This location has the oddest placement, however, it is convenient for those that live within the…read moreneighborhood and those that frequently drive along Chicago Ave. If I were not familiar with the area I would not think that there was an Advance Auto Parts in this area because it is just not fitting. The location does have its own parking space which is well enough for its customer in-and-out flow. An empty, lifeless vibe is what I felt prior to and once I entered. It is like a gas station placed out in the middle of the desert to give you an idea of its atmosphere. If it were not one customer who had the hood of his vehicle up in the parking lot I probably would have thought that this place was closed. My visit was solely to purchase a rear brake light bulb because I was pulled over by an officer for it being out, so my visit was quick. Their system was down, so the associate required me to bring in the bulb in order for them to look up the part number to better assist me. There was no enthusiasm whatsoever during our interaction; the encounter was straight to the point, but professional! This place is a scam. I have 3 stories as proof…read more 1. Took my car in for coolant leak. They checked it and said radiator leak. Price was stupid so I went elsewhere. I didn't realize when they checked the antifreeze reservoir they took off the hose needed to suck up antifreeze and didn't put it back. I felt they were intentionally trying to break my car down. 2. Took my car to replace brake pad and rotors. I took my own parts. When I got my parts back I noticed they didn't put the sensors which is standard. They acted dumb about it and fixed it. 3. Took my car for an oil change. They noticed the screw in the oil pan wasn't original. I told them don't worry I've had oil changes for 5 years and never had any problems. After the oil change my car is leaking more oil than usual. 4. My car had warranty for the repairs. However they charge differently when warranty is used. They said it would be cheaper for me to pay out of pocket instead of using the warranty. The other shop I went to charged me the same price with or without warranty. Shady af. My fault for going back just bc it's conveniently located down the block. But after all this bullshit I will never go back. Short dude at the front desk is rude af as well. Go elsewhere, this place is shady af.
