but not for service. Though he was very polite, not the most knowledgeable. read more

Went here for headlights and taillight bulbs. Found them both but the headlight bulbs didn't fit and had to be returned. No problems there. Staff was friendly and informative. Plenty of parking in front. read more

Good friendly service. They were out of the air filter I needed but were able to order it from a different store and it was there less than 3 hours later. Been back a few times since, including to buy a new battery, and while their selection is sometimes a bit limited in terms of variety they generally have what I need. Place is a joke with a few dumbass employees. I Went in for a few small things for my car and was basically ignored while I waited to check out. Waited for 10 min, 2 other people came into the store and they were helped before anyone even made an attempt to let me buy my things and leave. The guy in the store before me who left when they didn't have what he needed even told the employees this guys waiting for you and I was still ignored. Oh, and after the two other folks came in some old black lady came out helped them and ignored me too so I just left. I definitely won't be coming back here anytime soon. I bought a battery jumper unit that didn't work (and after it didn't work, i fixed it a different way) and when i went to return the jumper unit they were obnoxiously rude and confrontational and wouldn't take it back or even offer any assistance with the warranty. I will never buy another item here -- not the battery that I've bought in the past, not the windshield wipers that I've bought in the past, not the tools, nothing. Completely rude and insulting. I wonder how this is part of their business model. Might work for other consumers, but turned me off completely. read more
