I have a 2006 Toyota Matrix that has never had a major issue so it was finally do for something this year. I went to Sullivan's who quoted me $1100 to fix my exhaust system even though just one part of it needed replaced. I asked friends and coworkers if they knew any good, honest, stand up mechanics because I'm new to city and a woman so I've been screwed over before and didn't want to again. My wonderful colleague suggested Vinnie and said he's the reason he's never leaving Boston! Vinnie immediately had me bring my car to the shop, said not to worry about a thing and he'd fix it. He called me a couple hours later explaining what was broken, how much the part was he had to order, $150 and I can pick it up later that day. I came away spending only $350 for everything, parts, tax, and labor. He even saw that the framing on the drivers side was loose and fixed that too! When I picked my car up he showed me pictures he took of the whole process, before and after and explained everything to me. He treated me with respect and while that shouldn't have to be a major plus or hard to find, it has been since I first started driving. So yeah, I won't take my car anywhere else now so long as I live here. There's just no reason to.
