I came here looking for engine and cabin filters for my wife's Rav 4, and was helped by Jamal who was very friendly and got me the parts at a good price. In addition, I had previously bought a car battery at another parts store, and wasn't sure if it was the right one. I needed some oil the other day and stopped into LeMay Auto for a few quarts. The owner happened to be there during my visit, and he was not only nice, but truly informative. My car died unexpectedly in a parking spot that was on a block about to be shut down for roadwork. Went to Le May's yesterday to try and buy a license plate bracket, they don't carry them but offered to order one for me, saying the cost would be around $50 or $60 dollars and would be hard to find since I have an Oldsmobile. Umm... I know I'm a girl but I wasn't born yesterday, license brackets are not hard to find, they make universal ones and they are $3 or $4 dollars, not $50. Definitely felt like they were taking advantage of me being a woman. read more

This is an OLD SCHOOL parts store run by old men who have a sense of humor and who actually know what they are taking about, not minimum wage grunts who only know what the computer screen tells them. If you need advice and parts for your vehicle, this is the place to go. Today I priced a fuel filter at Advance Auto Parts, they wanted $55. I got it at Lemay for $15. The first time I came here was because my battery was completely dead and after jumping it, my car was running like crap. I came here to get a new battery and the guy actually talked me out of dropping $100 and told me to take the car on the freeway for 30 minutes and charge the battery at high speed first. It worked and I saved the cost of a new battery. This store has knowledgeable and honest staff. And I'll always come here for parts first. read more

I've been to Le May twice. The first time, about 5 years ago, I bought windshield wiper blades and the guy offered to install them for free. Sweet deal. I think it was raining or snowing that day, too. A year ago, a friend bought me some wiper blades that she said were the only brand she'll use--but that they were tricky to install if you don't know what you're doing, so get someone to do it for you. Finally, after all this time, I stopped by Le May this week. I told the older guy behind the counter, "My friend gave me some wiper blades as a gift. If I give you $20, would you put them on for me?" He said, "I'll do it for free," and boom, my wipers were done. Incredible customer service for a non-paying customer! (I think the guy was the owner and not a working stiff in need of the cash.) read more

The owner is incredibility rude. I went in to purchase a headlight bulb for my honda. The bulb had a 50% markup, as compared to a dealership, so you know you're getting ripped off. He charged an additional $5 for someone to put it in, and then got angry when I questioned the charge. The additional $5 wouldn't have been an issue if the price was reasonable to begin with. I took the bulb out and went on my way. His excuse for his crass attitude was that he "deals with manufactures and major companies for wholesale [not small time parts]." Skip the hassle and go somewhere else. read more

I have a problem car. Its always got some obscure problem and requires some annoying part that can usually only be found at the dealer. Le May ALWAYS comes to the rescue. They find the best deals, are willing to call the dealer or get the name brand parts when necessary. Im an internet girl and routinely research costs on the internet. They are typically 10-15% below those prices. They won't win points on softness or bedside manner. Its a parts place, not a spa. I like their directness. They're honest and appreciate when you're honest too...if you have no clue, don't front. They will help you troubleshoot and give honest opinions. I love LeMay read more
