I visited Belle Tire today to have them check my tires. After an inspection the sales associate Joe informed me that two of the tires were in need of replacement but the other tires were still in good condition. The recommendation was to replace the two tires. They ordered the same tires that were on the Van. They check the alignment and said that the alignment was still good and I did not need to have that done. I really appreciated their honesty,!they could've just said I needed to get an alignment and I would have not known either way. Arrived at 9:37. Promise by time of 11:45 on their board. Four open bays, three employees at the counters on their phones. It's now 10:39. Simple defective rotor issue they could get it up on the lift for. Or even one of the counter folks could take over and expedite the process. Covered the warranty issue, but extended my ready time to 1:45pm. So almost 4.5 hours for minimal customers. Aside from that, they resolved my issue. read more

Took care of a blown tire as soon as the car was dropped off an hour before closing. Extremely forthright, honest Assistant Manager. Well done customer service with an estimate for complete repairs including the tire and rim. Clean facilities including the garage (that tells you how theyr'e run), comfortable waiting room and windows to view your car's repair. They even wrapped the blown tire in plastic before putting it in the trunk. Friendly employees. Brought my 2014 Mercedes Sprinter to a local shop, specializing in Sprinters, with an awful front end noise. Was told I needed shocks and struts to the tune of $2200.00. Decided to get a second price from Belle. Told "James" at the front desk that I thought I may need shocks due to the noise it was making. He asked that I leave the vehicle to which I did. A couple hours later, James called me and told me that I didn't in fact need shocks and struts but instead just needed the ball joints greased. Well the tech at Belle did that and unbelievably my Sprinter doesn't make anymore noise!!! I highly recommended this place and as a matter of fact, Belle will now be my go-to auto repair shop! On 3 July 2023 the day after the Chicago flood I brought my car into the Belle Tire in Melrose Park to fix my tire after getting something lodged in it from the flood waters. I asked the attendant Jim (name taken from receipt) if the tire could be fixed he immediately says NO. The no was so fast that I had the feeling that he only wanted to sell a new tire which I had no other choice but to purchase at $297.40 because I was on a donut and I was leaving the country within the next 3 days and had many things that needed to be done before departure. I don't believe a male would have received this quick reply (LADIES BE AWARE). Sam's club was my first choice but they did not have the tire which lead me to Belle. After waiting a bit too long (over a hour) I started looking around and after hearing a loud banging sound I stood up to see a young man through the glass windows, banging and hitting the wheel carriage of my car with a large garage tool!! this is a 60K car you're banging on!!! He was really going at it!! I got up and walked towards the employee entrance ready to yell out STOP!! when Jim attending the register seeing my heading for the door stepped up and went to the back to talk to the employee. He returns to tell me that my wheel stud was stripped and now it needed to be replaced, I was appalled at how my car was being handled. The next day was the 4th of July (store closed) and the store did not have the parts to fix the stripped stud that day, so they put on the new tire with promises to repair it on the 5th once they got the tools. They put on the new tire and I got my car and left. Not liking how they handled me or my car, I telephoned the Belle shop to ask if I could take my car to the Cadillac dealer to have them replace the stud and bill Belle tire afterwards, by now Jesus the manager was talking to me. He stated that they had already ordered the parts but that I could call him once at the Cadillac dealer and he would let me know if they would pay the bill or not depended on the price. On the 5th of July I telephoned Jesus with the price from Cadillac which was $200.00. The Cadillac dealer advised me to go ahead and let Belle make the repair and that it was a minor thing that they could do. I telephoned to let Jesus know that I would be departing the country for one week and upon my return I will come in to get my car repaired. I returned to the country and telephoned Belle on Tuesday the 17th to see if I could come in to get the stud replaced, Jesus told me to come in and they would work me in but I mentioned that I had a heavy schedule and that I would not be able to sit to be worked in. I asked if he could set me up for an appointment, to which he told me to come in on Wednesday the 19th at 8:30am. I agreed and arrived at 8:30am on the 19th. Again I did not like the feeling I was getting in there. I am very positive that If I had a man with me that there would be no way I would have been handled the way that I was. I arrive for my appointment and am told that they would have to go out to get the part because Jesus did not tell them that I was coming and that they had thought that Cadillac had fixed my car, I mentioned how Jesus had said he had already ordered the part, but Jesus had not mentioned or noted anything about my coming in on the 19th and he was not coming in at all that day. Jim (name taken from the receipt) told me that they could have me out of there within the hour so I sat and waited. I waited and waited and waited. After about an hour I got up to see my car heisted in the air not being worked on at all. I was told that the part was not in yet. I was totally disturbed with this companies "incompetence" all around, lack of communication, lack of experienced personnel to simply change a tire which is their primary business. Ladies all I can say is that if you must patronize this business do so with a male at your side. Hopefully you will not have to deal with them at all. The entire time I had to deal with them I felt the issue of being a black female had something to do with how I was being treated. Yes I said it! Also I want to add that I did call the corporate office the same day my car was repaired, the point of contact at the corporate office played phone tag with me for a while, I had left him a message saying exactly how I was treated by the Melrose Park business. When we finally spoke, I could tell that he had already spoken to the Melrose Park business. HIs tones with me were condescending like awwwww so sorry, have a nice day. I just hung up. Anyway, for whatever reason I tried to avoid even writing this review, but that Belle name keeps popping up every day so here you go!!! I hope I'm helping somebody. Now I have to make an appointment with Cadillac to get my wheels aligned because NO THEY DID NOT DO IT!!!!! have a blessed day! read more
