Williams Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Dundee

My entire family have been loyal Williams Brothers customers, purchasing multiple Jeep, Dodge, and…read moreRam vehicles from this dealership since shortly after they opened. My dad's 2022 Ram 3500 diesel developed a recurring DPF issue that was documented here four times in six months. Each visit, they performed temporary fixes and cleared codes without resolving the root cause. When the DPF finally failed completely, they quoted him $3,012 and said no warranty covered it. My parents questioned this, and we collected documentation and sent it to the warranty company and dealership. We requested a denial in writing. Matt Williams reached out and wanted to schedule a meeting and suggested we trade in the truck. We continued asking for the denial in writing and he never provided one. He told my parents they 'just didn't want to pay.' Meanwhile, the manufacturer had already put out a bulletin identifying this exact problem as a manufacturing defect. The dealership never mentioned it. We did our own research, put together the paperwork (the same invoices and service records the dealership already had) and sent it to the warranty company ourselves. The warranty company reversed their initial denial and approved the repair. We took the truck to Monroe Dodge, where it was fixed under warranty within a week. Our cost was $350 instead of $3,012. Monroe Dodge assigned a senior diesel mechanic, found a more thorough repair was needed than what Williams Brothers quoted, covered extra parts at no charge, and offered shuttle service. Night and day difference. If we had trusted Williams Brothers and not done our own research, my parents would have paid over $3,000 for a repair that was covered the entire time. After years of loyalty and hundreds of thousands of dollars in vehicle purchases, this is how they treated us. We will never return.

They are lucky that they are receiving a 2 from me. I purchased a used 2019 Jeep Wrangler in 2022,…read moreand this was honestly one of the biggest regrets I have ever made in my life. The salesman that I worked with for sure played me like a fiddle to the point where I am stuck in this car and CANNOT for the life of me get out of the loan without either walking away completely and it being re-possessed or owing almost 11K on the car I would trade it for. I had an issue with the car right when I got it in 2022. I called and the service department told me to not drive the vehicle, but they wouldn't be able to see the car for another 3-4 weeks to find out what was happening. I had picked one of the highest warranty coverages through them when I got the car due to it being a used vehicle. I asked about getting a loaner in the meantime due to this being my daily transportation. Found out NOPE, they don't do loaners. So, I would be paying over $700 for a car that I wouldn't be able to even drive. Ended up resolving that issue with no ASSISTANCE from them. On January 16th 2026, I was driving to work, and my car broke down and wouldn't turn on and or shift into gear. So, I got it towed. I had it towed here due to having the warranty though them (ONLY REASON I TOOK THE CAR THERE). It gets there and I had to tell the service guy not once, not twice, but three times what was wrong with the car. And then he asked me if I could describe what dash lights were on (he wanted to make sure I wasn't confused when telling him. I wasn't.) He then tells me this is a STAR CASE, and they had to open a ticket to connect to a higher level of service to get clearance to work on the part. The service guy has been great. But the process of getting my car fixed has been horrible. I have two warranties and the one doesn't even cover what is wrong with the car (even though it's a bizarre technological issue). I was waiting on hearing back from the other one if it would be cover. But if it wasn't, I was going to have to pay out of pocket for everything totaling up to $2500. Thankfully and magically after I complained about paying for warranties and threatening to cancel them due to them not covering any issues, I get a phone call the next day that it is covered and the part was on the way. Part wasn't going to be here until January 30th. Okay. Fine. I wait patiently and never hear anything about it. So, I call them on the Thursday before the part was going to be delivered to ask about updates etc. I was then told the part might be pushed back due to the snowstorm but they most likely would get the part and my car would be done and ready to be picked up Monday. Well, yesterday I get a phone call at 5:57 pm (3 minutes before they close) that the part was somehow cancelled due to being hazardous and sent back to the manufacturer. I was also informed that they have no idea how long it will take for this part to be delivered from the manufacturer due to the last part needing 2 weeks to arrive. So, not only am I being screwed over by not getting my car back. But I am also out of money. A LOT OF MONEY. So, who knows when my car will ever be back in my possession. I do know one thing for sure though, I will NEVER come back to this dealership, I will NEVER use this service department again, and I will also NEVER recommend this to any of my friends/family members/colleagues/ and clients. The only reason they have received a 2 star is for their head of service department Cameron. He has been completely transparent about the issues they have been facing, and I don't blame him at all for the issues I have continued to have with this company. UPDATE: After talking to the service department Monday night I was told I was going to be called bright and early Tuesday. NEVER HAPPENED! Didn't get a call till Wednesday, again 2 minutes before they close, and was informed that they still haven't ordered my part and or contacted the manufacturer. And the guy I've been dealing with won't be back into the office until Friday. Seriously f this place.

The signed 139-point inspection certified the vehicle as passing across all relevant categories. Within 215 miles of delivery, two independent inspections (an authorized Kia dealer and an independent shop) documented multiple safety defects that directly contradict that certification: -- All four tires unsafe to drive (4/32 tread on inside grooves, severe cupping, shifted internal belts, underlying alignment defect) -- completely missed by their certification, which recorded 7/32 tread and passing condition and wear pattern. -- A spreading spiderweb crack in the driver's line of sight, represented to me as a "repaired" chip. -- An audible engine defect traced to a binding belt tensioner that should have been caught in the 139-point inspection. I tried for over two weeks to resolve this directly with Spirit Ford. Their final offer was $600 -- less than 15% of the actual repair cost -- framed as "a courtesy." Based on what their own signed certification missed on my vehicle, I would not trust a Spirit Ford 'Blue Certified' inspection. Future buyers should get an independent pre-purchase inspection from a shop they trust before signing anything.
