About a month ago I had a headlight out and he intelligently talked me into buying the 2 pack, (I was amazed at how expensive bulbs were), but he said it was a savings and to put the other one in my glove compartment for when that headlight went out. He then graciously fixed my headlight. I couldn't have felt more grateful for Mark. Then. yesterday I noticed my other headlight was out and went back to Autozone and Mark again quickly and effortlessly installed my headlight. This is such a hugh service to a person like myself. I truly appreciate the way customer service is so alive in this store. it really makes a difference when the employees are so willing to help. Today was totally different from the usual service I receive. I arrived at 2:20pm for an inspection. As I was walking towards the door, one of the staff members asked me if I was with the guy he was helping in front of me. I said no, and he asked if I was here for an inspection and I said yes. He then sighed and said "I'm gonna be here all night." The sign posted said they do inspections until 4 or 4:30pm, so I was well within an appropriate time frame. I shrugged it off and he said "you can go wait in your car, it's gonna be a while." I waited in my car for all of 15 minutes max (not long at all) before he came up to my window to get my car and bring it back. I rolled down the window and turned to my passenger seat to get my registration that I had placed there and he said, "Sometime this year." I quickly passed it to him and got out of the car. As I was walking towards the building to wait in the shade he called out, "I should've been home an hour ago, I should've been cooking by now." The inspection was completed in a timely manner and I followed him inside to pay. I walked over to the card reader on the table with my card in hand and stepped over to the side. He stood across from me staring for at least 5 seconds before he said, "are you ready?" I responded with, "yes..? I'm waiting for you." There had been nothing programmed on the card reader yet so what was I supposed to do? Overall it was just a very strange interaction that left me feeling like I was burdening him. I have worked with the public for 10 years now and could never imagine speaking to a customer that way, I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Unfortunately will not be continuing my business with them.

He never advised the cost of these services and was shocked when told the bill $450 plus. I noticed they did the same with other customers. I vigorously complained that they either need to make sure the discuss cost or post their charges. The boss did reduce the bill by about $150 but the practice of running up a bill without alerting the customer of the increase charges when just going in for an oil change is quite suspicious. I told them I would never return and I meant it. Beware!

My mother picked up the truck the first time and it wasn't fixed correctly. I called right away and steve was aware that it was not fixed and said he didn't know why it wasn't fixed and couldn't get it to work but he never made us aware of that while we were picking up the vehicle!!! When she picked up the vehicle the SECOND time the mirror that was supposed to be fixed no longer went in or out like it was supposed to and it did when she dropped it off originally. The door handle which had no previous damage is hanging off the vehicle. Inside the vehicle you have to unlock it twice so that you can get out of the driver door. It's a Cadillac Escalade and it is a shame that it is such a mess. I have left several messages for steve to call me back but I have yet to receive a phone call. The vehicle smells like mildew...leading me to believe it was left outside with the window open. This was a horrifying experience for an elderly woman I definitely would not recommend this place!!!! A guy took the watch in the back and about five minutes later brought it back out. I looked at the watch and saw that it was running, but it was in stopwatch mode. Not knowing anything about the watch, I paid the $8.99 and figured my brother could set the watch when I gave it back to him. It wasn't until the next day that my brother told me he couldn't set the watch because a couple of the buttons weren't working. I'm not at all saying the Interstate employee broke the watch, but I'm sure he knew that the new battery wasn't going to help, but wanted to be paid for the service so he didn't tell me. He got my $8.99 this time, but I definitely won't be back.
